Hi folks,
I have been using the Vega Tour rubber on my forehand (FH) with a Butterfly Taksim blade for over a month, and I really enjoy it. Before this, I had the Omega 7 Asia and Europe rubbers.

Amazingly, the Vega Tour performs very similarly to the Omega 7 Asia. While it may be a little slower, it is much cheaper and lighter in weight. I will report on the durability since the Omega 7 rubbers have a long lifespan.

I can’t believe it, but it’s true! If you see it on sale, give it a try—you’ll definitely like it!

Overall, the rubber is very nice to play with. I use the red version with max thickness. However, the durability of the rubber is poor. After every match, I notice that a small piece of the topsheet at the side of the blade tears.

I tested the Xiom Vega Tour for a few weeks during the summer, and I found it to be a real spin machine. It generates even more spin than its “little brother,” the Vega Pro. The rubber plays incredibly dynamically, which is typical of ESN products. According to the manufacturer, it features the same technology as the Omega VII.

However, I noticed that the rubber is heavier, making my racket more top-heavy, which suits my playing style. The ball contact time is sufficient for me, allowing me to play safely in blocks and counters. The rubber is also very fast, enabling me to execute uncompromising topspins with ease. Additionally, the price is quite reasonable. As a result, I anticipate that this rubber will continue to dominate my forehand in the future.

On the other hand, I do not recommend this rubber for all-round players, as I lack the skill to use it effectively on my backhand. The performance is definitely pivotal in this regard.

By the way, one of the significant advantages of this rubber is its service capability. It allows for short serves that come with a lot of spin.

This rubber is great for developing players. It is a bit slower, harder, and heavier than the Omega VII Euro, but it offers better control and similar spin, along with an improved feel on the ball.

When uncutted and in max thickness, it weighs about 67 grams on average. It is suitable for harder blades and is highly recommended for those looking to enhance their game.
