Dammit, another blade that I’m feeling so comfortable with for my style (offensive, spin-oriented, blocking, smashing). Paired with Fastarc G-1, I’ve had fun in training because everything works in a great manner. I have five different blades now, and I still can’t decide which one is my favorite. The season starts now, and any match play should lead me to a final decision. I’m really curious about that.

Madero rápido. Parecido a Primorac Carbón, pero con un poco más de control debido a que es un off que ronda el off+, velocidad 8.8 a 9.0. Se siente como una madera de carbono medianamente blanda. Y sonido a carbono. También leve parecido a Joola MC1. Mango cómodo. Peso 88 gramos aprox. La madera se siente sólida.

I am not a super strong player, However, I really like this blade. It really matches the description. Fast with a lot of control. Contact is solid and direct because it is 7 plies with the outer ply koto. No catapult effect (in comparison, Xiom Diva, which is also good, has more flex and catapult effect). So very stable and predictable. Very good to land all sorts of loops on the table, especially short loops that may catch the opponent unwary. Block is dense, and the short game is ok. The blade has awesome control (and I own many other ones including Viscaria). This blade enables you to understand what you are doing. The koto outer veneer is superb. Great value for money.

This is my most recent favorite all-wood blade. It mostly has the structure of the classical 7-ply all-wood blade, but with a few twists. The most notable changes are that, for the outer ply, the medium/medium-soft Limba is not used, but the semi-hard Koto, and its thickness is almost the same as the second ply. This means a noticeable speed and some stiffness boost for this blade compared to the TSP SWAT, and some reduction in vibration.

The blade still has good feedback to remain soulful, and the flex becomes noticeable only on more powerful shots, making this a dream blade for power loopers. The blade plays very linear and precise, but with a slightly more direct arc due to a slight reduction of dwell time compared to its thin Limba-top siblings. I recommend using this blade with semi-hard/hard sponged rubbers with a slightly reduced initial catapult/bounce to match the blade’s qualities in the best way.

On less powerful shots, the blade does not flex significantly due to its rather large thickness (~6.4 mm), which also helps precise blocking. To mention details about craftsmanship, I think the overall look and feel is top-notch: ply choices are flawless (the azure-colored handle is also the best possible combination with these), sanding around the edges are evenly smooth - and I love how this Xiom all-wood blade is balanced (with these rather heavy rubbers, it is still only somewhat head-heavy). The flared handle also has sufficient dimensions and smoothness to be comfortable and firmly gripped, when necessary.

Been using it for 2 years now. It provides a very great feeling. Good speed. Very good control. Excellent for Short Pips!! I am using SP on my BH, and it gives me amazing control & speed. I used to play with the ALC blade, but it lacked control on my BH sp. I will continue to use this blade for a long time!! Plus, this blade is factory sealed, so there are no splinters at all. Sorry for my bad English. Thanks.

Firstly, this blade looks amazing and feels amazing to hold. It offers extremely well-controlled gameplay and excels at looping. It pairs well with slightly harder rubbers, enhancing its performance. However, it is important to note that the blade can easily chip off wood if it hits the table, requiring careful handling. The handle is quite comfortable, providing a secure and comfortable grip. Overall, I am very satisfied with this blade’s performance and highly recommend it for players seeking control and looping capabilities.

92g — Great feeling/touch and fast enough — Great Quality — FL Handle too small for big Hands.

Performs exactly as detailed in the product description. Using DHS Nittaku H2 Pro on both FH & BH, I previously used the same rubbers on a carbon blade and found that I had to exert too much effort to get the ball on the table for the backhand. The result was either balls going long or into the net. With the same setup on the Solo blade, I could focus solely on placement. Blocks are exceptional, as is the short game. The forehand offers excellent feel and control with ample spin. Solo is best suited for close to mid-table play.

Some may find it lacking in power if your forehand is primarily arm-driven. You need good technique with proper use of legs to generate sufficient power, or else you will find that this blade has ample control but lacks power, especially if you use a Chinese hard rubber.

Overall, it is a versatile blade and a good all-rounder if you have the proper stroke to compensate for the slight lack in speed. It would be preferable if the edges of the wings were rounded.

Completely agree with the manufacturer’s description. Weight 90 grams, medium softness, light feel. Combined with Xiom Omega 4 Elite, I am very satisfied with the result. Spiny, light feel, quite fast if you make an effort. Slow game with backspin is also controllable. Very nice fit in hand and good finish quality. Great topspins, blocks.

This blade has a soft surface that provides excellent control. I thoroughly enjoy the feel of this blade in my hand. However, the handle is slightly large for my Asian-sized hands.

#11 — February 2012

Blade with very good control and nice speed. Topspins very load and precise, better with medium rubbers with parabola (Genius, Barracuda, Vega pro, etc.). Wonderful if used with short pips.

The blade has a soft feel, direct nature, and versatility. There is absolutely no vibration. The blade has a mid-low throw, but it flexes a little bit when looping. It is good for blocking and pushing, but smashing is not its strong suit.
