Review after 3 Years of Use

This review is based on my experience using Andro Tempertech All+ with Genius Sound on both sides for the past three years.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The rubber excels in generating topspin, but it produces less spin for loops. It also performs well for smashes and pushes, although not as effectively as tacky rubbers.

Transition from Galaxy Moonpro

Previously, I used Galaxy Moonpro on my backhand (BH). Its durability issues prompted me to switch to Genius Sound on the BH as well. A minor adjustment—allowing the ball to sink into the sponge before swinging—facilitated the transition.

Characteristics

Genius Sound is not a fast rubber, potentially due to its pairing with a wooden blade. It may perform more speedily on a carbon blade. However, it boasts exceptional control. Inbound spin tends to bite into it slightly, but playing with it over time allows for adjustments.

Recommendation

This forgiving rubber is highly recommended for intermediate-level players.

Thank you,
Ganesh

This rubber is very bouncy and sensitive to incoming spin. However, it is not suitable for backhand pushing. I have used it on my forehand with a DHS PG7 blade, and I did not like it. I would not recommend it for purchase.

Great rubber from Tibhar! It offers very good speed with great spin and control. I use it on both FH and BH. It is very good for an all-round/attacking style of play. It gives you a great feeling for the ball with a big dwell time.

However, it is not as good when playing with a plastic ball, mainly because I cannot play good first slow spin. But this could just be me.

Its durability is 10/10. I have been using it for a year now and it is “like new”, even though I play 8 hours a week. It is a soft rubber, so the edges fall off easily.

I would recommend it to both beginners and advanced players.

Good spin and control.
Very easy for use in forehand (FH) or backhand (BH).
I use it in backhand (BH).

Very good backhand rubber, good spin!

I don’t think speed and spin are as high as the other reviewers stated. However, control is remarkably high. Top speed and top spin are not extraordinary either.

But the control is so high that this rubber is a perfect place to start for youngsters who want to try a tensor for the first time. I can’t actually think of a better option for that purpose.

I play with 1.8 in forehand, with Victor Matshushita blade. Compared to Rakza 7 Soft that was my previous rubber, this rubber has better control, a lower angle, is better in smashes, and is a little faster. However, I think it has a little less spin, especially in services and chops. Overall, it is a good rubber.

Best rubber I’ve tried! It is best used with a stiff blade.

#9 — June 2014

Good speed and spin, but not so much control compared to Andro Hexer, Rasant, Tibhar Evolution FX-P, and EL-P.

Wonderful rubber. Its strongest pros are its spin and control. It provides way more spin than usual high-end rubbers!

I play this on the backhand with 1.8mm and Victas V>01 Limber 2.0mm on the forehand on a Donic Burn All+. It’s fast enough for killer spin and massive spin on slow loops. It’s also very good for service and service return. It’s the best rubber I’ve ever tried!

A superb rubber with a lot of spin, especially top and side spin. It offers a wide range of gears and produces a satisfying sound when topspinning and hitting the ball optimally. This sound indicates a high probability of earning a point.

The throw is medium-high, but it can be lowered significantly with a powerful swing. This rubber excels in providing control for those high-throw, spinny loops, allowing players precise ball placement.

On the backhand, this rubber also performs exceptionally as a chopping rubber, generating excellent backspin. It is a versatile rubber capable of handling a variety of shots.

I have paired it with a Donic Persson Dotec Off blade, creating a deadly combination.

The spin/speed ratio is excellent for topspin. This rubber is well-suited for near-the-table play, but it may not provide sufficient support for distance returns.

Additionally, this rubber complements my playing style and blades very well.

Excellent for my backhand! Perfect sound and feeling! Good spin, satisfying speed for me (OFF- player), and good control! It’s worth it!

Put this rubber (2.0 mm) on the Tibhar Stratus Power Wood blade (FH) for a brilliant combination. It provides a nice feel, good control and feedback, as well as ample speed and spin. Additionally, it produces a satisfying sound during play.

Hi. I just got this rubber yesterday for my Xiom blade, the 117 EUR one. I got two sheets of Tibhar Genius Sound, both 2.0. I previously used a black Xiom Omega IV Asia (backhand) and a Tenergy 05 FX on the forehand. After playing for about four hours, this is what I found:

The feel is a lot lighter, so it’s easier to reach fast balls. The speed decreased a bit, but the spin is about the same as Tenergy. You just need to get used to it. Blocking is a breeze as it doesn’t react much to the opponent’s topspin. Serves are good enough. I found that the rally increased a lot; the control is really good for players who can use their heads to point instead of raw power (like Tenergy users). Overall, it’s a pretty awesome “genius” rubber. I have used Tenergy, but I’m not going back to it. This rubber fits my needs perfectly, and it should work out for you as well.

This rubber is impressive, offering a great balance of spin, speed, and feel.

Its catapult effect is exceptional, resulting in a highly curved ball trajectory, making it easy to execute topspin shots on the table.

Compared to the popular Tenergy 05, this rubber offers slightly less speed (approximately 15-20%) but maintains a comparable level of spin. However, it provides significantly improved control and feel, allowing you to have a better connection with the ball.

The unique clicking sound produced by this rubber adds an enjoyable auditory element to your gameplay.

This tire closely simulates Tenergy FX. It is excellent for blocking, topspins, and drives. With medium-soft hardness, it provides a perfect catapult effect. My preference is Donic Baracuda, which offers excellent control, good stamina (surpassing the Nimbus series), and very good topspin and targeting capabilities.

Tibhar Genius

Sound:

  • Beautiful feel, wonderful control, and nice sound when hitting the ball.

Feel:

  • Perfect rubber for those who want a moderate amount of spin in serves and aggressive pushes with ample spin. Powerful in blocks.
  • Pretty good in both forehand and backhand.
  • Highly spinny in topspin.

Control:

  • Not very speedy, but this provides increased controllability.

Difficulty:

  • May be challenging to return balls from serves, flicks, and smashes. However, with practice, you can overcome this.

Conclusion:

  • From my perspective, this rubber is an excellent choice for various playing styles. Give it a try!

Genius Sound is the softer version of the original Genius rubber. As such, it is not as fast as the original. The topsheet of both rubbers is the same: grippy and very elastic. However, Genius Sound plays differently from the original because it has way more catapult effect and a softer sponge.
