The Amadeus is a 7-ply all-wood blade characterized by its high-quality construction, featuring a smooth, polished finish and a Kiso Hinoki outer ply. Despite being marketed in some regions as an all-around blade, users consistently report that it performs as an offensive-leaning blade, offering a fast pace that is well-suited for mid-to-long distance looping and aggressive topspin play.
Performance and Feel
- Tactile Feedback: The blade is noted for its exceptional feeling upon impact, allowing the user to clearly sense the quality of the stroke and the ball’s contact. The Kiso Hinoki outer layer provides a distinct “drag” sensation during topspin execution.
- Balance and Handling: The blade features a smaller-than-average face size, which reduces overall weight and contributes to an excellent balance between the handle and the head. This design makes the setup feel maneuverable, even when paired with heavier rubber sheets.

Feeling is being dragged by a ball, while impacting to topspin, because the surface wood is Kiso Hinoki. The Amadeus is slightly more resistant than ordinary 5-wood OFF blades.
I used it since 2010, with many rubbers. Xiom Omega2, Vega Asia, Vega Europe, Vega Pro, Adidas R4, Tibhar Aurus, Aurus Soft, Palio Macro Era… etc.
Now, I use Tibhar MX-P. MX-P is suitable for the Amadeus. It’s good for modern allround players. Very easy to quickly topspin and play spinny.

Very good control and speed blade. Nice feeling.
I love this blade.
I use it with DHS NEO Hurricane II for forehand and DHS Memo II for backhand.

This blade offers a high level of control while still providing good offensive speed. The spin is very good, and it’s easy to hit the ball with precision. Overall, it’s an amazing blade that is very well-suited for players of all levels.
