Good for backhand. In my opinion, not really a forehand rubber, but still good quality and long lasting.

For me, it’s a do-it-all backhand rubber. But its real strength is the control. I played with the “R” series, and the R42 was great but very bouncy and had a quite high throw angle. The V42 has almost the same features in general, but is really better at blocking thanks to lower bounciness and throw angle compared to the “R”.

Currently, I’m playing with this rubber on my forehand and Joola Rhymz-P on my backhand, using a Joola Nature TPU blade. I think this combo is super fast!
It took me around two weeks to be able to control this killer rubber.

It plays very similarly to Victas VJ07 Stiff. The hardness is the same, but the spin and speed are different. Victas is faster and has more spin. The touch game is quite similar due to the hardness.

If you are targeting this rubber, I suggest you try the Victas VJ07 Stiff.

Assalamualaykum,

This rubber is suitable for stiff and fast playing styles. It offers good control and spin.

This rubber is super fast; I am currently using it with the DHS PG7 blade. Previously, I was using Mark V and Hurricane 3 rubbers on the PG7, and I can say that Andro Rasant V42 is significantly faster than Mark V.

I also have Aurus Prime and 5Q rubbers on the Samsonov Pro Black blade, but Andro Rasant V42 feels even faster with the PG7 blade than the 5Q does with the Samsonov blade. I have given this rating based on a comparison to Mark V.

Using 2.0mm on backhand on a Yasaka Sweden Extra blade.
Very good for launching top spin attacks, and able to generate plenty of spin on serves.
Excellent control and feeling, very consistent.
Good also for pushing and in defence, both close to table and further away.
Plenty fast enough to finish points.
Super backhand rubber.

The rubber that Adam Bobrow (in 2019) chose to use on both wings. I tried it on my Nittaku Acoustic and Andro Wanokiwami AO OFF.

The spin is similar to Vega Europe with a very slightly lower throw angle, but V42 is faster and with a thicker sponge. For lifting heavy backspin, I’d prefer a higher throw, but if you’re after a lower/medium throw angle, decent control, med/soft sponge with good speed, then it’s a solid choice.

Possibly plays a bit like Hexer+ but with a thicker sponge and thinner top sheet - more zing. However, it’s been a few years since I’ve used Hexer+, and on a different blade.

I agree with ‘Alvinspin’s’ review about it being enjoyable for smashes, and any form of well-struck top spin counters, ideally above the table as there isn’t much in the way of net clearance for below-table loops.

The top sheet is of very high quality and likely harder than say a Hexer+ top sheet, so durability shouldn’t be an issue, while the sponge seems solid enough for its duro of 42 degrees.

Excellent backhand rubber! Used on an OFF- blade, the Max 2.3 was easy to keep the ball on the table. With the right stroke, I was able to generate good power and speed on those shots. Lifting backspin was easy, and serves had plenty of spin.

Easy to play with, I really love the grip and superb speed.

Perfect Backhand Rubber

Can do blocking and backspin comfortably. It is very light rubber, so it’s easy to control. Smash is sweet.
