The rubber does not match its price point. While it offers fast gameplay, the spin is significantly lower compared to Xiom VE or Tibhar FX-P. As a result, it is more suitable for blocking and flat attacking techniques than for generating spin.

Rubber with unique characteristics is uncommon: soft foam but fast and firm but with a medium low shot, good to crush and hit hard, used to the maximum in Yasaka on the start impulse. However, I think it is too fast.

The next Once in 2.0, even if it does not produce a lot of spin and is very delicate, will compensate for the control and the excellent feeling. It will be my permanent rubber for forehand (fh).

After 5 months of use, I have improved the rating of this rubber. I now think that it is very good for fh. It does not generate much spin in services but has great control in fast serves and blocking. The topspin is relentless if you hit hard, generating a lot of spin. It compensates for its weaknesses with these special characteristics.

Subjective Opinion:

Worst rubber I have ever used.

Objective Assessment:

1.8mm thickness on both the forehand and backhand.

Durability:

Lasted approximately 2 months. The topsheet and sponge deteriorated significantly after this period.

Control:

Spin and control were adequate but unremarkable.

Speed:

Lacking in the 1.8mm thickness.

Spin Sensitivity:

Highly responsive to incoming spin.

Blocking:

Difficult due to the rubber’s characteristics.

Sponge Properties:

Extremely soft sponge, the softest the reviewer has encountered.

The rubber possesses high speed that allows for quick acceleration, while the softer sponge facilitates easier blocking and control of the ball. I would compare this rubber to Donic Baracuda Big Slam, as they have similar speed and spin capabilities. However, it is crucial to maintain proper technique when using high-caliber catapult rubber.

My favorite soft rubber! What I like the most is that they almost sound exactly like rubbers during the speed glue era. They are very soft, which gives the ball a nice catapult effect with good control and feel. They are pretty fast, which makes it easy to change between backhand and forehand quickly. A spiny and good rubber on most areas.

The rubber is too bouncy.

#7 — November 2014

Well done by Stiga. This is a great backhand rubber, with much of a Haifu feel to it. If you used Donic Traction Soft, this will feel more or less the same, hence the comparison with Haifu.

Everything else has been said here about it.

I recommend this rubber for the backhand side for most players, except absolute beginners.

Enjoy and have fun! :)

This rubber is good for mid-distance attacks, loops, topspins, blocks, and serves. It could be too soft for smashing. However, if the stroke is timed early, it can be effective. I would recommend this rubber for club/advanced players to reach its full potential and choose no less than 2mm sponge thickness. Overall, I think the Calibra LT is better, but this is still good rubber.

The long trajectory is amazing. Speed, spin, and control are balanced. The hitting sound it creates makes you feel more aggressive in a way. Used this on my backhand, max thickness.

#10 — August 2014

I’ve been using this rubber in max thickness on an all+ blade for about six months. The throw is low, the top sheet is grippy but not overly so, and the sponge is quite soft. Out of the package, it’s very crisp, loud, and fairly fast, considering the soft sponge. This lasts for about two weeks, and for the next four weeks, it maintains those qualities but to a lesser extent. That’s about all I get out of a sheet, maybe five to six weeks.

This is a good rubber that I would rate more highly if it were better at looping underspin. Against underspin, it’s not very predictable. Some balls land on the table, while others feel like they “catch” on the top sheet and fly long. So for backhand, it’s okay, but it’s not suitable for forehand, at least for me.

#11 — May 2014

This rubber is not for hard-hitters, but it is exceptional for players who rely on spin and feeling to control the ball on the table.

Despite its outstanding control, spin, and speed, it is surprisingly loud. The control is unmatched, the spin is impressive, and the speed is adequate for an all-around offensive game.

Overall, this rubber is highly recommended for developing players or those who prioritize control, spin, and a soft sponge.

#12 — December 2013

Very soft, yet fast rubber.

Lots of spin, with the ball sinking into the sponge and having good dwell time.

Unfortunately, durability is a problem with rubbers this soft.

#13 — October 2013

The rubber is very good. The speed is great; however, it has a significant delay due to the soft sponge. The spin is good. The control is great once you get used to the delay and bounce. The weight is super light. Overall, it is a great buy.

#14 — September 2013

Great FH rubber for those who prefer a lower throw angle.

Good spin/speed ratio with average control and a soft touch.

Light and fast. Great for fast loops, counterloops, and smashes. Blocks fantastically.

Plays well at mid and far distances too.

#15 — July 2013

I used this on my friend’s paddle, so I can’t give that accurate information, but I think this rubber is incredible!

#16 — March 2013

Just discovered this one! Believe it or not, this is THE one! It’s a very versatile rubber, and an excellent FH rubber.

#17 — March 2013

Great feeling rubber. It can block any spin, any speed, from almost any impact, taking all the pop out of any opponent’s attack. It gives a great gripping feeling when attacking, both on drives and loops.

Although it could be more spinny, this is not a significant drawback. It makes less sound than Calibra LT but does return a very woody-sound on the toughest attacks. This is probably because of my wood blade, but it’s still worth noting.

Also, it is quite deceptive on attacks; the ball jumps off this rubber and surprises opponents. The throw angle is pretty high, which takes some getting used to, but isn’t a drawback. I highly recommend it.

This rubber delivers an exceptional experience. It boasts remarkable speed while maintaining excellent control. Its lightweight construction helps keep the bat agile and maneuverable, a quality that many enthusiasts appreciate.

When executed with precision, this rubber produces a satisfyingly loud sound. The reviewer uses it on the forehand side of their Bty Zhang Jike blade in its maximum thickness and black color. They describe it as a truly remarkable rubber, highlighting its incredible speed for looping and its superb control.

In terms of value, the reviewer believes it offers exceptional bang for the buck. As their Tenergy 05 approaches its end, they intend to experiment with Calibra LT. The reviewer strongly recommends this rubber to other table tennis players.

#19 — November 2012

Fast rubber with great control. The sound when hitting a topspin is simply (fun) … At first, I thought it was even faster, so I used it on my forehand, but levels of rotation and speed of the ball were not enough to throw off my opponents. Now I use it on my backhand and experience significantly improved control. In a backhand smash, the speed is adequate, although the sound is not the same as on forehand.

#20 — November 2012

The sponge is so brittle that you will only be able to glue it once. Afterward, if you want to remove it, you are almost certain to ruin the sponge and make it useless.

The only quality of this rubber is that it is light. It is not fast, nor is it powerful. Okay, it is noisy, but that is all it has going for it.

#21 — March 2012

Fast, high-spin rubber with good control. It seems to suffer from edge crumble (specifically the black sheet). I used it on an offensive+ blade with better results on the forehand side. Previously, I had Calibra on both sides of the bat but found it to be too fast. After removing the Calibra LT sheet, I believe that the Calibra rubbers are very impressive, but you need the necessary hand skills or a slower blade to use them to their maximum potential. Additionally, the rubber is very capable in short play.

#22 — March 2012

It’s one of the best rubbers I have ever used. I used Calibra Sound on my BH, and I am awesome on blocks with it. I highly recommend it.

#23 — January 2012

The best rubber on the market is followed by T05 and Palio Thors or Tibhar Sinus. It is a brilliant rubber, and this is evident from the second you open the wrapper.

#24 — November 2011

I love the dull, deafening sound it produces. Calibra LT sound never fails you and boosts your confidence and versatility to a higher level.

Simply put your passion for the game into action, and it does the rest. It’s an overall rubber made for high-aiming performers.

#25 — November 2011

The cheaper and lighter version of Tenergy is a bargain.

#26 — August 2011

Absolutely awesome rubber! It provides awesome spin, speed, and great control, making it much easier to use than Stiga Boost, in my opinion.

#27 — June 2011

Det här gummit är helt klart det bästa jag kört med på länge. Det har mycket skruv och är snabbt.

#28 — April 2011

This table tennis rubber offers the best spin you’ve ever experienced, giving you unparalleled control over the ball’s trajectory. It also provides an exceptional feeling, allowing you to sense every subtle nuance of the ball’s movement. And to top it all off, it produces the most satisfying sound, making every shot a delight to hear. With its combination of unmatched spin, feel, and sound, this rubber truly stands out as the best ever.

#29 — April 2011

I’ve played Calibra LT sound on almost any kind of blade: fast-stiff, fast-flex, slow-stiff, slow-flex. It’s a very good backhand rubber if you drive and block mainly, as the throw is very low and the spin is null. I really do not understand how people can state LT sound is a spinny rubber!

On the other hand, it is surely the fastest rubber on the market.

#30 — March 2011

This rubber is incredible. I used to play with Mendo Energy on a Stiga Nano All+ blade, but now I use it with my Gambler Arylyte-Carbon blade and Stiga Calibra LT Sound 2.0, and it works wonders. The spin, sound, and speed are all exceptional. Well done, Stiga.

#31 — March 2011

It seems amazing out of the wrapper. However, after about ten hours of use, the speed and spin drop slightly and plateau.

#32 — March 2011

In my opinion, this is not the best rubber available, but it is still very good to play with. I prefer Stiga Boost TX and Boost TC over Stiga Calibra LT Sound due to the former rubbers’ superior control and spin capabilities. However, the Calibra LT Sound is a perfect choice for players who exclusively employ an offensive playing style.

#33 — January 2011

It is really a rubber with a lot of inbuilt glue effect! Not good at all for pushing the ball, only for topspin or flat hitting.

Really very nice sound (plop!) like speed gluing!

Only for attacking style of play!! I play a red 2.0 mm on a Donic Waldner Carbon wood.

#34 — December 2010

Review text:

Same as Claibra LT but with a softer sponge, giving better control and making it more suitable for a backhand (BH). I found it easy to block with LT Sound on my BH. Additionally, BH loops were more spiny due to the increased dwell time provided by this rubber.

#35 — December 2010

This rubber is highly recommended.

It excels in both topspin loops and smashes.

The ball feel is responsive, making it easy for players of all levels, from beginners to professionals, to hit effectively.

#36 — October 2010

The rubber is fast and has an extremely soft sponge. It makes a very loud glue-effect noise, even louder than F3 Big Slam.

The speed and blocking are good. Looping is also nice from a distance, and the rubber is not too bouncy, so the short game is not too tricky. This is a common characteristic of the latest generation of tensors.

The only problem I had was that the throw angle seemed to be very low on smashes. As a result, all of my hits away from the table initially went straight into the net. However, this issue can be resolved by practicing with the rubber for a few hours.

#37 — September 2010

This rubber is very good for forehand (FH).

#38 — September 2010

The best rubber I have ever seen. It has good speed, fantastic spin, and incredible control. The sound it makes is a world apart. From now on, I will always play with it.

#39 — Long Time Ago...

Good rubber for placing on a hard and stiff blade because of the soft sponge. This rubber can increase dwell time if used on a flexible and less hard blade. The rubber is generally good for the backhand due to its soft sponge. It is beneficial for developing players who want to improve their backhand strokes because of its springy feel. Overall, this rubber is durable and suitable for the average club player.
