I use it on BH (with V>15 on FH) and it’s a very good match. It has great control and blocking abilities. I also appreciate its light weight.
It’s also a perfect rubber for beginners, very easy to play with: linear, and forgiving. Since it’s inexpensive, I recommend it to all my beginner friends and they are always satisfied.
Perfect rubber for backhand, offers very good control and speed with good spin. It works very well with stiff blades. Really recommended and must try.
Sure, this is the best rubber I have ever tried. It has very good spin, a white medium-hard sponge. I tried the black 2.0 on the backhand with a Donic Appelgren Exclusive (a poor blade), and I think it is similar to Barracuda, but faster.
This is the second piece of Victas 01 I have used. I am very happy with the overall performance. The balance is excellent. However, the durability is average.
I used it on a Bty. Taksim, ALC blade. I found that 01 plays definitely better than 01 Limber.
Victas rubbers are often on sale as promotions for a new brand. I recommend buying one to try them out. I believe you will like them.
Worst Durability I’ve encountered in over 25+ years of playing. DO NOT BUY!!!
After less than 4 weeks, it deteriorated so much that it became necessary to clean it after and sometimes in the middle of the games because even the tiniest amount of dirt made it unplayable! After 7-8 weeks, it lost almost all of its grip and became totally UNUSABLE!
For comparison purposes, I’ve recently used a sheet of Yasaka Rakza 9 for over 15 MONTHS (not weeks!), Rakza X for around 12 months, and Xiom Omega 5 Asia for around 10 months. I’m not some “tt rubber destroyer,” and I don’t even play a lot of hours.
I don’t see myself EVER purchasing anything made by “Victas” again.
I played Tenergry 05 my whole life. I tried a lot of rubbers:
V01-stiff (too stiff the rubber surface, not good with plastic ball)
Then I found Victas V01:
The rubber is the best I’ve ever used! It’s simply awesome!
This rubber is perfect for my attacking style. It gives me great spin and power, and it’s very durable. I’ve been using it for over a year now and it still performs like new.
I would highly recommend this rubber to any player who is looking for a high-quality, durable rubber. It’s the best rubber I’ve ever used and I’m sure you’ll love it too.
Pros:
Cons:
The rubber appeared to be very hard at the start of play. I had difficulty making FH topspins because I needed very much effort to lift a backspin chop. Blocking was hard too though I have a good feeling at it. The ball would go long.
Later on, I accommodated, maybe the sponge softened too. Now I really like this rubber. I use a Red max sponge version on my FH.
I feel pretty comfortable and confident now at the 3rd ball attack and at long rallies too. I’ve been using it for 7 months now and it hasn’t worn out almost at all, but I play quite rarely.
Best rubber I’ve ever tried <3
Blocking, spinning, and smashing are all so much easier with this rubber than my last forehand rubber. It sometimes feels like a miracle how easily I can block or spin the ball back!
This rubber exhibited poor durability despite limited use, a common characteristic of German-made rubbers. After a few months, it developed a fully plastic sensation.
Despite these shortcomings, the rubber possesses unique qualities. The sponge compresses significantly upon contact and then rapidly rebounds, creating a trampoline-like effect with an elongated trajectory. This attribute provides an exceptional feel, deviating from its advertised 47.5 hardness towards a softer 45 hardness.
The rubber is remarkably user-friendly and relatively insensitive to spin. Open-ups are easily executed, and all strokes can be performed effectively. It shares similarities with T64, enabling effective counters from mid-distance and powerful off-the-bounce shots, particularly when new.
The primary drawback is its grip. High-level players may notice a noticeable reduction in spin on serves, short games, and handling of half-long balls. Despite this, the rubber offers superior grip and durability compared to the Etika.
Overall, the rubber resembles T64 in terms of characteristics, offering less grip but a distinctive sponge feel. Its performance is linear and user-friendly, with an arc that falls between T64 and Etika. As is typical of ESN rubbers, durability is lacking.
While the rubber excels in generating effortless loop kills, it does not produce significant spin. As a result, players may experience a trade-off, sacrificing shot quality for increased ball control. An alternative option, T64, is available at a higher cost. However, considering the affordability of the V>01, it may be more cost-effective to replace it regularly, based on individual preference.
