This rubber is a monster. I’m used to fast rubbers and hard sponges, but this is the most difficult rubber I have used in a while. It is definitely not for beginners. However, in the right hands, it is unstoppable, especially if you pair it with a hard blade (any outer ALC like Viscaria, for example).

You can choose a softer blade to tame it, but it would be a pity because you don’t buy a fast rubber to tame it, right? So this MX-D, like MX-P, is similar to T05 but spinnier than MX-P and with a couple more gears above T05.

The throw angle is higher than I’m used to, but with a little angle adjustment, I am able to drive and smash with confidence. People say it’s not good for BH, but I found it very pleasant in BH too.

You must be able to do really long, powerful strokes with perfect timing to benefit from this rubber. You must engage the sponge at every shot. As a drawback, I found it quite spin sensitive. Other reviewers say it’s not, but I disagree.

Obviously, don’t even think about playing defensively or passively with this rubber. It’s 100% OFF+. I use it only against opponents who rely on looping, because in loop rallies, it’s more powerful than anything else.

If you want to use it against an opponent who has good defensive tactics or is good at flick or other vicious tricks, you better be a champion at reading incoming spin, or you are doomed (I’m not, so I won’t use it against vicious opponents). If you aren’t that confident in your skills, K3 is a much safer, more forgiving, and versatile option.

Played on off- blade, MX-D max on FH, BH Victas V22 max.

I played with V15 extra max on both sides for a long time, and before that, I had MX-S 1.9-2.1mm on FH. To me, MX-D is the successor to V15 extra. It’s built for counter-offensive play, is low spin sensitive, very linear but powerful, and not for spin-oriented players. It’s simply the best rubber I’ve ever used for counter-topspin. It’s very effective on smash, block, and flick. The throw angle is medium high, but topspin against backspin is easy. The mechanical grip is good, and the ball never slips on the rubber. I don’t feel the 50° of hardness; it’s more like 47°, a little more than MX-S. The only weak point for me is that services have less spin and it’s more difficult to keep the ball short (and I don’t play with an off+ carbon blade…). MX-D is the best counter-offensive rubber on the market, an improvement on V15 extra. If you’re looking for an update of the MX-S, you’ll be disappointed (Victas V-22 is what you want).

The most impressive feature of this rubber is its versatility. It excels in both active play for its speed and active brushing for its spin. Additionally, it boasts remarkable durability and consistency.

When employed in loops, it generates a high, long arc, while for active play, it delivers laser-like precision. Blocks are well-controlled, effortless, and resilient to spin.

Serving may require slightly more effort, but is manageable. The short game is exceptional, though backhand loops require proper technique to execute effectively. Overall, it is a commendable rubber with exceptional qualities.

First off, Tibhar’s description about this rubber is spot on. It’s a truly great offensive rubber. I used the maximum sponge glued onto a Viscaria forhand side, and it pairs really well with the Viscaria. This rubber is amazing for all shots. I have found my preferred FH rubber, and this is my ultimate FH weapon. It’s a must-try and truly a top rubber by far.

Excellent backhand rubber, though the spin is lacking. It was advertised as a hybrid of MXS and MXP, but I cannot wholly agree with that assessment. Nevertheless, it stands well on its own as a good rubber.

Counter Topspin machine for mid distance. More power than MX-S. Flat hitting is also very powerful, but sometimes the ball goes long due to the power red sponge.

Blocks are good and fast. The only weak point is service. It is not easy to generate spin with the hard rubber.

Short receive is easier with MX-S because the sponge is less reactive.

I’ve been wanting to change my mxp for a long time because my opponents can block my topspins very easily, and the ball lands very short on the opponents’ table. mxd feels way softer than the declared hardness, overall it should be around 49.5/49.8º, a bit softer than mxp50. The topsheet is really soft, so you can easily grip the ball when you are out of position, away from the table, or make opening loops without engaging much of the sponge because you don’t hit the ball hard. When you hit the ball hard, you engage the sponge, and the trajectory of the ball is very aggressive, fast, low, and deep on the opponent’s table. They can’t counterloop and make many more unforced errors blocking than when I was using the mxp. Blocking with mxd and forehand flip is way easier due to the hard sponge. With mxp, I must use full force to make a strong topspin, so I made more unforced errors. With mxd, the topspin is very strong even if I use 70% full power, so I can make fewer errors. With mxd, the ball stays in contact with the topsheet for longer than other rubbers, so I think it could be a good rubber for backhand too, maybe in 2.0mm. Many players I know are now using it on backhand with good results. Due to the hardness, I suggest it for good players. For medium-level players, it may be better to use an mxp rubber that makes it easier to engage the sponge.

Really enjoy playing with this rubber. The speed and spin are awesome with easy ball placement.

The rubber doesn’t feel as hard as one might expect. It has a very nice, soft feeling when blocking and counter attacking.

It can be as powerful as you want it to be. It’s a great rubber for playing fast or slow.

If you want to win at this game, this rubber will give you a huge opportunity to do so. NICE RUBBER!!!

The Evolution series of rubbers has a great new addition. It has awesome speed, spin, and control. Blocking is superb. This is a great rubber.

Review of Table Tennis Rubber

Initially skeptical, I was impressed upon purchasing an example of this rubber. It is a remarkable product that has been well-received by my clubmates. Two of them intended to order it the following day.

Designed to combine the speed of MX-P and the spin of MX-S, this rubber has served me well for many years. I have played seven official matches with it and remain undefeated.

To achieve the exceptional spin of the MX-S, it is necessary to apply brushing action on serves. I have won numerous points through service with this rubber.

Backhand play is particularly enjoyable, as it combines excellent looping capabilities with effective topspin and sidespin from a distance. The block is also outstanding, preventing the ball from flying off the table as easily as with MX-P.

I highly recommend this rubber.

#11May 2021

Really great rubber, with more spin and top-end speed than MX-P at a similar weight (50g cut at 2.1/2.2 thickness). In my opinion, it is a superior rubber and feels closer to Tenergy/Rozena than any Tensor I’ve used in recent years. Pores are finer like MX-S, but speed doesn’t suffer this time.

It’s definitely a forehand rubber. I’m using Rozena on the backhand as MX-D is too hard if you like to vary between soft and hard strokes.

#12April 2021

The rubber felt softer than MXP 50. It grips the ball better than MXP and its 50-degree counterpart.

#13Long Time Ago...

This rubber pairs wonderfully with my Innerforce ZLC. Despite its firmness, the throw is surprisingly high, exceeding that of MX-P. It combines the firmness and grip of MX-S with the dynamics of MX-P, making it exceptionally versatile for a hard rubber. Spin generation is effortless.

Though it has a relatively soft feel, it possesses explosive power and significant bounce. While it can be challenging to control on the backhand, on the forehand, it’s incredibly forgiving considering the power it offers.

#14Long Time Ago...

This rubber is a bomb! It shoots like hell, and it’s powerful. It has a great grip and a medium-low trajectory.

The sponge is compact with medium pores (not large), but the topsheet is thin. Therefore, it hooks the ball and launches it like a slingshot.

However, it is affected by the effects of the opponent, which is typical of thin coats.

#15Long Time Ago...

One of the best rubbers I’ve used, it has it all: speed, spin, and control. The grip on the ball is excellent. I’ve been using it on my forehand for months, and the durability is also great.

#16June 2025

I put this rubber on a xuxin Dynasty Carbon, and let me tell you what. It was not meant for it. The catapult is great, but dwell time was non-existent. The contact time of the ball is shortened by a lot due to the hard surface of the blade. But if you put this rubber on a 5-ply, let’s say a tenor, it was amazing. The soft surface of the tenor was a perfect match for this rubber. The balance of grip and catapult was nearly perfect. The one downside to this rubber was the life cycle. It was short. But that’s typical in today’s modern rubbers.

#17March 2025

It is very sensitive to spin. You need to be someone who trains every day to play well with this rubber.

#18December 2024

A little bit slower than MXP but spinnier than MXP. Feels good for my backhand.

#19December 2024

Atbilst cenai, piegāde ir ātra.

#20November 2024

For an experienced player, it’s great because it has lots of power and sponge. It does not forgive much with technique flaws. Donic BlueStar A1 has similar power but is more forgiving.

#21November 2024

I upgraded to the MX-D from my MX-P. I think it’s faster without giving up too much control, which is exactly what I wanted and expected based on the description.

#22August 2024

I like the rubber.

#23August 2024

It’s a good rubber for beginners.

#24July 2024

Good rubber.

#25July 2024

A quality rubber that can be used on both forehand and backhand.

#26April 2024

I bought this rubber on sale because a couple of my friends play with it and are very happy with it. They told me I should try it out. I paired it with a Jp.Pen, and it’s crazy how well it works for me.

#27April 2024

It has a similar feeling to MX-P50. Quick, spinny, and good for blocking.

#28April 2024

Very good ball feel, fast and really spinny, pretty linear power output. Excellent in the short game for its speed and spin capabilities. Used it on an inner ZLC blade. An excellent choice on both FH and BH.

#29January 2024

This rubber is very good.

#30November 2023

Очень хорошее качество!

#31July 2023

The rubber has a lot of control and is good for my style of game.

#32July 2023

Очень доволен. Лучшее, чем играл раньше.

#33June 2023

Very good company that I can trust.

#34June 2023

I played with MX-P, and it’s a different type of rubber.
It’s harder, has more spin, but less power.
Very easy to block, play short, and less sensitive to spin.
But not good for smashing or in the straight game.
I recommend it to a spin-oriented player.

#35April 2023

N/A

#36March 2023

Speed and spin are amazing, giving added power to my offensive natural game, but with more control than I expected. Excellent for topspin shots at any distance and backspin is improving. The biggest surprise is the control in a passive game - maybe due to new rubbers with more grip but still a welcome improvement in my game. Used on the forehand, with Evolution EL-D on the backhand, and with a Samsonov Force Pro blade.

#37February 2023

Not as speedy as MX-P but all balanced.

#38December 2022

Mostly satisfied with my change from Stiga rubber to Tibhar. It’s certainly not because of the rubber that I still lose matches.

#39December 2022

Good speed, moderate spin, smashing is great. However, the tensor sponge shrinks quickly after regluing.

#40October 2022

A bit slower than MX-P but much spinnier than MX-P. Very good for forehand.

#41October 2022

The rubber fits well for my forehand. Not the most spin, but great control for every ball.

#42September 2022

Good effects and speed.

#43July 2022

This rubber is heavier than T05, so make sure you can play with a heavier rubber. Tackier top sheet gives great spin and the sponge has great power. If you do not want to spend the money for T05 or Dignics, this gives the most bang for the buck.

#44July 2022

The blade is Samsonov Limited.
Used on the forehand. Good control. Maybe a little bit less spin than what I had before (EL-S). Overall, I like the rubber.

#45July 2022

Having used Tenergy 05 for many years, I was looking for a replacement when the price outweighed the quality. The whole Evolution range is really good, but MX-D is the closest to 05 I have found. Excellent spin and with less catapult effect than MX-P, but has more power due to a harder sponge.

#46May 2022

It’s a little bit faster than I thought but a great rubber with great assembly!

#47April 2022

Wonderful rubber. Great spin and speed combination. Low arc and good dwell and grip. Also very durable, even better than the MXP. Dynamite if you are within 3-6 feet of the table. Good control on blocks. Advanced all-around club players with strong loops will love it. A cheap Tenergy while being easy on the pocketbook.

#48January 2022

For me, it’s my new forehand rubber. Good spin, speed, and control. I like the feeling too. Good service from TT11.

#49January 2022

Excellent all-around attacking rubber. It’s spinny, fast enough, and it does not spring off unexpectedly, allowing for great touch on short pushes.

#50December 2021

MXP and MXS are better than this rubber. This rubber is too heavy; you must have a very light blade when you buy this. I’m not satisfied with its performance.

#51November 2021

It felt like home.

#52November 2021

This rubber belongs to the Evalsion series, taking a worthy place in the large and popular MX line.

#53November 2021

Very good offensive rubber, but you have to have the skill to handle this one.

#54October 2021

Bueno para el golpe de Drive.

#55October 2021

Playing with it on TB ALC, forehand side after using MX-P for several years.

Faster and more dangerous than MX-P on high speed, better control on slow strokes. Probably not that good for me on average speed, the ball might slip when I expect a sponge to help if my stroke is not strong enough. So, either you play with weak strokes, engaging the top sheet, or you play with a strong one making sure to engage the sponge. I had to adjust my strokes for it, took me around 4 training sessions to adjust to it after MX-P. The trajectory is lower and usually longer than with MX-P, had to slow down on underspin opening loops and open my racket a little bit more, but that is compensated by better speed on counter-attacks and subsequent loops. Blocking is probably better due to lower trajectory and harder, more predictable feel. Short pushes seem to be more controllable too, but I think I still have less spin on them than with MX-P. Better on long distances, and somehow I have more confidence close to the table too.

The second drawback (besides opening loops after underspin for me) is weight, quite heavy, like 2-3 g more than MX-P, heavier than I would like. Great rubber anyway and my results are slightly better with it than with MX-P.

#56October 2021

Not used it yet.

#57October 2021

Spinny and fast.

#58September 2021

Excellent rubbers for all players.

#59September 2021

Best of both worlds! High in spin production and yet not lacking in the speed department. Very linear, powerful shots and blocks are not a problem. Spins from service are very high due to the very tacky/biting top sheet. Works well from both light brush to heavy shots. Better durability than MXP or MXP 50.

#60September 2021

I glued Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition rubbers on both sides in max thickness. The speed, control, and spin in this combination are better than with G-1, DHS Goldarc 8 47.5, and even T-05. I want to try it on a carbon base, but I can’t bring myself to remove such a successful rubber. I will be ordering another pair. A strong competitor for Tenergy.

#61August 2021

This rubber can be said to be useless, there is no good tensor effect in it, no good spin, and on top of that it is stiff and dead. There is no power felt from this rubber.

#62August 2021

The new Tibhar MX-D, for me at the moment, is the best non-tacky forehand rubber for a modern European-style offensive game. Compared to the MX-P, the MX-D is a tad harder and the topsheet has better durability and grip for the topspin game. The newly developed sponge has a softer feel than the 50-52° sponge might suggest. It plays with great speed and spin while still maintaining better control and predictability compared to the MX-P. Durability also seems to be improved compared to the previous-gen Evolution rubbers. Highly recommended to all players who have been playing with medium+ or hard non-tacky rubbers so far (especially for the forehand side). The MX-D will boost your game to the next level!

#63July 2021

As a coach, I recommend Tibhar MX-D for good speed, spins, and very good control. I did feel better playing with this rubber.

#64June 2021

Tried alongside MXP. Very similar but slightly harder, and a crisper feel. Play on my backhand with MXP, which is slightly softer on my forehand. Both very consistent performers for the attack-minded player.
Long-lasting rubbers by the looks. No wear after quite a few hours on the table.

#65June 2021

This MX-D was assembled on the FH of the Xiom ICE CREAM AZX blade to replace the MX-P. It has the combination of good speed and spin, like the MX-P and MX-S respectively.

#66June 2021

Having used Evolution rubbers for a few years now, I was excited to try the new MX-D version. WOW, what a find. I usually use FX-S max but found it slightly slow compared to other rubbers. MX-D is faster, extremely spinny, but great control. It doesn’t play like a hard sponge rubber, feels more like a soft sponge but gives fantastic spin and speed with great control. Touch play is no problem and goes through the gears effortlessly when power is needed.
Highly recommended.

#67June 2021

For me, it’s my new forehand rubber.
With the MX-D, I have More Control than the MX-P.
I feel like I can do everything with higher quality.
With the MX-P, it is easier to generate speed.

Great service from TT11.

#68June 2021

Friends, I tested Tibhar Evolution MX-D and Butterfly Dignics 05 on FH. In my opinion, Tibhar is much more controlled and has better spin due to the top sheet. The catapult is slightly less than Butterfly’s but there is very little difference. Increased control and spin when losing 10% speed compared to Butterfly gives excellent results on carbon blades like ALC and those similar in characteristics. Tibhar really does its job. Excellent work TT11.

#69June 2021

A mix of MX-S and MX-P. Tibhar got this right. Hard sponge but plays like medium hard. Great spin and finishing power. Good for the forehand.
