Composite/carbon
The blade broke when I smashed my knee on it.
This was my first professional-level blade. I still own it after six years of playing with it (and others). I have used Nittaku Flyatt Hard 2.0, DHS Skyline T2 NEO, and currently have Nittaku Fastarc G1 on it. Avoid using DHS. Even though this was my first blade, it is likely my second favorite out of the 18 I have purchased. This blade is suitable for various playing levels, making it a great purchase for someone beginning table tennis with the intention of continuing for many years.
Beginner/Intermediate Player
Setup: Flyatt Caron Blade + Tibhar Nimbus Soft 1.8mm FH, 2.0mm BH.
This blade was a revelation from the moment I attached my rubbers to it. The control and feel it provides are exceptional. It is a noticeably fast and lightweight blade, thanks to its carbon layers (I would rate it 8.5 for speed). However, it still offers ample control and feel (9.3 rating), giving me the confidence to execute my offensive shots more effectively.
While it’s not a soft blade, when paired with soft rubbers, my loops and topspin drives exhibit excellent control and a satisfying increase in speed. It produces slightly less spin than the Andro Hexer rubbers I used on my previous setup. I plan to experiment with faster rubbers in the future.
Overall, this blade is an absolute keeper and an investment you won’t regret.
