Donic Blue Storm Z1 Turbo for forehand on Yinhe T8s. It’s perfect for me, providing speed without losing control.

I use this rubber on my forehand on a Butterfly Balsa Carbon x5 blade. This rubber is by far the fastest I have played with. It is super hard, so the ball has quick contact with the blade (it doesn’t stick to the rubber). I would say the spin is not that good because of the hard rubber.

It is super fun to play with! I would recommend it to everyone!

Awesome rubber. I have it on both my forehand and backhand of one of the Yinhe pro blades. Even with a Yinhe blade that costs less than $50, this rubber crushes. Somehow, it simultaneously checks the boxes for speed, spin, and control.

When compared to evolution mx-p on a JUIC cabriolet-f, the Yinhe with the donic bluestorm has significantly more control, an equal amount of spin, but not quite as much speed. Still, with a quality stroke, you can generate plenty of speed to finish your opponents, even on the modest blade it’s on.

The amount of spin you can generate is lovely on serves, giving your opponents some fits. Blocks really nicely with solid control, and short touch play should be a piece of cake if you have an intermediate amount of skill to control the momentum of your arm/wrist/hand with strokes. The great number of gears this rubber has makes it an absolute gem.

The best rubber for professional players is Donic Bluestar Z1 Turbo. This blue rubber with a maximum thickness has better spin, speed, and durability than Tenergy 05. Its thickness makes this rubber comparable to any Butterfly rubber. However, I do not recommend it for beginners or slightly advanced players.

For backhands, I use Nittaku Fastarc G1, but it didn’t satisfy my needs in terms of speed and durability, although it had good control. Therefore, I decided to replace it with Donic BlueStar A1.

Greetings from the island of Brac.

Wow, here is a rubber I have missed. Quite expensive, but worth every dime. The spin (9.9) and the speed (9.8) together creates magic, fast and spinny. This is my second, have the first on a Nittaku Accoustic and the second on a Timo Boll ALC. Here, on this rubber, Nittaku Accoustic shines brightest. Far away from the table, it is marvelous.

Quality plus rubber that does everything well from power to speed to control to blocking and all in between. If your technique and skills are good, this rubber will do it for you. Nice rubber. All 10’s for this rubber.

Excellent rubber for the modern game. I use the Donic Bluestorm Z1 Turbo MAX on my forehand side, and it is a monster for spin and speed with excellent control. It has a real nice soft-like touch and feel for a harder sponge. It can be very powerful and violent when needed.

It matches up very well with Tibhar Evolution MXP-50 MAX on my backhand side, which also has a very nice soft-like touch and feel for a harder sponge that also offers accelerated speed as needed and can also be very powerful on my inner-fiber blade. I am very surprised with the control I have with this setup. I am really liking the harder sponges now.

Donic and Tibhar have created two very unique harder sponge sheets with exceptional rubber top-sheets that are meant for the modern game. No complaints as long as proper technique is practiced and then used in gameplay. German Craftsmanship at its best. 5 STAR RUBBERS.

So far, the most spinny rubber in this price range. After adjusting for the poly-ball, no rubber satisfies for serving but this one does. This rubber is recommended for skilled players only.

Price is very user-friendly, at only US$31 in Taiwan. Weight: 71.15g (17cmx17cm, 2.3mm).

Comparing Z1 Turbo 2.3mm with Tibhar Quantum X Max on the same blade:

  • Speed: Z1 Turbo is similar to Quantum X. (Quantum X speed is faster than T80.)
  • Hardness: Z1 Turbo is harder than Quantum X.
  • Spin: Z1 Turbo is similar to Quantum X.

Like Bruce Lee’s philosophy, this rubber is versatile and capable.

When paired with an off or off+ blade, it transforms into a lightning-fast attack rubber. Conversely, on an all to off- blade, it becomes a spin-generating looping machine.

Despite its speed, the sponge is soft and easy to control. Unlike sticky rubbers that rely on top sheet grip, this rubber generates grip through the sponge itself.

Easy to control, highly spinny, and fast, this mid-range priced rubber is recommended for players of all levels.

I purchased the blue Max version for my Yasaka Hasha V (jpen - 10 mm 1 ply of Hinoki) as I desired a rubber with increased bounce and speed compared to my previous green Rasanter R 48. Initially, I hesitated to select a Donic rubber due to durability concerns, as they are known for their limited lifespan. However, after reading reviews highlighting the improved durability of the Bluestorm series, I decided to give it a try.

To my satisfaction, the rubber has proven to be exceptionally durable, lasting 8 months despite intense training and approximately 6 hours of play weekly. Regarding bounciness, I am highly impressed. Thanks to its thin topsheet, any incoming ball, when blocked effectively, returns with significant power. However, proper angle is crucial to prevent the ball from flying off the table. The driving capability is excellent, accompanied by a satisfying sound when the ball strikes the hard rubber.

In terms of short game, I have not encountered any issues. The rubber performs well for soft touches and flicking, despite not being tacky. It offers a wide range of gears. Looping presented some challenges, which may be attributed either to my technique or the flexibility of my blade compared to carbon blades. My professor, who uses a cpen blade, executed flawless loops combining speed and spin, making the ball virtually unreturnable.

Nevertheless, I would not recommend this rubber for beginners, especially those prioritizing looping. Instead, stiffer blades would be more suitable for players seeking increased spin. Additionally, the throw angle is exceptionally low, and some users have expressed concern that the ball may easily return into the net. Therefore, it is more appropriate for players who prefer playing near the table, rather than at mid to long distances.

Although it initially required adjustment, after months of training, I am confident that this rubber is remarkably suited for smashers and hitters who play close to the table. It is also an excellent choice for jpen players who do not focus on looping.

So, I bought this rubber because I wanted blue color. According to all the reviews, it should be amazing rubber. In reality, the rubber is okay for backhand - good speed and good control. However, the spin is nowhere near Tenergry, Dignics, Rakza, or Chinese rubbers. It’s still an okay rubber, but nothing special.
