It is a little faster than the average rating. Very good wood. Well controlled off-attacker. Nicely crafted racket and the box is also elegant. The composite layer increases stability and the edge is easy to play. The handle is a bit thin. Nice and good quality, it’s a pity that they are no longer produced.

Vega Pro Review I have been playing with the Vega Pro for a few months now and I really like it. It’s flexible and doesn’t feel stiff at all, despite having a carbon layer. The layers are as follows: limba - zephylium carbon - ayous - kiri - ayous - zephylium carbon - limba.

I got the FL handle, which weighs 86 g. The top of the handle is a bit thin, so people with large hands might prefer a bigger handle. The wings are a bit sharp, which can be uncomfortable when serving. I recommend sanding them down.

If you prefer topspin, you have to try this blade. It has some gears and both slow topspin packed with spin as well as fast shooting topspin is possible. Due to its flex, I wouldn’t recommend too soft rubbers and/or rubbers with a high catapult. The latest ESN tensors with high catapult gave me some unpredictable shots from time to time.

The quality of the blade is not the best to be honest. Some carbon fibers are sticking out, which I had to cut off. Overall, it’s a very decent blade, suited for topspin-oriented players.

I love this blade. The control is linear with its capability in speed. I always love the feel and character of Xiom blades, which mine is Xiom Vega Pro and Omega Pro blades. Despite some issues with the finishing on the edges of the blade, overall this blade has a great design and finishing.

Crazy, just crazy. Spin Lord Dornenglanz with 1,0mm Toni Hold Dampening Sponge for BH and Donic Bluefire JP01 Turbo for FH.

The blade has a similar feel and construction to the BTF Mizutani Jun, but it has a lower speed due to a thinner carbon layer and less weight. It pairs perfectly with Tenergy 05 or any other modern tensor. The blade offers a very precise and well-balanced feel.

Pros: * Excellent build quality and feel * Medium-high throw * Woody feel * Good blocking capabilities * Attractive appearance * High-quality Limba

Cons: * Relatively high cost * Larger than average head size (158x152mm)

The Holy Grail!!! :)

I love this blade. It gives me good control, spin, and power… the feeling is awesome!!! The ST Grip is very comfortable in your hand and doesn’t slip. The reason why this blade is just a 9.8 out of 10 is that when I took my rubbers off for the first time, a wood-piece broke out from the out-layer… it’s not that bad, but annoying.

Nevertheless, I would recommend this blade to every advanced player who likes spin, speed, and feeling.

Obviously, all reviews are somewhat subjective. This blade, to me, is the holy grail. I’ve tried them all: SZLC, ZLC, ALC, Barwell Fleet, Acoustic Carbon, Dima Carbon - all of them faded in comparison.

The Vega Pro has a unique combination of a huge sweet-spot (common in super composites), a speed characteristic that is enough for the 40mm ball without being completely bonkers, and a level of control that I did not think was possible in a blade with these offensive characteristics.

The only annoying aspect is the less-than-perfect finish. Some sharpish edges need to be taken off with a grinder or sandpaper. Besides that, if you’re a decent player, end your search here and get it. Fantastic price-to-performance ratio as well.

Update: I am very disappointed with Vega Pro. It could not survive a single blow and got split into two (just 2 months old). That hurts, you see the cost of the blade. It’s so unreliable and requires a substitute blade ready before a big tournament.

Agree with Rustt… it’s truly a versatile blade.

Update: Comparing to Viscaria, Vega Pro is slightly stiffer and slower in away from the table game.

Last 4 years, I have been playing with Donic Ultra Carbon Senso (WUCS) blade so my review is rather relative. It’s faster than WUCS and better in almost all departments. OFF-/OFF blade despite being light weight. Very well balance blade. I am Impressed with XIOM quality. Wonderful craftsmanship.

Very good with Looping + Blocking game that exceptional quality. Very good for on the table play. Certainly good sweet spot but not as much as I expected. Throw angle is lower than WUCS. Very good feeling, you feel like connected with it.

Overall this blade is just awesome.

It’s fast, but not super fast type. It allows for a very good overall offensive game. With this blade I have low error rate.

Since I purchased this blade for enhancing speed, I am little bit disappointed since it’s not that fast.

Someone has done a comparison with BTY Zhang Zike Super ZLC on OOK Forum at following link. May be you find it useful:-

I have been testing the Vega Pro combined with my normal setup (Omega V Asia FH and Dr. Neubauer Viper OX BH). Comparing it to the BTY Viscaria FL which I am using at the moment, speed-wise, I would say it’s an OFF- blade when rating the Viscaria as a normal OFF blade, speed feels quite similar to the Stiga Carbonado 145. The Vega Pro doesn’t have high vibration at any strokes but still has an amazing touch.

CONTROL!!! is the description of this amazing blade. Even if I was out of position, I always got the ball to land where I wanted to.

As for spin, I’d say it comes with a high level, on par with the Viscaria, but not as much as with the Stiga Carbonado 145. I will be trying a Vega Japan on the VH with this blade, maybe it will make an improvement on spin according to Xiom’s description. The Omega V Asia should be a bit too hard for the Vega Pro blade.

Can’t tell much about the pimple play because I didn’t play much with my BH this day, but it definitely was very controlled too.

Gonna update my review when I got to play more with this amazing blade. Still gonna try the Stradivarius and the Zetro Quad too because those sound pretty interesting too.

Very nice blade, lower end of off blade. Not very fast but quick enough.

Lots of feelings and touch, medium soft feel has lots of dwell.

Nice to loop has good flex on big strokes, blocking and short game is very controllable.

Throw is good above medium.

My blade weighs 85g feels light and well balanced.

This blade performance similar to my butterfly if zlf but slower, good for someone who needs that extra control and time.

By the way the handle on these blades are better than previous ones, VP has more round and fuller handle to hold than traditional flat handle of Xiom.

The best choice for attack and control.

The blade is well-balanced and has a good feel in the hand. It is also very forgiving, making it a good choice for players of all levels.

The blade is made of high-quality materials and is very durable. It is also very easy to maintain, making it a good choice for players who are new to the sport.

Overall, the blade is a great choice for players who are looking for a well-balanced and forgiving blade that is also very durable and easy to maintain.

I bought this blade recently, and my performance increased instantly. I use it with T05; it weighs 84 grams and has an ST handle.

The handle is indeed a little thin (I have fairly big hands).

Control is amazing, and speed is around Ma Long’s Maze but with better control. It is suitable for both slow and high-speed games.

The throw angle is medium. Compared to other blades, this one maintains its throw no matter how hard you hit (flexible blades have a higher throw the harder you hit, and hard blades have a low throw when you hit hard). This blade is great in this regard and maintains a constant throw.

I love this versatile blade. The consistency and control are rare in a blade that is capable of extreme speed. My attacks are faster and more consistent, and the extreme control and forgiveness encourage me to play sharper angles.

If Xiom finished sanding the edges and the handle, this would be a 10.
