Good blade, but it requires significant playing time to achieve good control. Fast blade with a good choice of rubbers can enhance your level of play. It may not be suitable for beginners, but it’s a solid choice for intermediate players.

A very good blade.

Use soft or medium rubbers.

This is an awesome blade for a mid-far game style. It provides excellent control and spin, making it ideal for players who prefer to keep their opponents at bay and dictate the pace of the game. The blade is also well-balanced, which makes it easy to maneuver and generate power. Overall, this is a great choice for players who are looking for a blade that will give them the edge in the mid-far game.

BTY: The Gergely Alpha is a new version of one of Butterfly’s most popular Carbon Fiber blades of all time. Lighter in weight and featuring a more compact head than the original Gergely Carbon, the Alpha is better designed for use with the newer and heavier generation of rubbers. The Gergely Alpha features Cypress outer layers, Carbon Fiber secondary layers, and a balsa center ply.

Mine is the ST handle, a little bit shorter than the TBS ST handle, which I like so much. The speed is amazing, paired with Spin Art (FH) & T80 (BH), still with a much speed. Blocking is very easy, still with good control (much better control than Garaydia T500 with T05).

High-class caliber blade, worth buying! Very useful in battling an opponent’s killing styles.

Not bad. Not for beginners. Soft n' high spin rubber recommended. Nice on topspin n' block. With good technique on short game.

I have played with four blades: AMAZUNOV OFF+, Butterfly Sardius, Butterfly Amultart ZL Carbon, and Butterfly Gergely Alpha. In my opinion, the Amultart ZL Carbon is adequate and easy to use with various types of rubbers. However, the Butterfly Gergely Alpha is the superior choice when using Butterfly Tenergy 05 rubber on both sides.

Alternatively, for a forehand, Butterfly Tenergy 05 is recommended. For a backhand, consider Butterfly Tenergy 05, Xiom Omega V Tour, Stiga Calibra LT Sound, or Stiga Calibra LT Spin.

This blade paired with T05 rubber on both sides is a perfect match for me. It provides ample speed, making it easy to block and generate spin. The setup is highly accurate and reliable, making it suitable for experienced players who prefer an attacking style of play. However, it may not be the best choice for beginners.

The Tamca 5000 blade is an excellent choice for experienced players. It boasts impressive speed, allowing for powerful shots. Spin generation is also notable, enhancing control during rallies.

However, beginners and intermediate players may find it challenging to tame this blade’s speed and lack of control. Its unforgiving nature demands a high level of skill and precision, making it less suitable for those still developing their techniques.

Consider adjusting your expectations or seeking a more forgiving blade if you are new to table tennis or still honing your skills.

I used rubber: Stiga Neos Sound & Butterfly Tackfire D. I got this blade weight = 86 grams. No vibration when hit hard. Nice sound when hit ball (with STIGA Calibra Sound or Neos). Speed like a cannon. Surprise attack on the enemy with powerful TOPSPIN. Head more compact, swing more faster.

It looks very nice, and is well manufactured.

Very stiff feeling; almost no vibration. I would not rate it as “Off+”, an Iolite Neo is definitely faster.

Due to its stiffness, the control is good, but I prefer a little softer feeling.

The size of the blade is also a little smaller than average.

Wonderful blade when combined with medium to low throw angle rubbers. It is consistent and pacy. Do not expect any surprises, it is just consistently good. One can play offensive from medium distance with ease, while executing occasional drop shots is also achievable.

Very good speed and control. Amazing blade!
