What a speedy classic blade! I feel extra confident when using it.

This blade is exceptionally fast, allowing for quick and dynamic gameplay.

#2 — October 2020

It is very fast and very hard. It is better to use the soft rubber to reduce speed and increase spin. But the blade is comfortable for me. When I used it, I tried rubber which is Yinhe Moon Soft for Backhand and Forehand. It feels good to me.

This blade is perfect for playing near the table and for making long loops from distant positions. I use Tenergy 05 FX and Tenergy 80 with this blade, which is a perfect setup for me.

Very offensive blade.

With T05 FH and Rakza 7 Soft BH, it’s good for blocking, fast return, and more spin to attack.

However, I recommend H3 neo with no booster and thin speed glue to give more control.

I purchased this blade in 2006 or 2007 second-hand. The blade is very fast and suits my style of play. The surface edge of the blade is very smooth and comfortable to hold. The best experience I have had with this blade is when using Butterfly Bryce on the backhand, offering excellent blocking capabilities and speed. Even when using less expensive rubber (KTL Pro-XP and XT), this blade still performs exceptionally.

Review:

The blade is very fast and stiff with good control. Compared to the BTY Garaydia T5000, it has a slightly higher vibration level. It is also larger than most blades on the market, measuring 158x152mm. I was fortunate to acquire a lightweight blade at 88g. I am currently using Tenergy 64 on the forehand and Tenergy 05 on the backhand. I plan to switch to a softer sponge/rubber combination in the future.

Legendary? I don’t think so because this blade is the ultimate in balance, meaning it can defend and offend. It is best suited for an above-average type of player.

#8 — May 2016

Not for newbies, I have tried so many rubbers and now ended up with a good combination of Gewo Flexxon FX and Nanoflex FT40 which best suits for power smash and control. It also improves blocking and chops.

Crazy speed. Use soft rubber to help with control. Best quality. Not suitable for beginners.

I play this blade with Hurricane 8 and Rasante Powergrip. Obviously, there is less “feeling” when it makes contact with the ball. However, that doesn’t mean it is overly stiff. The issue is that you can’t tell whether the spin you generate is great or bad, even using Hurricane 8. But again, that doesn’t mean there is no spin.

You really need to be self-confident with your skills to master this blade. I don’t suggest this blade to any beginners or those who need to judge their skills from the blade.

I recommend this blade to hard hitters, mid-level players who have good judgment on serve and spin, and those who want to finish the game in a short time.

I’ve been using this blade since 2000 and I’ve played in numerous tournaments within my country. It has become an extension of my playing style. It’s an exceptional blade, but unfortunately, its price makes it difficult for me to purchase another one. If anyone knows of a similar blade that can match its performance, please reach out to me on Facebook. I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Despite being broken twice, I’ve glued it back together and continue to play with it. This blade enables me to execute rapid loops and powerful blocks with devastating precision. I highly recommend pairing it with T05 rubber—they complement each other perfectly and enhance the blade’s capabilities.

Played with this blade decades ago. It is a high-quality blade from BTY. However, its speed and stiffness are outdated with the advent of tensor and glue effect rubber technology as well as new blade compositions. This blade is simply too hard and fast for the majority of players. BTY has discontinued many superior blades over the years, so it is puzzling why this model is still being produced.

Unless you are a blade collector, I recommend saving your money. It excels at very fast blocking at the table or looping from a distance. With 1QHD max, you can loop from anywhere. Its old-school Tamca Carbon layers make it a formidable weapon, but even pure power players should avoid it.

Although Sardius is always a very popular blade in my country due to its extreme speed, it is also a nightmare for intermediate players like me. The only power of this blade is when you smash. The ball flies extremely low, fast and is really difficult to return. However, modern table tennis players don’t give you many chances to smash. You need to build up your loops, counter-loops, blocks, pushes, flicks and even serves. Personally, Sardius is a very inappropriate blade for learning or improving those basic strokes.

The racket is very good, especially for players with large hands. However, it does have a tendency to wear out fairly quickly. I had to switch to the Timo Boll ALC after only 1 year and 9 months due to the wear and tear.

#15 — July 2013

The fastest blade that I have ever tried. Many people have said that Sardius is not good for players who like to spin the ball and works very well only for hitting and smashing the ball. For me, with a good combination of rubber, we can produce a good spin with Sardius. You have to look for flexible rubber (FX) to reduce its hardness. I chose Butterfly Sriver G3 FX for my forehand and TSP Super Spinpips 21 for my backhand. Sardius works very ideally if you combine it with a short pips rubber.

When the ball hits the blade, it’s as if the ball gets kicked. Adjust the wording slightly as needed.

I recently purchased a second-hand table tennis blade that was still in excellent playing condition. I tested it out for an extended period of almost seven hours and found it to be a heavy but powerful blade.

Despite its weight, I found it surprisingly easy to control. I paired it with Nittaku Magic Carbon and Joola Samba plus rubbers, which both feature soft to medium sponge with soft top sheet. This combination proved to be excellent for flat driving and fast ball play.

While it required some effort to tame the blade’s speed, I learned to use it to my advantage. During matches, two opponents quickly noticed my improved third ball attack. One of them was particularly surprised, as I had never defeated him before.

It’s worth noting that the weight of the blade (compared to my previous 88-gram blade) caused some strain on my wrist. However, I am very satisfied with the results I achieved, as evidenced by my victories against my opponents.

The blade is a good option for beginners. It’s not too fast or too slow, and it gives good control. It’s also a good value for the price.

The blade is made of five layers of wood. Outer layers are hard wood. The core is soft wood. This construction gives the blade a good balance of speed, control, and feel.

The blade is also well-made. Blades are sanded are smooth and the edges are rounded. The handle is comfortable to hold.

Overall, the blade is a good option for beginners and recreational players. It’s affordable, well-made, and plays well.

I love this blade. It’s made from hinoki, carbon, and balsa. It has good speed and control, and it feels comfortable in my hand.

It’s also good for countering, and it can generate a lot of topspin.

Overall, the Tamga 5000 with balsa and hinoki is a great choice.

#20 — December 2011

This blade is very good. It has a good balance of speed and control. The blade is also very well-made and durable. Overall, I am very happy with this blade and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good all-around blade.

#21 — November 2011

I have been using the Sardius blade for over 10 years, and I am very satisfied with its performance. It offers a powerful and high-speed playing experience, weighs a moderate 93 grams, and has a stylish aesthetic. While the blade excels in these aspects, it requires a certain level of skill to control effectively due to its inherent fast nature.

To enhance control without compromising the blade’s power, I recommend using soft rubbers with soft sponges. This combination can significantly improve the blade’s handling and precision. By making these slight adjustments, you can fully enjoy the Sardius blade’s capabilities. If necessary, make any minor adjustments to the phrasing for better clarity and readability.

It’s a very good blade. It’s worth buying it. Its speed is magnificent and it also produces nice spin. I am currently using DHS Neo Hurricane 3 Provincial on my forehand and Donic Traction for my backhand. It is a good combination, but it is quite heavy. A week ago, my Donic Traction hit the edge of the table and ripped about 3 mm wide. Should I change it with rubbers other than the Donic Traction, or should I just buy a new Donic Traction? This blade is more suited for offensive play, not defensive play.

#23 — August 2011

It’s a great blade for hard attackers.

#24 — June 2011

Combined with Tenergy FX, this blade is tremendously fast. The clicking sound is amazing, and the feeling of the ball on the blade is present. It is a good blade.

#25 — April 2011

The blade is fast, but you can use soft rubber to control its speed.

#26 — April 2011

Super fast and hard blade.

It has a very comfortable handle.

There is no vibration.

However, it is too fast for most players.

The Butterfly Petr Korbel is a classic blade that has been used by many top players over the years. It is a 5-ply blade with a limba outer ply and a core of spruce and ayous. The blade is known for its excellent control and feel, making it a good choice for all-around players. However, it is not as powerful as some of the other blades on the market, so it may not be the best choice for players who are looking for a lot of power.

The Korbel is a good choice for players of all skill levels. It is a forgiving blade that is easy to control, making it a good choice for beginners. It is also a good choice for intermediate and advanced players who are looking for a blade that provides excellent control and feel.

Very fast attacking blade. Soft rubber is recommended.

#30 — November 2010

I’ve been using this blade for years. It’s great. I’m a looper and use a softer, slower rubber to counter the speed of the blade. It works great for me.

#31 — November 2010

This blade is excellent for fast blocking and punching, but it is not suitable for looping. I recommend using soft rubber with this blade.

#32 — October 2010

Crazy fast blade, amazing for counter-attacks and attacks. Your opponent will definitely be left shaken!

#33 — August 2010

It’s a very fast paddle. I’m not sure if you can loop with it because my father has the paddle. He’s a smasher, not a looper, but he told me the blade is super fast.

Attack Fastest Blade

The Attack Fastest blade is a 5-ply all-wood blade designed for offensive play. It has a limba outer ply, which provides a crisp and responsive feel. The core is made of ayous, which gives the blade a good amount of power. The handle is flared, which makes it comfortable to grip.

The Attack Fastest blade is best suited for players who like to attack from close to the table. It is also a good choice for players who want to improve their power and speed.

Pros:

* Crisp and responsive feel * Good amount of power * Comfortable to grip

Cons:

* May be too fast for some players * Not as durable as some other blades

#35 — September 2008

I found this to be an excellent blade with decent speed. However, I stopped playing with it because I wanted even more speed, and I got my Boll TriCarbon from storage. This is still an excellent blade and served me very well.

#36 — March 2008

This is a super-fast attacking blade that I used for the past 15 years until I switched to a slightly slower blade.

This is an excellent blade for young, energetic players who attack or counter-attack all the time. Every time the ball is struck, you can feel the powerful ball taking off from the Sardius and a joy watching its impact on your opponent.
