Tensor 24 reviews
This rubber is designed for intermediate players. It is suitable for all-around play, offering a balance of spinny topspins and chopping capabilities. However, it does not excel in any one particular area. Blocks and flicks are not particularly deadly with this rubber. It is a solid choice for players who are not quite yet at an intermediate level. The rubber is durable and has a long lifespan. Overall, it deserves a rating of 7.5.
The Aurus rubber on Butterfly Cypress Max (pen-hold, 10 mm thickness, hinoki): the top sheet of this rubber is significantly softer compared to other rubbers with 47-degree hardness (e.g., Rasent turbo, MXP, G-1). It is not a speedy rubber, but the spin and control are acceptable.

My favorite tensor rubber so far.
Forehand Rubber
This rubber excels on forehand strokes, providing a nice arc and abundant spin. While not particularly suited for chopping, it performs exceptionally well on blocks and flat hits. On a medium-strength blade, it offers above-average speed.
Pairing and Durability
For optimal performance, pair this rubber with an allwood blade that exhibits some flexibility. I have been using this combination for the past three months with very satisfactory results. The rubber’s durability is impressive, retaining its initial characteristics despite being used three times a week for three hours of exercise.
Aurus is the “do it all” rubber. Tested on both the forehand (FH) and backhand (BH), it performed well in all aspects. The sponge is hard, while the topsheet is soft. This provides a unique sensation where you can feel the ball penetrate the rubber and then explode off it. This combination is highly effective.
I used to play with this rubber on my backhand. This rubber is really good and excellent for topspins. However, it is not as fast as the JP01 Turbo. I was really satisfied with this rubber, but it only lasted for 2-3 months. Despite its short lifespan, this rubber helped me improve my skills. If you like spinny shots on your backhand, then this rubber is a good option. However, be aware that it will not last for a long period of time.
Aurus is the rubber for spin-oriented players as it does not have the killing speed like other tensors. It is best for service because other rubbers might have more spin, but with this rubber, you can place your serve anywhere, short or long, spinny or dead. It feels medium heavy to me. It is best in terms of control block and serve return is really easy. It has a high throw angle. Hitting topspin against backspin requires good technique. It is also good away from the table. It has a medium-soft feel. It is rubber for players who like control more than speed.
The rubber is good, but it is not so durable.
Great rubber. This rubber has many gears. It’s fast when you hit fast, and slow and has so much control with deft touch.
It is the best backhand rubber for Reverse Penhold Backhand (RPB) that I’ve ever played with. Before this, I’ve had a Mark V, Nimbus Soft, and Acuda S1 Turbo, but this rubber, in my opinion, beats all of them (only for backhand; Acuda S1 Turbo is the best forehand rubber for me). It works great with a hinoki blade or hinoki top ply. It’s truly amazing.
Using this rubber on my Backhand with Aurus Soft on FH Blade Timo Boll Spirit.
This rubber comes with hard sponge (than Aurus Soft) and is also slightly less tacky. As such, I mostly use this rubber for blocking and serving fast serves.
The speed is awesome, providing a great experience while playing away from the table. Additionally, this rubber offers a controlled game, making it ideal for speed-oriented intermediate or advanced players.
Just played with it for one session. Excellent speed, spin, and control. I use it as a forehand on a Stiga Rosewood NTC VII penhold blade. I have tried many rubbers for forehand on the Stiga blade, from Chinese rubber to Butterfly. This is the best so far.

Updates:
After almost 1 and a half year using Aurus, I would like to update or conclude that Aurus is simply the best, outstanding in terms of:
1) Service:
2) Service Return:
3) Push:
4) Flick:
5) Loop / Counter Loop:
6) Blocking:
For me, Aurus deserved 9.9 /10 or 5-star rating, totally satisfied.
I switched from this rubber a while ago, and since switching, I’ve been through about 5 or 6 backhand rubbers. None have satisfied me as much as Aurus did.
Serves are solid, with good spin and easy control to keep them short.
Blocks are great. The throw is medium-high, but it’s extremely consistent, which is all you can ask for from a rubber for quality blocks. Get used to the blade angles and you’ll be fine.
Counters are great. They’re fast, very controllable, and again, extremely consistent.
Pushes are just fine. It’s nice and controllable at slow speeds, and it’s not horribly jumpy at slow speeds, which is nice for touch.
Loops are great. It’s a good, fast rubber with decent dwell time. This rubber has an extremely strong grip, especially as you sink the ball deeper into the sponge.
Although I only played this rubber on the backhand, I could see just about anyone being able to play this rubber on either side. It is excellent. I highly recommend it. I would be playing it right now, but I have greener grass syndrome.
Perfect for an OFF or OFF- player! I use it in combination with an Andro Temper Tech OFF- blade, 2.1mm, for my forehand and it is absolutely perfect.
I ended up choosing Aurus as my replacement for Donic Desto F2 for my backhand. It is faster, even as a 1.9, and spinnier.
I also find it superior in control, spin, and speed to the Rapid.D.Tecs 2.0 that I have on my forehand, and it is also lighter in 1.9. Great sound, even in the normal version, and great feel, with more than enough precision for serves, smashes, and spin shots.
I find it’s a great, exciting rubber, and not as expensive as other new generation rubbers.
This rubber is great for playing close to the table. However, it does not perform as well when playing from a mid-distance.
One thing that I immediately noticed when using this rubber was that it produces VERY spiny serves.
Despite its spinny serves, I think I will stick with my Xiom Sigma Europe because this rubber is a bit slow for my liking.
Great rubber for all/off- players. It offers excellent control :)
Very good sensation. Very good secure topspins and devolutions of services in Fh and Bh. Permits good counterattacks but maybe a bit unstable in your definitely smashes.
