All-wood
This blade isn’t hard. I think it is somewhat elastic and soft, with a nice feel. It is a very precise blade, as its name suggests. My blade has a carbon layer after the core, and there is no vibration at all.
I agree that it is a bit slow, but I love watching well-controlled balls with a lot of spin on the other side of the net, causing a lot of trouble for the opponent.
A very nice blade, but my particular example is very springy. The ball literally flies off the blade. It still has decent control for pushing and blocking, but I found it surprisingly hard to loop consistently with. This is especially surprising given how light it is; I didn’t expect it to be so fast when attacking.
Hitting is okay with this blade, but again, it is very springy. In my opinion, it would pair well with medium-hard rubbers and a modern all-around game style.
It’s an awesome blade when combined with Donic Baracuda, Tibhar Sinus, Joola Express and Explode, and with Tenergy 25 at FH and 05 at BH. It gives almost a perfect game for offensive players of almost any level.
OK, so this was my first-ever blade. I combined it with Yasaka Mark V 2.0 mm rubbers. Then later switched to Sriver L 2.1. All I can say is that this is a great first blade for any amateur enthusiasts like myself.
Speed is not that fast, but definitely enough for beginner/low intermediate play. One thing that this blade has is CONTROL, as the name Precision says for itself. The handle is very nice and just fits in your hand.
Also, it is a cheap blade that you can set up for defense, all-round play, or offensive. I can see this blade working great with tenergy rubbers as an offensive bat for intermediate players. If you were considering buying it for your first blade, I say go for it. Then change the rubbers according to your play style.
I already had four different blades, but I only really liked the first Schlager Precision. The others didn’t have the same feeling.
Pros:
- Quite lightweight - Cheap - Matches well with Tenergy rubbers
Cons:
- Only like the feeling with a few rubbers - Not really perfect in the half distance or further afar from the table.
I had the Butterfly Schlager Precision before I replaced it with the Butterfly Schlager Carbon, and it was an unbelievable blade. It has excellent control and is fast as well.
I prefer this blade for players who want a balance of control and speed, and who play an all-round style.
I suggest that anyone who has this blade choose one of the four options below according to their playing style:
More Offensive: FH: Butterfly Tenergy 64 BH: Butterfly Tenergy 05
Moderate Offensive: FH: Butterfly Tenergy 05 BH: Butterfly Tenergy 05
Less Offensive: FH: Butterfly Roundell Soft BH: Butterfly Sriver G3 FX
All-Round: FH: Butterfly Roundell Soft BH: Butterfly Roundell Soft
I hope you enjoy playing even more than before and win more games.
Good combination with Tenergy 05 on FH and Sriver G3 FX on BH. Easy to loop, with good enough speed, making an overall OFF-/OFF combination.
