Andro Timber 5 OFF
Blade description:
This 5-ply all-wood offensive blade is characterized by its lightweight construction, typically weighing around 80 grams. It offers a soft touch during contact, which contributes to a high level of control and excellent dwell time for spin-oriented play. Despite the soft feel, the blade structure incorporates a stiff core, which minimizes vibration and provides reliable accuracy across various offensive maneuvers.
Playing Characteristics
- Performance: Classified as an OFF- to OFF blade, it balances speed with precision. While it provides sufficient power for looping and offensive attacking, it remains accessible enough for beginners to learn foundational strokes.
- Feedback: The blade provides a soft, comfortable feel that is well-suited for players who prefer a traditional wood construction over composite alternatives.
- Balance: Due to its light weight and balanced design, it is highly maneuverable. It pairs effectively with a variety of rubbers, including modern tension rubbers, to enhance its performance in both flat hitting and topspin rallies.
Construction and Suitability
- Build: Traditional 5-ply all-wood construction.
- Ideal Use: Highly recommended for players seeking a high-quality, lightweight wooden blade that does not sacrifice control. Its balance of ease-of-use and offensive capabilities makes it a strong candidate for developing players, while its performance output is sufficient for experienced users who prioritize a natural wood feel.

5 ply, all wood. I think this blade is off- and off, with medium vibration. It offers good dwelling time and has good control. The weight is also not too heavy. It works well when combined with tensor rubber like R48 Ultramax in the FH and R45/R47 2.0 in the BH.

Personal Experience:
This is my best 5-plywood weapon! Paired with Yinhe Mercury II Hard (Black FH) and Nittaku Fastarc S-1 (Red BH), I feel very confident. I’ve been trying some All Wood blades by Yinhe, such as N7, N8, N8s, N9, N9s, N10s, N11s. Also, I used DHS PG9 for around 7 months. Here are my results:
1. Andro Timber 5 OFF 2. N8 3. N11s 4. PG9
Before trying the Timber 5 OFF, I thought that all the All Wood 5-ply blades were the same, regardless of price or brand. I doubted that the Timber 5 OFF could be any different from the blades I had tried before. However, my curiosity was put to rest! The Timber 5 OFF is far better than all the other all-wood blades I’ve tried! No regrets at all; it cost more money, but I found my true 5-plywood weapon! If you love All Wood blades, I highly recommend this underrated blade. No more words.

I bought this one for my wife because of the color. But when I got it, the quality of this blade is way beyond this price range. It is lightweight and an excellent fit in the hand.
In terms of performance, I got HS9 pink as FH, Tibhar Quantum purple as BH. It is a very good combination of colors! The best way to incentivize my wife to play ping pong with me. She had never played ping pong before. But after 2 months of practice using this blade, she learned looping on both FH and BH now! Never had any issues with this blade.
I will definitely recommend this blade if you are new to the sport!
