Composite/carbon
Mi primo lo compró en TableTennis11. Es una hoja muy bonita, lástima que estaba quebrada y TableTennis11 no se hizo cargo.
Maybe regular acoustic is rated off-, but this one is not. This one is pure offensive. No vibration and is very fast and direct. It has decent control and a large handle that is great. It is not similar to all wood acoustic, but to all other carbon blades. It offers controlled power.
Very good job, Nittaku. The handle is perfect!
Blade Review
Construction: 2 Thin Limba Outer Plies, FE Carbon Layer, Ayous Center Ply, FE Carbon Layer, 2 Thin Limba Outer Plies
This blade features a construction that effectively meets the demands of table tennis play. The outermost layers consist of two thin Limba plies, which provide a balance of flexibility and strength. Beneath these outer layers lies an FE Carbon Layer, contributing to the blade’s overall stability and power generation. At the core of the blade resides an Ayous Center Ply, renowned for its excellent feel and control. Another FE Carbon Layer is situated beneath the Ayous Center Ply, enhancing the blade’s stiffness and precision. The outermost layers once again comprise two thin Limba plies, resulting in a well-rounded performance that caters to the needs of various playing styles.
Conclusion
The combination of materials and construction in this blade provides a blend of power, control, and versatility. Its suitability extends to a wide range of players, making it a valuable choice for recreational and competitive table tennis enthusiasts alike.
Excellent blade, but I found it quite different in comparison with some of my other carbon blades. The feeling is soft, even at higher swing speeds, and the blade’s carbon layers are less apparent, so it retains an all wood feel more than any other carbon blade I’ve tried so far.
It may not feel very “crisp” or “lively” to some of you, especially those who use blades with carbon under the top veneer, or all wood blades with a hard outer layer. However, the speed is still there and I would rate this in the high off-/lower off category.
Dwell is high, control and feedback are excellent, and the effort/effect ratio would have to be the most consistent I have encountered. So far I have only tested this with Grip F/H, JP03 B/H, but due to the inner carbon and limba/limba outer plies I think this blade would benefit from harder rubbers, (47 - 50 degrees). Soft or very soft would make the blade feel mushy.
This blade would suit an offensive topspin player or even an experienced allrounder as it is not overly fast, creates great spin, and is fairly benign in nature. The only reservations I have about the Acoustic Carbon is the high price and the weight (90+ gm) which with max rubbers results in a heavy and head heavy setup.
This blade is my new favorite! It’s a top-spin placement dream machine.
Amazing blade… the best I’ve played so far. For three years, I played with the Stiga Intensity NCT, an off blade that lacked control and was too stiff for me. I then switched to an all+ blade, the Yasaka Sweden Extra, which offered excellent control, spin, and feel but lacked power and had a medium sweet spot that sometimes caused vibrations.
The Nittaku Acoustic Carbon Inner C Pen has only positives: amazing control, all the power you need, a nice feeling, perfect weight, a comfortable handle, and perfect quality. The only con is the price: 182 €, but it’s available for 146 € with TT11 Weekly special prices. This blade is a GEM.
I recently purchased the Nittaku Acoustic Carbon Inner blade, and I’m really impressed with it. It has a soft touch, but when you hit a little harder, it becomes stiffer and produces a distinct click sound. I’ve paired it with Xiom Omega V Asia rubbers, and it’s playing amazingly. I may make some slight adjustments to the wording if necessary.
This review is not for the “large handle” version. The normal version is not in the database, so feel free to move if it is created.
It is a very good blade. The build quality is high, as always with Nittaku blades. It plays like the Acoustic, but with more speed when hitting hard. The carbon effect is easy to control, and it only kicks in when you hit really hard.
It is perfect for a looper who needs to have some extra force to compensate for the speed of the poly ball. It still has the same feeling as the Nittaku Acoustic and complete control. So it is not comparable with most carbon blades that have bad control and super speed. It is the best blade for me right now.
