I have been using Factive on a Primorac blade for about six months, both on my forehand and backhand. I am an advanced beginner/intermediate offensive player in a club. I found that the rubber offers a great balance between spin, speed, and control for my level of play. However, when I used it on a Tibhar Stratus Powerwood blade, it felt a bit too fast for me. Overall, I think it plays similarly to Butterfly Rozena but is a much cheaper alternative.

This value rubber from Nittaku can be played on both the forehand and backhand. At only €29, it offers an outstanding performance-to-value ratio.

It is a unique rubber with its own distinct characteristics, making it difficult to compare to other options. While it may not excel in any particular area, it performs consistently well across all aspects of the game.

It is like a tamed version of fast arc C1 by 10%. It does everything well. It has a very nice feel. It has decent speed but is not a speed monster. Spin insensitive, nice for blocking. It is also a light rubber and durable for its weight. And cheap, I got it for 17 euro on tt11 on sale. Everything is nice about this rubber except it doesn’t have that speed glue sound to provide you feedback.

I tried this after D05, and all I can say is that this is the perfect backhand rubber for close to table style. It lacks power for a 2-3m distance game, but the feeling is awesome.
No more Dignics and Tenergies for me!

Very good for the BH.

As others have mentioned, this is a backhand rubber. It is currently ranked 6th in the list of Most Purchased Rubbers in Asia for the month of May 2020.

Thickness: 2.0 mm

This rubber features a soft sponge, but it is heavier than rubbers with a thickness of 2.1 mm.

Initial Impressions

Initially, I employed this rubber for my backhand (BH), but I realized that I required more topspin for that shot. Since this rubber provided insufficient spin, I switched to using it for my forehand (FH), as my FH technique allows me to generate topspin more readily.

Characteristics

The rubber excels in speed and controllability. It enables me to place the ball accurately. Additionally, it performs well for pushing and is suitable for gameplay away from the table.

Suitability

This rubber is a good choice for individuals who are new to table tennis. However, if you prioritize generating exceptional topspin, Mark V rubber might be a better and more cost-effective option.

This is an extremely good backhand rubber, providing an optimal amount of spin for backhand looping or performing deep cuts.

I like this rubber a lot.
My forehand is my weaker side, and I use my backhand to attack a lot more.
This rubber works well on my forehand. I focus on placement and spin with it on forehand. When done properly, this rubber has enough speed to win points. Think Samsonov (placement).

I use Bluestorm Z1 on backhand.

Backhand Rubber a la Carte

This review will provide an overview of table tennis rubbers designed specifically for the backhand. These rubbers offer a wide range of characteristics to suit different playing styles. Whether you prefer a fast and spinny rubber or a slow and controlled one, there is a backhand rubber that will meet your needs.

When choosing a backhand rubber, there are several factors to consider. The first is the thickness of the sponge. The thicker the sponge, the faster the rubber will be. However, a thicker sponge also reduces control. The second factor to consider is the hardness of the sponge. A harder sponge will produce more spin but less speed, while a softer sponge will provide more speed but less spin.

Finally, you need to consider the type of surface the rubber is designed for. There are rubbers designed for both indoor and outdoor play. Indoor rubbers are typically made with a softer sponge that provides more control. Outdoor rubbers are made with a harder sponge that can withstand the elements.

Once you have considered these factors, you can start to narrow down your choices. The following are some of the most popular backhand rubbers on the market:

  • Butterfly Tenergy 05: This is a fast and spinny rubber that is well-suited for aggressive players.
  • Nittaku Fastarc G-1: This is a slightly slower and more controlled rubber that is a good choice for all-around players.
  • Xiom Vega Pro: This is a very fast and spinny rubber that is designed for power hitters.
  • TSP Ventus Basic: This is a slow and controlled rubber that is ideal for beginners and recreational players.

No matter what your playing style, there is a backhand rubber that will help you improve your game. So take some time to consider the factors discussed above and start shopping for the perfect rubber for you.

Amazing rubber for backhand. This is the perfect rubber for a block and control player. It generates plenty of spins. However, it needs more power if you want to perform a backhand topspin to cross the ball due to the softer sponge. Nonetheless, it is a great rubber for backhand and forehand for beginner and intermediate players who seek control and spin with Japanese topsheet and sponge.

Backhand Rubber Review

After six months of using this rubber on my backhand, I can confidently declare it to be the most controllable option I have ever encountered for all-round and offensive play. It excels in all aspects - backspin, topspin, and blocking. Additionally, it is relatively insensitive to incoming spin.

The only minor drawback is a slight lack of power when playing away from the table.

Forehand Impressions

When experimenting with this rubber on my forehand, I was particularly impressed by its ability to neutralize incoming topspin. It also enabled me to execute powerful topspins from virtually any angle. The rubber’s unique grip and feel noticeably alter its performance characteristics.

The ideal rubber for the backhand side of the shakehand grip. It is mostly suited for players who prefer brushing the ball rather than hitting it hard. Its consistency in blocking and looping backspin is amazing, making your game more comfortable. Contrary to the manufacturer’s description, it is not a hard rubber (45 degrees).
