All-wood
The Hinoki Catapult is controlled at low speeds due to the carbon layers (2 on each side), but at higher impacts, the catapult from the thicker hinoki core really kicks in. This results in a very controlled blade for the speed it provides, which is even faster than ALC blades like Viscaria. The catapult sets in more dynamically compared to Viscaria (which is more linear) so this blade unlocks more gears.
The blade creates a low arc on the balls unlike all wood hinoki only blades due to the carbon layer and thus very dangerous balls but the trajectory is long so caution is needed when finishing a ball, otherwise it will go long.
The ball contact point is crisp due to the carbon, yet still provides good dwell time from the hinoki. Due to the moderate flex of the blade, it will have a lot of power from half distance where it can create dangerous low trajectory spinny topspins while having a very nice and controlled touch in the short game (albeit a somewhat muted feeling during serves, serve return feels good though).
Faster than Primoarc Carbon, the Arc is a bit low. Shots are very direct, making it easy to make mistakes. Not recommended for beginners. Overall, it’s a very good blade with insane handle quality and a very smooth feel.
Fast blade with outstanding control.
It is also suitable to pair with pips-out rubber.
This blade is unlike any other, even among its hinoki brethren.
It’s a steed that requires mastery and time to truly feel and understand the game.
I love and own many hinoki blades, but this one has a double carbon layer, demanding a high level of skill.
It produces a low trajectory and requires rubbers with a hardness of 47-52 degrees. If you can handle that, you’ll be a true professional.
Now I have something to strive for.
The product description claims this is Nittaku’s fastest racket base. While that may be true, in my opinion, it’s fast but not super fast.
Personally, I really like this racket base; it’s one of the best feeling bases I’ve purchased recently!
The quality is top-notch. It costs quite a bit, but it’s worth it.
If you want a racket with good feel and sufficient speed, I recommend buying it.
My preferred setup is Nittaku Hammond Z2 Special Max on both the forehand and backhand sides – the best for me!
One of my favorite blades is the one with Hinoki wood. The special feeling and smell are amazing!
It’s an excellent Hino blade from Nittaku. I played with this blade for only a week due to a serious family accident.
The blade provides a great forehand topspin experience, and its light weight allowed me more efficient timing for shots. It’s an excellent blade developed by Nittaku.
I am truly thankful to the tabletennis11 team for providing this blade on their portal. Thank you, tabletennis11 team, from the bottom of my heart ❤️.
Цена/качество - Отлично.
Due to the carbon plies, the catapult effect of the hinoki wood unfolds in a more linear fashion. This gives the blade more precision, but less feel and dwell time compared to a full hinoki blade. As a result, the blade has a lot of gears despite its high basic speed. I use it with Hurricane 3 Neo Blue Sponge on my forehand and Donic Bluegrip S1 on my backhand.
It is very powerful from half distance, performing better than blades like Viscaria. Yet, the touch game remains precise. Counters close to the table generally land close to the edge. The arc is low (opposite of full hinoki blades) and deadly, which is exactly what I’m looking for.
It has a hard feeling, yet produces a lot of spin while topspinning. It also has a lot of power on flat hits. I wouldn’t recommend it for close to table play, even if it handles the passive strokes very well. Its strength lies in half distance, where it produces high quality killer shots every time.
I tried a super soft rubber, and it works well. The craftsmanship is flawless.
There is feel, speed, and control.
Fast but controlled.
I came across this absolutely gorgeous looking, yet simple blade. It was supposed to be a blazingly fast weapon with 4 layers of carbon (2 for each side).
But it’s the hinoki-base characteristics that stand out for this blade. It’s not as fast as I expected, but it’s surprisingly more controllable than I imagined.
After I shelved my initial expectations, I worked on its strengths: long dwell time, higher than average control. Paired with Nittaku Fastarc G1 (FH) and Moristo SP (BH), both max thickness, the result is an amazing looping machine with a high arc and accurate shots.
The backhand side with the short pips is still a work in progress, but the forehand game is divine with great feeling and high feedback.
These are very good quality blades from Nittaku.
They offer fast speed and very good control. That is why I bought two after trying them.
Thanks to Tabletennis11 for providing good service.
Taxtaga ideal. U hatto eng zo’r Butterfly taxtalari bilan ham raqobatlasha oladi.
I recently purchased the Nittaku Hino 5.22 racket base, and today I completed my first 3-hour training session with it. It’s a real weapon in table tennis!
Having read previous reviews, I took a risk buying this base. The manufacturer warns that it’s not intended for intermediate players, suggesting it’s the fastest of the Nittaku rackets.
While this racket does indeed have speed, there are even faster bases available.
However, the Nittaku Hino 5.22 has quickly become my favorite table tennis racket base. It offers sufficient speed coupled with good control and maneuverability. I particularly appreciate the control and maneuverability; you can direct the ball precisely where you want and effectively block your opponent’s topspin. It’s truly a real weapon.
I’m currently using Xiom Omega VII Pro (max) on my forehand and Xiom Jekyll&HYDE C55 (max) on my backhand. Both rubbers perform well.
