Composite/carbon

For me, this blade is OFF, not OFF+. It offers amazing control and is fantastic for looping, but it lacks the edge to consistently put the ball away. I was using the Xiom Sigma 1 Pro and Xiom Omega 4 Elite.

Despite being a 9-ply blade with 4 carbon layers and hard outer layers, this blade surprisingly offers a long dwell time.

When hitting, the arc is relatively low, but when topspinning, the ball trajectory becomes significantly higher.

I have used this blade with rubbers of varying hardness and found that it pairs best with soft rubbers that produce a high throw angle, such as Bluefire M3 or 03JP.

This is a true off+ blade. When using the same rubber combination, it outperforms all the other off blade I have tried, including the Tibhar Stratus CB, TBS, Timo Boll ALC, WSC, and Viscaria.

I just got this blade and played with it for the first time for about an hour. I have to agree with everyone who has commented on the build quality. This is a beautifully crafted blade, and although it is the most aggressive blade I have used to date, it was extremely easy to make the adjustment. Andro Rasant max on the forehand, and Rakza 7 soft 2.0 on the backhand. Everything I could ask for, speed, control, touch, and the Rasant gives people fits.

The blades are very thin but have incredible speed. However, they maintain control at the table, minimizing errors. Due to their 9-layer construction, these blades feel heavy and hard. For optimal balance, I recommend using soft rubber on both sides.

My previous blade was a BTY Hinoki Shake Swift, which had a very soft feel and was flexible. The XIOM Quad V1 has a very sharp and hard feeling. Even though it has 4 layers of carbon (2 energy + 2 soft), it has good speed and is very controllable.

I used a H3 neo on the forehand (FH) and an Omega Pro on the backhand (BH). I find that this blade, along with my Omega Pro, is a very good setup! This blade could make my BH strokes so much more flexible. I can block, push, actively block, and flick with ease!

As the description from the manufacturer says, this blade is perfect for mid-close gameplay.

I cannot say anything bad about this blade. It is a carbon blade that offers unparalleled control, without being overly fast to the point of becoming uncontrollable.

Basically, what is advertised by Xiom in the catalog is true. The blade provides a long trajectory and good dwell time.

Tested with Zetro, V1 Quad, Stradavius, Timo Boll ZLF, and Andro Aramid, it excelled in the following areas:

1. Modern Topspin: Zetro > Andro Aramid > Stradavius > Boll ZLF > V1 Quad 2. Classical Topspin: V1 Quad > Boll ZLF > Andro Aramid > Zetro > Stradavius 3. Passive Block: Andro Aramid > Stardavius > Boll ZLF > V1 Quad > Zetro 4. Active Block: Andro Aramid > Zetro > Stradavius > Boll ZLF > V1 Quad 5. Counter Topspin: Zetro > Andro Aramid > V1 Quad > Boll ZLF > Stardavius 6. Serve: Boll ZLF > V1 Quad > Zetro > Andro Aramid > Stradavius 7. Loop: V1 Quad > Zetro > Boll ZLF > Andro Aramid > Stradavius
