My first blade by Donic. Needs varnishing!!!
It is really off+. But the control feels how off it is. And this is great!
If proper technique is used, the outer-fiber blade can excel in all aspects of the game. It offers exceptional power, great speed, and impressive control, but its true standout feature lies in its exceptional blocking capabilities.
As one of the original SZLC blades to enter the market, this blade’s touch and sensational feel are unmatched. Its construction (Spruce, Carbon Fleece Zylon, Spruce, Kiri) allows for a wide range of power depending on the rubber used.
When paired with medium-soft rubber like the Donic Bluestorm Z3 (2.1) on both sides, the blade delivers an incredible balance of speed and control. This combination provides excellent dwell time, making it ideal for looping, smashing, pushing, flicking, open-ups, and other techniques.
Weighing in at 199 grams, it perfectly complements the modern game with the new 40+ balls. The flared (concave) handle provides a comfortable grip.
The blade’s exceptional quality earns it a solid 10 rating as it consistently delivers on its intended purpose.
The Donic World Champion 89’ blade series (3 blades) was specifically designed for the modern game (Persson OFF+, Waldner OFF, Appelgren AR+). These top-notch blades demand good technique and skills to handle effectively.
Tabletennis11 website store offers exceptional pricing, quality service, secure packaging, fast shipping, and a comprehensive selection of table tennis products to meet your needs at reasonable prices.
The blade offers excellent control and speed. It has a big sweet spot and produces a unique sound. Blocking shots is impressive with this blade. Placing the ball comes naturally. It is also great for counter-attacking.
When comparing the Persson World Champion '89 blade to the Waldner World Champion '89 blade, the latter is slightly faster but offers the same control. Both blades are among the best ORIGINAL SZLC blades available. They offer the speed and control needed for modern table tennis.
The Donic Bluestorm rubbers enhance the performance of these remarkable blades. You won’t be disappointed using either of these blades as long as proper technique is used when handling the ball. These are exceptional blades that deserve a 5-star rating.
First impressions of this blade are very powerful. With its dwell time, it is good enough to make the ball more rotating with a little friction. I use the Dhs Hurricane 8 in the forehand and Stiga Genesis S in the backhand. The ST handle makes it easy for me to backhand flick on the table. I highly recommend this blade for players who are fast and aggressive. I like this blade.
Fantastic blade! I was using a Waldner Dicon with Bluefire M2 (FH) and Bluefire M3 (BH) and this was a great change. I just changed the rubbers from the old blade to the new one and suddenly I was able to do things I never did before, with great control, placement and a soft-touch feeling I never felt before.
I felt like… Waldner! When throwing some tricky shots it was like I thought of what to do and where to put the ball and it went exactly to the target.
A good blade for those seeking something similar to Primorac Carbon but with less speed, more control, and more power for topspins. It plays well with rubbers up to 55 degrees hardness, such as Bluegrip C2. I play with Bluegrip C2 on my forehand and Nittaku PK50 on my backhand.
Power in quantity, but not at the expense of feel. It’s excellent if you want to hit hard from a distance, but it also maintains remarkable control up close.
The touch is impressive. Of the WC 89 series, it is definitely the most powerful.
Not the easiest in all situations, but far from impossible to manage. I don’t think it’s a good choice for those without experience.
Excellent craftsmanship and high quality materials.
This blade is fast, yet still offers good control.
Thank you, TT11.
A great blade, but not for beginners. It offers a lot of power and a good degree of control.
It resembles the Waldner blade from the same series, but with more muscle.
It has good speed and control.
Intermediate and advanced players will enjoy using this blade.
Good finish quality, as always.
Good blade paired with Donic BlueStar A1 rubbers for both forehand (FH) and backhand (BH).
I purchased two rackets: one for matches and the other for training.
A very fast blade designed for offensive players. However, it still allows you to hit very heavy spins. High quality and highly recommended!
I ordered this as an additional blade along with the Donic Original True Carbon.
The blade looks amazing and feels light.
I haven’t decided on the rubbers yet. I will update once I start using it.
I switched from a Hinoki + Energy Carbon blade (with MXP & T05 rubbers) and I love this setup.
Paired with G1 and Barracuda rubbers, it is about 10% slower, but offers 30%+ more control and spin on drives. Full loops were about the same. I would not go back to Axelo in the near future.
I have not tried Butterfly’s SZLC blades, but at half the price, I should have at least 90% of the quality. I tried the ZJK ALC with Rozena rubbers, and it was a lot slower and had less spin.
The sound is amazing. I love hitting a strong forehand with it.
It’s a very fast racquet.
This blade is incredibly fast, and I like it very much.
Very fast, making it ideal for an attacking play style.
Great-looking outer-fiber SZLC blade. The blade provides very nice control for such a fast blade and has a very nice touch and feel for ball placement.
It can be as powerful as you want it to be, depending on the rubbers used. Definitely an OFF to OFF+ blade and a standout blade for blocking. The blade carries a little weight, around 98 grams, which makes it a great blade for modern table tennis.
Requires good technique and skill and is not recommended for beginners. The World Champion 89 series blades (3 of them) are the best blades Donic has produced, in my opinion: Persson OFF+, Waldner OFF, and Appelgren AR+. Give one a try.
I have always wanted this blade since it first appeared years ago. Thanks to the weekend special, now I have it.
With Donic Coppa X1 Gold (FH, BH), the racket weighs about 175 grams. The weight of the racket maintains its offensive character. The handle is just right.
Hello, I wanted to say keep up the good work!
Not only do you provide customers with better products, but you also deliver them on time.
The blade seems a bit heavier than the Waldner blade, but it strikes harder.
I bought all three 89 Champion blades as a collection.
The shipping is always fast, even during Christmas time. It took three days to Canada, which never fails to amaze me.
Fast and offers good control.
The item arrived in good condition.
It feels faster, a bit heavier, and softer than my Fang Bo 2. It has a somewhat Viscaria-like feel.
Overall, it’s a very good blade.
Beautifully designed and played.
However, an advanced skill level is recommended for optimal enjoyment.
The best company and service ever!
Good quality. I can’t complain about a single thing.
The feeling is the same as the Butterfly Amultart.
Good value. This blade is very fast but provides a good feeling.
Have you ever read a review claiming the Stiga Genesis M lacks power? Let me tell you, they must have been using the wrong blade!
Enter Donic’s World Champion 89 Persson. This blade possesses a unique blend of hardness that allows the Stiga Genesis M on the backhand side to explode with power! This energy translates into exceptional looping on both wings, if executed correctly.
Thanks to its generous sweet spot, blocking becomes a strong suit, and I find that I have good control overall. The only potential drawback, in my opinion, is the feel of the ball when serving. It feels different compared to any other blade I’ve tried. It’s difficult to articulate, but it simply feels distinct.
I use R47 on my forehand, and it pairs nicely with this blade. I am very happy with its performance as I strive to elevate my game. If you’re an offensive player who enjoys attacking, playing defense, and counter-attacking, this blade is definitely worth considering!
Good blade, I like it.
Excellent quality blade with very good speed and excellent control. It has a large sweet spot, and the finishings are very well detailed. You can tell that Donic is striving to make better quality products.
Very fast and attacking. If you pair it with Xiom Omega IV Pro or V (max), it becomes a very good option.
You can play both topspins and flat hits. However, it is very demanding regarding technique.
Very powerful, offering great speed and excellent blocking capabilities. It pairs well with Donic Big Slam Formula rubbers. The handle fits nicely in the hand. With proper technique, this blade can do anything you ask of it.
This product has a low price and good quality. It is worth buying.
This blade is offensive but very heavy. It weighs 102 grams.
This blade offers good control and high power/speed. However, it is heavy, weighing 98 grams. Thanks.
The blade is of very high quality. Its impressive speed doesn’t compromise control. Thank you for the quick order delivery.
