Yasaka Silverline Carbon

Composite/carbon

Pretty much every reviewer is spot on with the silver carbon here. It’s an inner carbon style blade. It’s thin, has some flex with a woody feel. At higher gears, some carbon kicks in and helps you but that’s it.

Maybe we can say that it’s a slower version of innerforce zlc or a harder version of innerforce zlf.

The ST handle is on the squared side but not like a galaxa, dynamix or timo boll alc kind of squared.

With two tenergy 80 it’s still not that head heavy.

I really liked that blade. I was trying to find a little bit stiffer or faster virtuoso and I think I found what I want. Not the exact feeling of course but close enough.

This blade offers a balanced speed that is neither too fast nor too slow. It excels in looping and smashing techniques. The high throw angle allows for precise ball placement. Its spin capabilities are exceptional, enabling players to generate a variety of spin variations. Players will appreciate the superb control and minimal vibration, which enhances touch and precision. However, the blade’s construction may not provide the same level of solidity as some other blades. It features a carbon fiber composition blended with a natural wood feel, offering a unique combination of rigidity and sensitivity.

This is my second blade. I bought this because I wanted a little faster blade than my previous one. This blade is not too fast, not too slow, with good control. However, when you hit hard, it is fast enough to win a point. It is good for looping and smashing. I paired it with DHS Hurricane 3 Neo on the forehand and Friendship 802-40 on the backhand. It is a good combination that allows you to defend and attack. The only issue is that the handle is a little bit thin, so I put a handle grip on it.

This blade has a similar feel to the Stiga Offensive Classic Carbon without the vibrations, and the neckline resembles the DHS PG12 flared blade. It is not a fast carbon blade and lacks bounciness. It has a head-heavy weight. When using 2.1 5Q on BH and 2.1 Hexer Duro on FH, the blade performed adequately, but it did not provide any exceptional qualities. The construction of the blade is satisfactory, and soft touch shots were executed well. Looping on both FH and BH was average.
