A lot heavier than noted 4.0, I paired a max red FH & a 2.0 black BH on an 84g Yasaka Ma Lin Max Carbon, totaling a weight of 189g. Just before, I had on the same blade 2 Yasaka Mark V HPS max red FH & 2.0 black BH, but only 174g total weight, with the same number of glue layers. 15g heavier; I can’t believe it.

Spin is good, but also a lot less than Mark V HPS. You have to engage a lot more of the sponge to get high spin, but this often results in the ball going out of the table. This is true for topspin attack but also for aggressive pushes and short game in general. So, as it’s less easy to get spin, but also with more catapult, control is, for me, less than average. Consistency and durability seem good.

Not tried on another blade than Ma Lin Max Carbon, but with this blade and I think in general with inner carbon blades, it is not a super rubber but only an average one. Mark V HPS, with its softer top sheet, is a lot lighter and significantly better than this rubber.

I used a few sheets of >01 Stiff and also the Limber & Regular. All are good offensive rubbers, being more in the balance of power, spin & control. Stiff is the fastest & Limber gives the most loud sound in hitting. They are user-friendly rubbers and easy to handle. The only little weaker point is the average durability. Often you’ll see them on sale for < $US 45, so stock up for a few sheets. You’ll like it!

Everybody says this is best on the backhand. I turn my blade around and for me this is best on the forehand. Good solid spin rubber, nice throw angle, and even flat hits are easy with this. Blocking is like a dream.

After reading some reviews about how good Victas 01 stiff is on backhand, I decided to give it a try. And bingo, it’s another great rubber with excellent overall stats.

Speed and spin are great, and it has amazing control. I’ve never hit so many killers reverse pendulum backhands. It took just a few sessions to break in, to achieve the 45-degree hardness feeling, which for me is the best backhand hardness. Thanks, Victas.

High performance rubber features a 45-degree sponge that is highly responsive yet not bouncy. It offers excellent grip, producing exceptional spin and control. This rubber is highly recommended for all-around players to offensive spin junkies seeking optimal performance.

I am very satisfied with this rubber on my backhand. I previously used Tenergy 05 and was looking for better control, which I have found in Stiff.

The spin is great, and the speed is very good, but it is also very easy to control! The sponge is medium-hard, but the topsheet is really hard rubber, which you can also feel when you cut it on a blade.

I really recommend this rubber!

I got 1.8 red and am currently using it on Hurricane Hao 2 Cpen as my RPB rubber.

The control is superb! The consistency of my shots has improved. RPB flicks are easier. Blocking feels good.

I still haven’t tested the rubber for RPB looping mid-distance to conclude how good it is.

The rubber gave me excellent short game pushes.

The one thing I am having difficulty with is my third ball attacking with my BH. The ball tends to go into the net. I think the problem is my technique, it needs adjustment and more practice.

I also think that the rubber is very durable. It doesn’t collect much dust at all.

Speed: Like T64

Spin: Slightly less than T64

Throw Angle: Slightly lower than T64

Incoming Spin Sensitivity: More insensitive than T64

Personal Experience: I use it on my backhand, having moved from T64 and T80 to this rubber on a BTY ALC blade.

Great rubber. I use it on the TBS on the BH side, and on the FH, I played with T05. I have already thrown away the T05 and ordered a second Victas Stiff. The control of this rubber is surprisingly good, and it has an off speed with excellent spin. This rubber is for offensive players who want to control a game with consistent power and spin. If I have to compare Victas with T05, with Victas, it is easier to do open topspin, and it’s less sensitive to incoming spin.

I was looking for a FH (OFF carbon blade) rubber similar to Rasant (for topspin and active block). My local dealer recommended V01 Stiff to me, and I’m very satisfied with it.
It offers more control and spin than Rasant, with enough speed for retopspin 3-4m away. I can even chop 3m away from the table.
However, the speed was too much for me on the BH.

Best rubber ever for backhand, use the normal Victas V >01 for forehand. Victas Stiff is best for backhand.

#12February 2025

Top 5 rubbers for the backhand. Nice 45-degree angle, lots of spin, and speed.

#13November 2024

Excellent rubber; I love using it. I have been using it for years. Very good for backspin as well.

#14November 2022

I use these rubbers on both forehand and backhand… good on speed, spin, and control!

#15August 2020

This rubber and Vega Japan feel so good on the backhand. They just make sense.

#16June 2020

I reviewed this rubber before, but only for forehand (yeah, I’m stupid at times). Well, I ended up hitting it again, on the backhand side, on a friend’s blade. I couldn’t believe I didn’t try it out for backhand…sigh… So - 01 Stiff - I had to find a BH rubber that A) allowed for controlled receives B) good flicks C) kicking spin D) mid-throw angle E) quick block return speed and F) flat hitting/punching. Almost all good BH rubbers do a thru e well, but not f. 01 Stiff allows for almost a Mima Ito backhand punch/drive/flat shot that goes where you’re aiming, very consistently, not reacting to opponents’ incoming spin. Plenty fast, kicking spin, super control. Love it.

#17April 2020

Probably one of the best rubbers there are for intermediate players. Improved my RPB greatly with this rubber. The 45-degree sponge won’t be fast enough for more advanced players though.

#18April 2020

The perfect hardness of the sponge and great top sheet.

#19February 2020

Very good for control and blocking.

#20January 2020

Speed, control, and spin are good. However, I need more time to evaluate the whole thing.

#21January 2020

This rubber is average in terms of attacking strokes on the FH and a bit slower than all other Victas rubbers. It is not suitable for those looking for fast attacking and spinning play levels.

#22December 2019

Revspin has the speed at 9.2, but it’s more like 9.4; faster than expected. Revspin has the spin at 9.5, but it’s more like 9.3; I can’t get the ball to bite into the rubber for short/medium shots like Golden Arc 8 (for example), though longer shots are quite spinny. Rakza 9 has a trajectory that sails fairly straight and then dips (often past the table), which is what this Victas did for me too. It’s a little like Tenergy 05 Hard - fast, longer arc. Quality rubber, but better for rallies farther back.

#23November 2019

Fast, spinny, controlled, blocking, looping, flat hitting…all better than expected. This rubber does it all for me; on the forehand, it is sharp and fast; unaffected by incoming spin. I have used it on wooden and carbon blades and it works well on both. Not quite as fast as Xiom Sigma for me but perhaps as good if not better all around. Time will tell how longevity is… As usual, fantastic and seamless service halfway around the Planet.

#24September 2019

Good speed, control, and spin are great.

#25April 2019

These are excellent rubbers. I have them in maximum size. Perfect speed, spin, and the best part of these rubbers is control.

#26November 2018

Хорошо подходит для игры на BH на быстрых основаниях.

#27November 2018

Medium-hard, just a little faster than Limber 01 with very good control and excellent spin. Very good looping, great FH rubber. I recommend both Limber rubbers.

#28June 2018

Good rubber.

#29June 2018

Works well with medium-fast blades. Very spinny on serves and can lift backspin easily. Has a very high arc, drops like T05. Not as bouncy but creates a good arc. Serve contact and brushing were superb, touch is somewhat hard to handle. Great for blocking. Becomes a good control rubber once tamed. Excellent for backhand strokes. Very good for compact stroke players at medium range from the table.

#30January 2018

Excellent.

#31November 2017

This is a medium rubber with excellent quality and performance. 45 degrees, very good durability and consistency, but the best thing for me? The tension is not as high as regular European rubbers. It allows you to generate a great amount of spin and speed, but the ball will not be catapulted away from your blade. That’s an excellent feature for me, especially at this point where I’m focusing on increasing my level of control in my shots.

#32October 2017

Maximum control, perfect rotation.

#33September 2017

Good for control and spin.

#34May 2017

Have been using the rubber on my backhand (Butterfly ZLC blade). Very effective for block, loop, and touch play over the table is better than average. The rubber is also fairly durable. I switched from Tenergy 64, and this is 90% of the Tenergy series at 50% of the price. Will never use Tenergy again.

#35April 2016

Nice spin, pretty fast, good blocking abilities, and not very sensitive to incoming spin. Medium arc. Being used on the BH.
