All-wood
The most control-oriented blade I have ever played. Its lower speed is compensated by its high precision. For a recreational player like myself, it is an excellent choice. Additionally, it is very affordable, costing me only 30 euros.
This lightweight blade makes transitioning between forehand (FH) and backhand (BH) shots effortless due to the easy switch between grips. The comfortable handle and measured feel of the blade create a reassuring playing experience. Ideal for pairing with a firm, elastic rubber on the backhand, such as the Rasenter R48 or R50, and an amplified Hurricane 2 or 3 on forehand. This setup ensures a balanced combination of control and power for players with solid technique.
I’ll start by saying that I am an all-round player and I’m still learning! My stronger side is BH but I also play topspin FH. The blade is light, has a small head, and a very comfortable FL handle! I recommend that everyone varnish it, it’s necessary! I didn’t varnish mine, and unfortunately, the veneer peeled off and you could see the red layer on the deck on both sides. First, I used Butterfly Flextra rubbers on it. The control was super and the speed was low. This was due to the rubbers, however, the rotation was high even though the rubbers were typically slow. Later, I glued Aurus Sound 1.9 onto the BH and Yasaka 7 Soft 1.8 onto the FH. I’ll say that the rotation was enormous on both sides, super control, every ball was on the table, and the block was very good and pleasant!
Definitely, one of the best blades for beginner to intermediate players. Speed and spin can be regulated by the rubbers used. Try it out!
This blade is exceptional. Its versatility allows it to cater to various playing styles depending on the rubber used.
In my experience experimenting with several off- blades, I have found many to be excessively fast or heavy. The Persson blade has emerged as my top choice, earning its reputation as a bestseller for valid reasons.
Its exceptional forgiveness and control make it a joy to use, while still providing ample power for swift attacks. The blade’s flexibility lends itself well to topspin, and its sturdiness ensures effective blocking.
Additionally, its balanced design prevents it from becoming top-heavy. This attribute makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of players.
Remarkably, this blade offers all these features at a reasonable price.
My first custom built bat is based on Donic Persson Power Allround wood. It’s an excellent starter blade that provides a great feel and comes at a reasonable price. The blade is known for its good quality and is well-suited for an all-round style of play. I found it to be quite responsive and comfortable to use. Overall, I can recommend this blade to anyone looking for a good all-round blade without breaking the bank.
This is a marvelous blade, offering ample control and power due to its flexibility and blade consistency. It is especially recommended for loopers or hitters who play with hard ESN rubbers.
It is a nice blade, but without much control.
