This rubber is very fast and light, making it suitable for attackers only.

I bought this because I believed the sponge was medium, but it’s actually medium-hard or possibly a bit firmer. The spin is not great for low power shots, as the ball cannot sink into the rubber. This rubber generates insufficient spin for my efforts.

The throw is very low, making looping difficult. However, it is fast. It is challenging to achieve an arc with the ball like you can with products such as Tenergry 05. This rubber has similar speed and spin qualities to DHS NEO SKYLINE TG 2.

It’s important to note that I have only used this rubber for a day. I may update this review as I gain more experience with it.

The rubber is of top quality, but it has a low throw, which makes it difficult to loop effectively. This makes it a good choice for smashers, blockers, and power players, but not for players who rely on looping. Overall, the rubber is of good quality, but it may not be suitable for all players.

I’ve played with the same sheet of Boost TX rubbers for about a year now. It’s still as sticky as it was the day I bought it, even with deterioration at the edges due to wear and tear. The attributes that make this rubber so well received are no joke. This rubber is very fast, even high-level players are surprised by it.

It’s a soft rubber that has a very springy snap to it. The very long dwell time makes serves very spinny and pushes very versatile.

This is a very good backhand rubber, especially if you prefer low-throw rubber. It produces a fast ball, even when used with Donic Epox Control, with enough spin to end a rally. It chops very well, and the control is excellent, although I attribute most of that to my blade.

However, it is a bit brittle. After approximately 6 weeks of playing, around 10 hours a week, the sides began to crack, but it is still playable. Overall, it is a good value for the price.

Excellent rubber in many areas, well-priced, still a powerful and top rubber for the offensive game. Perfect for Stiga Clipper Classic.

Great rubber with a lot of spin and great feel. However, you must choose the right blade for it.

Very good BH rubber. It’s very good for blocking in combination with Tibhar Powerwood. Opening loops is also OK.

Best rubber for backhand. You can easily return backhand balls to your opponent’s side with lots of speed and spin.

It’s an awesome rubber!

This Stiga rubber is the best of all time, even better than Calibras and Magnus. I love it.

This is my current backhand rubber, and I am satisfied with it. I needed to replace Rakza on my backhand due to its higher throw. I wanted to find a fast rubber with a lower throw.

This rubber is supposed to be faster than Almana (according to Stiga website product details), but it isn’t. It is fast, but its speed is almost identical to Rakza. Additionally, I don’t feel any extra high catapult effect; it performs linearly. You can feel a much stronger catapult effect with Rakza.

The throw angle is medium-low, exactly what I was looking for. So it is 50/50; I was expecting more speed. I’m keeping it anyway. It has very good spin and nice control (it isn’t too sensitive to incoming spin compared to Rakza).

The sponge hardness is medium, something around Tenergy. On the other hand, it is not a high-speed bomb as Stiga claims. I recommend it to everyone for a close-to-the-table all-around attack-block game. If it were faster… 8/10.

Sorry for the double post, I didn’t notice I wasn’t logged in.

EDIT (December 2011) I’m replacing Boost with Rakza again. Boost is an awesome rubber, but it plays best close to the table. I play more from mid-distance, and Rakza is better in that regard.

I recently bought a custom paddle from PaddlePalace with this rubber on my forehand (FH) and Hammond ProB on my backhand (BH). This is by far the fastest and most spinny rubber I have played with (on my FH). My only complaint is that the throw angle is quite low and I find myself having to use more shoulder to loop heavy underspin. This is not a big problem and only requires a minor adjustment to correct. I LOVE THIS RUBBER!

This super fast rubber! Point.

This fantastic rubber is a must-try to witness its exceptional quality. It is highly recommended for offensive players seeking well-rounded performance in various aspects of the game.

Fantastic rubber, amazing offensive rubber. Has lots of gears for mild to intense attacking game. Never lose control at any pace, spin is excellent for the speed that is put on.

Amazing spin and speed! Excellent!

Great for Penhold backhand rubber. Just good for the lot - smashing, looping, blocking - you name it!

I have this rubber on my forehand and backhand on a Stiga Optimum 7 blade, and it is a weapon in the right hands. The rubber itself is very fast but also accompanied by a lot of control. I would rate this rubber 10/10.

The best STIGA rubber I have tried so far has all the right ingredients to do just about everything. It’s very durable rubber with excellent speed, spin, and control. It has a little less spin than TENERGY 05, but overall I prefer BOOST TX. The sponge feels about 38 degrees.

A very good rubber for spin and speed. It lasts much longer than average as long as you take good care of it. The spin is probably as close as it gets to TENSION 05! Use only if you are a very good table tennis player.

I have used all Boost rubbers, and definitely this is the best there is. My first setup was a Stiga Tube Light, with Boost TC and Boost TP. I used the Boost TP on the BH, and now I have a Nittaku KVS with a Tenergy 05 for FH and Boost TX for BH.

And hell yeah, it’s a great combo. Great looping on the BH and the BH topspins are just miracles! Definitely the best Stiga rubber out there.

Amazing Rubber!

This rubber is an excellent choice for table tennis players. It provides great serves and is suitable for various strokes, including slow and fast loops, chops, drives, and other moves.

Moreover, it offers remarkable speed and exceptional control, making it a perfect option for players of all skill levels.

Review:

Pros:

  • Good control
  • High spin
  • Fast speed (faster than T25)
  • Excellent for topspin and service

Cons:

  • None mentioned

Overall:

A highly recommended rubber for players seeking good control, high spin, and fast speed. It is particularly well-suited for topspin and service play.

My perfect backhand! Excellent touch, beautiful control, and superb sound.

Good speed, good spin, not quite as much as Tenergy but maybe as close as it gets.

I use max sponge, which feels lovely. No Cons. I recommend it to everyone. The sponge isn’t too soft nor is it too hard, allowing for the perfect throw angle for all types of gameplay.

10/10 Gears.

The best Stiga rubber of the new generation is Boost TC. I like the feel of it. Its speed and spin are up there with the best.

#27 — August 2009

I love the very light combination of two Boost TX rubbers (2.0mm) on a Stiga OC WRB blade. I prefer the TX over the TC because I don’t enjoy playing with a very soft sponge. The TX offers great speed and spin, while still providing a good sense of control.

Initially, I had to adjust to the rubber’s speed on my backhand. My first 10 hits flew over the table. However, once I found the right feel, blocking, hitting, and looping became effortless.

#28 — May 2009

This is one of the best rubbers of the new generation that I have played with so far. It has a very nice feeling, great spin, and good speed. You can’t go wrong with this one.
