This rubber is a monster. I’m used to fast rubbers and hard sponges, but this is the most difficult rubber I have used in a while. It is definitely not for beginners. However, in the right hands, it is unstoppable, especially if you pair it with a hard blade (any outer ALC like Viscaria, for example).

You can choose a softer blade to tame it, but it would be a pity because you don’t buy a fast rubber to tame it, right? So this MX-D, like MX-P, is similar to T05 but spinnier than MX-P and with a couple more gears above T05.

The throw angle is higher than I’m used to, but with a little angle adjustment, I am able to drive and smash with confidence. People say it’s not good for BH, but I found it very pleasant in BH too.

You must be able to do really long, powerful strokes with perfect timing to benefit from this rubber. You must engage the sponge at every shot. As a drawback, I found it quite spin sensitive. Other reviewers say it’s not, but I disagree.

Obviously, don’t even think about playing defensively or passively with this rubber. It’s 100% OFF+. I use it only against opponents who rely on looping, because in loop rallies, it’s more powerful than anything else.

If you want to use it against an opponent who has good defensive tactics or is good at flick or other vicious tricks, you better be a champion at reading incoming spin, or you are doomed (I’m not, so I won’t use it against vicious opponents). If you aren’t that confident in your skills, K3 is a much safer, more forgiving, and versatile option.

Played on off- blade, MX-D max on FH, BH Victas V22 max.

I played with V15 extra max on both sides for a long time, and before that, I had MX-S 1.9-2.1mm on FH. To me, MX-D is the successor to V15 extra. It’s built for counter-offensive play, is low spin sensitive, very linear but powerful, and not for spin-oriented players. It’s simply the best rubber I’ve ever used for counter-topspin. It’s very effective on smash, block, and flick. The throw angle is medium high, but topspin against backspin is easy. The mechanical grip is good, and the ball never slips on the rubber. I don’t feel the 50° of hardness; it’s more like 47°, a little more than MX-S. The only weak point for me is that services have less spin and it’s more difficult to keep the ball short (and I don’t play with an off+ carbon blade…). MX-D is the best counter-offensive rubber on the market, an improvement on V15 extra. If you’re looking for an update of the MX-S, you’ll be disappointed (Victas V-22 is what you want).

The most impressive feature of this rubber is its versatility. It excels in both active play for its speed and active brushing for its spin. Additionally, it boasts remarkable durability and consistency.

When employed in loops, it generates a high, long arc, while for active play, it delivers laser-like precision. Blocks are well-controlled, effortless, and resilient to spin.

Serving may require slightly more effort, but is manageable. The short game is exceptional, though backhand loops require proper technique to execute effectively. Overall, it is a commendable rubber with exceptional qualities.

First off, Tibhar’s description about this rubber is spot on. It’s a truly great offensive rubber. I used the maximum sponge glued onto a Viscaria forhand side, and it pairs really well with the Viscaria. This rubber is amazing for all shots. I have found my preferred FH rubber, and this is my ultimate FH weapon. It’s a must-try and truly a top rubber by far.

Excellent backhand rubber, though the spin is lacking. It was advertised as a hybrid of MXS and MXP, but I cannot wholly agree with that assessment. Nevertheless, it stands well on its own as a good rubber.

Counter Topspin machine for mid distance. More power than mx-s. Flat hitting is also very powerful, but sometimes the ball goes long due to the power red sponge.

Blocks are good and fast. The only weak point is service. It is not easy to generate spin with the hard rubber.

Short receive is easier with mx-s because the sponge is less reactive.

I’ve been wanting to change my mxp for a long time because my opponents can block my topspins very easily, and the ball lands very short on the opponents’ table. Mxd feels way softer than the declared hardness, overall it should be around 49.5/49.8º, a bit softer than mxp50. The topsheet is really soft, so you can easily grip the ball when you are out of position, away from the table, or make opening loops without engaging much of the sponge because you don’t hit the ball hard. When you hit the ball hard, you engage the sponge, and the trajectory of the ball is very aggressive, fast, low, and deep on the opponent’s table. They can’t counterloop and make many more unforced errors blocking than when I was using the mxp. Blocking with mxd and forehand flip is way easier due to the hard sponge. With mxp, I must use full force to make a strong topspin, so I made more unforced errors. With mxd, the topspin is very strong even if I use 70% full power, so I can make fewer errors. With mxd, the ball stays in contact with the topsheet for longer than other rubbers, so I think it could be a good rubber for backhand too, maybe in 2.0mm. Many players I know are now using it on backhand with good results. Due to the hardness, I suggest it for good players. For medium-level players, it may be better to use an mxp rubber that makes it easier to engage the sponge.

Really enjoy playing with this rubber. The speed and spin are awesome with easy ball placement.

The rubber doesn’t feel as hard as one might expect. It has a very nice, soft feeling when blocking and counter attacking.

It can be as powerful as you want it to be. It’s a great rubber for playing fast or slow.

If you want to win at this game, this rubber will give you a huge opportunity to do so. NICE RUBBER!!!

Review of Table Tennis Rubber

Initially skeptical, I was impressed upon purchasing an example of this rubber. It is a remarkable product that has been well-received by my clubmates. Two of them intended to order it the following day.

Designed to combine the speed of MX-P and the spin of MX-S, this rubber has served me well for many years. I have played seven official matches with it and remain undefeated.

To achieve the exceptional spin of the MX-S, it is necessary to apply brushing action on serves. I have won numerous points through service with this rubber.

Backhand play is particularly enjoyable, as it combines excellent looping capabilities with effective topspin and sidespin from a distance. The block is also outstanding, preventing the ball from flying off the table as easily as with MX-P.

I highly recommend this rubber.

Really great rubber, with more spin and top-end speed than MX-P at a similar weight (50g cut at 2.1/2.2 thickness). In my opinion, it is a superior rubber and feels closer to Tenergy/Rozena than any Tensor I’ve used in recent years. Pores are finer like MX-S, but speed doesn’t suffer this time.

It’s definitely a forehand rubber. I’m using Rozena on the backhand as MX-D is too hard if you like to vary between soft and hard strokes.

The rubber felt softer than MXP 50. It grips the ball better than MXP and its 50-degree counterpart.

#13 — Long Time Ago...

This rubber pairs wonderfully with my Innerforce ZLC. Despite its firmness, the throw is surprisingly high, exceeding that of MX-P. It combines the firmness and grip of MX-S with the dynamics of MX-P, making it exceptionally versatile for a hard rubber. Spin generation is effortless.

Though it has a relatively soft feel, it possesses explosive power and significant bounce. While it can be challenging to control on the backhand, on the forehand, it’s incredibly forgiving considering the power it offers.

#14 — Long Time Ago...

This rubber is a bomb! It shoots like hell, and it’s powerful. It has a great grip and a medium-low trajectory.

The sponge is compact with medium pores (not large), but the topsheet is thin. Therefore, it hooks the ball and launches it like a slingshot.

However, it is affected by the effects of the opponent, which is typical of thin coats.

#15 — Long Time Ago...

One of the best rubbers I’ve used, it has it all: speed, spin, and control. The grip on the ball is excellent. I’ve been using it on my forehand for months, and the durability is also great.
