High-quality offensive wood. This is where Andro started to make the transition to a premium quality brand. It’s a pity that it is no longer produced in this form.

I don’t understand how this blade can have a soft and flexy feeling. Mine is 83g, hard and stiff. I didn’t play a Schlager Carbon, but I can’t imagine something much harder and stiffer than this thing.

I used to play a Viscaria with the same weight, also a Vega Europe blade, and both are a lot softer and more flexy. I also have a Donic Waldner Black Devil, and the Treiber Z comes close in terms of hardness and flex.

But I can imagine how people say it has a lot of control and gears. Slow, spinny loops are even easier with the Z than with the Viscaria on the forehand with Chinese rubber. On the backhand, opening isn’t that easy, and short serves require a good technique.

I can’t go full swing because the balls get too long then. This requires more adjustment coming from the Viscaria with similar Chinese rubber.

I think I will keep the blade and try it again in one or two years when hopefully my skills are better. For now, I will stay with the Viscaria.

With Rakza Z on FH and Xiom vega Europe on BH, it is comfortable to play with.

Table tennis blades are like muscles. The more weight, the more power it can generate. Slightly adjust your technique if needed to account for the increased weight.

Great feeling and control, fast, and very well balanced.

#6 — December 2019

Nice blade. Mine is 90gr. For the forehand, I use Rasanter R42, and for the backhand, I use R37. Chopping is easy, and blocking is practically automatic. Countering topspin hits is very good. The blade’s speed is just above average, but it has very good control. Update: I found that it had better control than Treiber FO OFF/S. However, the new handle is bigger, which makes it less comfortable for me.

#7 — April 2019

I have owned the Treiber Z for 10 months, pairing it with Rakza7 for forehand and Rasanter R42 for backhand. This combination perfectly complements my playing style. To optimize the blade’s abilities, I recommend using medium-hard to hard rubbers with medium to high stickiness (rated 3 or higher).

The Treiber Z strikes an ideal balance among weight, speed, control, and spin. Its exceptionally large sweet spot helps minimize mistakes and increases the likelihood of landing the ball on the table. I anticipate using this blade for the long term due to its exceptional qualities.

Review for Table Tennis Blade

This blade is a great alternative to the Stiga Timoboll ALC. It offers exceptional bounce and speed. However, it may require slight adjustments to the playing technique to fully harness its potential.

#9 — August 2018

The blade has a good finish and allows for versatile playstyles. It is reasonably priced.

#10 — August 2018

The FL handle looks almost identical to the Timo Boll Spirit, and the head is identical. However, it is thicker.

I tried a few shots with Hexter+2.1 max. The speed is off = 8.8 on my ratings. The throw angle is low, and it has a soft feel. The best thing is the control for high-speed shots.

The blade is nice and worth trying.

Work of art. Hinoki + ZLC makes for a great composition. I use it with Rasant (red) and Rasant Beat (black). I love the combo. It’s fast but not super fast. When you want to play touch shots, it is very controllable. Once you hit hard, the speed is astonishing. The control is out of this world. I can’t imagine how they designed such a blade. Super accurate, great spin on my shots, looping is great, kills are great, side-spin shots are always monstrous and thus missed by the opponent with an embarrassing smile.

Update (8 March 2018) - feels even more amazing now, as I have used many blades. Huge sweet spot. The feel of the blade is good, but less feel than a wooden acoustic… no bad vibrations at all. The handle is great. Sweaty palms? No problem… it doesn’t slip. Throw angle is low, soft feel, high control. Great for looping + magical power away from the table. Blocking = nothing special… (…Nittaku acoustic is awesome in blocking). Rubbers still working after 1+ years…

Beautiful Blade!

I’ve got mine for sale if someone needs it.

#13 — January 2018

This is a very affordable blade for those interested in trying ZLC, but turned off by the high price. The Treiber Z’s playing characteristics are very similar to that of the Z. Jike ZLC. The Andro blade is one gear slower, which is a blessing for me.

Pushes and serves are very controllable with this blade. Looping is nice, especially away from the table. Blocking took a little getting used to, as the hinoki top ply absorbs a lot of the speed. That and I am used to playing with a more flexible blade that needed a soft grip to keep a good block on the table. Treiber Z didn’t warrant such a soft grip, but a soft grip when pushing can yield some double and triple bounces.

The touch of Perfection! Masterpiece from Andro!

You can feel the power right from the first hit itself. And boy, what a spin it can generate!

#15 — December 2017

I have tried many blades before, but ultimately there are only two that felt truly special to me.

The first was Butterfly Innerforce ZLC, and this Andro gem is the second one.

I guess it depends on your personal preference (hinoki or limba) when it comes to the feel of the blade. However, when it comes to the speed/control ratio, there can only be one choice: Andro Treiber Z.

#16 — December 2017

I am fascinated by the truly unique ratio of speed and control (9.2/9.6). It’s a relatively heavier blade, but I still love it. When paired with Yasaka Rising Dragon rubbers, it becomes a veritable katana.

I purchased the Andro Trieber Z after reading the many positive reviews, but it turned out to be a disappointment. It may be a suitable blade for advanced players, or I may have received a faulty one.

As an intermediate player, my technique is not impeccable. However, this blade proved to be extremely unforgiving. It has a small sweet spot, and shots that do not land within this area will result in a weak return. Even when the ball makes contact with the sweet spot, it can exhibit excessive catapult effect, making it difficult to keep the ball on the table.

I attempted to improve the blade’s controllability by trying various rubbers, both soft and hard. Unfortunately, none of them had a significant impact.

This blade, when paired with a fast offensive rubber, is an absolute monster. I paired this blade with Palio AK47 Red on FH and Tenergy 05 FX on BH. This combination is something I truly cherish. I can do anything with this blade. Forehand loops and drives are a breeze, with plenty of speed and punch from the spin generated. BH loops feel very comfortable, and I feel confident that the ball will land in every time I hit it.

Although it’s a fast composite blade, there’s still enough control for me. The Hinoki veneers add to the control, while the composite material provides the punch. If I miss a ball, I know it’s my fault and not the blade or rubber. This blade has been an eye-opener.

I got it for 68 euros from TableTennis11 at a discount, which was a steal. If this blade had been made by Butterfly instead of Andro, I’m sure it would be in the 180-200 euro range. Just try it with a fast rubber, and you won’t want to try anything else.

#19 — June 2017

This is a great blade, especially when paired with Acuda Blue P2 on both the forehand and backhand.

#20 — March 2017

I highly recommend this blade. It’s incredibly versatile, allowing you to execute a wide range of techniques with ease. From topspin and sidespin to lifting backspin, looping, and counter topspin, it handles everything effortlessly. Pushing, chopping, and flat hitting are also a breeze with this blade.

#21 — March 2017

Amazing blade!!! Excellent build quality, with a crisp and lively feel. It provides great control and spin, making it suitable for various playstyles. The blade is well-balanced, offering both power and precision. It is a fast blade, allowing for quick reflexes and powerful shots. However, it may be too fast for beginners who prefer more control. Overall, this blade is an excellent choice for advanced players seeking speed and spin.

#22 — March 2017

I’ve owned and played with several blades until now. It took five minutes of ball exchange with my teammate’s Treiber Z blade to realize there is something unique to it and got myself one right away.

Treiber Z is very fast (off towards off+) yet not at all uncontrollable. Services, receives, short play, pushes, blocks, smashes, topspins, loops you name it, can all be performed with a vast amount of control. Careful, beginners will find it too fast. One must have some experience to take advantage of its values.

Mine weighs 87 gr and is a bit head heavy. The sweet spot is huge; it is very stable and has a crisp feel. The throw angle is quite low so it has to be paired with rubbers that have above medium throw to play with comfort over the net. The medium-distance game is effortless as long as you adjust the angles.

Dwell time is minimum at flat contacts (blocks, drives, and smashes) so even passive shots put pressure on your opponent, but it is prolonged during angle shots which helps to control and spin creation. I suggest the use of medium to soft rubbers to help short dwell and add even more control.

Andro has done a good job combining hinoki outer plies with the “artificial fiber” underneath which is dark blue and does not resemble zylon that is supposed to have a gold color. Overall, it is the best offensive blade I’ve ever played, with an astonishing speed/control ratio.

#23 — February 2017

Super solid blade, with no vibrations but with awesome feel/touch and deep sound that the hinoki/fiber (or hinoki/carbon) combo produces. It has a medium-low throw, is very consistent and controllable with sufficient speed for counter hits and even passive shots away from the table. It’s faster than other OFF+ rated blades I’ve used, although it’s rated OFF.

The handle is a bit thinner than the other Andro blade I have, which is perfect, but still ok, as there are smaller ones in other blades.

Mine is a very comfortable anatomic handle with good quality. It weighs 90g & measures 6.8mm thick. It’s one of the thickest 7-ply composite blades excluding balsa cores, and has a thin top layer of kiso hinoki. The manufacturer did not specify exactly what the “Z fiber” is, but some said it’s zylon. However, the feeling I get is more like fiberglass. It has a very mild but crispy feel with very little vibration; I could play for hours without feeling tired.

I have FH Nittaku S1(2.0B) + BH MarkV HPS (2.0R)=178.5g; a well matching rubber combo. The Razka 7 on the backhand was heavier, stiffer & didn’t play as well, but changing to Mark V HPS improved it significantly.

It’s pretty fast but not as fast as Strato, which is not a bad thing. Strato also produces more spin and loops better. However, this blade has superior control especially in the short game (comparing to similar speed blades), push/chop, short serves, blocking & flat hitting. The sweetspot is huge and produces even return when hitting off center, which makes blocking smashes really awesome.

You can play both defensively or offensively. This is a blade that can do all tricks. I’ve been using it for >a month & I find my game is better using this blade.

Here is my rating: Speed=9.4; Control=9.5; Sweetspot=huge; Stiffness=8(thick 7 ply); Hardness=5; Feel=great(very mild but clear); Balance=average; Spin=8.5; Short Game=very good; Mid game=very good; Flicks=easy; Push/Chop=excellent; Loop=good; Flat hit/Block/Punch=excellent; Serves=good; Throw=med low; Dwell=avg; Consistency=10; Overall=9.6.

Very nice, very consistent OFF blade. Not extremely fast, but very good and solid on any offensive strokes. It is quite thick therefore - perfect in blocking. I’ve rated it high in ‘control’ because it is very predictable and gives you a good feedback. Currently my competition’s blade with Rasant Grip rubbers (2.1mm FH and 1.9mm BH).

#26 — October 2015

Best blade I ever used. It’s a nice product from Andro. Before this, I used Andro Temper Tech OFF+, which is also a good blade. But this one is amazing. It has very good control. The speed is also good. It’s the best blade I’ve ever had. I pair it with Victas VS 402 Limber (FH), Victas VO 101 SP (BH). It’s worth buying, and you won’t regret it. Truly an awesome blade.

This blade excels in control while maintaining a commendable level of speed. Having played with DHS Hurricane 3 National on both forehand and backhand, I can confidently attest that this blade offers unparalleled control. Compared to other blades I’ve used, this one stands out with its exceptional precision.

Sorry for the double post.

This is my fourth blade, after trying the 729, Hypertouch, Emerald VPS, and now this one. I had initially underestimated this blade and planned to use it for recreational play in my office, so I ordered it from TableTennis11 since it was not available in my country.

During my first hour of practice with the blade, I found it to be too fast for my style. However, once I started playing real games with my friends, I fell in love with it. It provided me with both the speed and control I wanted, even exceeding my expectations. I paired it with Rasant Turbo and JP01 Turbo rubbers.

Compared to my previous setup (Emerald VPS with Tenergy 05 and Vega Japan), this blade generated even more spin on serves and open loops. It has quickly become my favorite blade and I enjoy playing with it immensely.

There could be only one - and I have found it! With top of the line German engineering and craftsmanship, I can’t help but admire how good-looking this blade is. It is so classy yet simple and elegant, combining both a strong and understated beauty, very much like the classic lines of the most sporty yet luxurious Mercedes-Benz AMG GT sports car!

I first stumbled upon the previous and slower version of this blade, the Andro Kinetic Supreme Zylon/Kiso Hinoki OFF-. I couldn’t find it anywhere online, so I contacted MegaSpin and found out that it was already discontinued, and the newer, faster version was the Andro Treiber Z.

At first, I was hesitant to purchase this blade because it’s rated as speed: 96 and control: 97. I thought it was marketing hype. But after trying it out, I noticed that it absolutely deserves all its accolades! The proof is in the pudding, as they say, and it shows in the games you’ll keep winning once you pick this up.

Paired with the Rasant Grip 2.1, I think it provides the absolute in flexibility and the best of all worlds. It does everything well: close to the table attacks (blocks, flicks, and smashing), mid-distance chopping, forehand and backhand topspin, long-distance looping, and counter topspin. And of course, CONTROL! What is a fast shot if it doesn’t land or, worse, is timed incorrectly? This combination does it all!

Finally, please note that when ordering, it’s a top/head-heavy blade when combined with Andro Rubbers. The Rasant Grip is ranked #1 for Spin in Table Tennis Data Base dot com, and part of that is the tackiness of the tensor rubber and its weight. The Rasant Grip is not as heavy as a DHS Chinese Rubber, but I believe you get so much more quality and durability with the Andro rubbers. Plus, it smells good and looks badass with the neon green sponge. Again, you can give credit to those crazy Germans lol ;) Good luck with your search, and always play for fun, health, and friendship!

Probably one of the best blades in the world. Whether you play very fast or slowly, everything is possible with the Treiber Z. I played with a Viscaria (old model) for more than 15 years, but I fell in love with the Treiber Z. It has all the best qualities of the Viscaria but none of the drawbacks. The Treiber has total control like a defense blade, but its speed is also very fast. It’s certainly not the fastest blade, but it’s still extremely quick. Just two words: buy it.

This is an almost perfect blade. Ergonomically it is the best blade I’ve ever used in terms of handle feel, sweet spot, weight, speed, and vibration. The handle is FL, but it almost feels like an ST handle. Some people have said the handle is too small, but I put grip tape on it, so it’s perfect for me. When paired with Tenergy on one side and medium rubber on the other, it is the best weapon. The feeling is the best; it balances speed and vibration perfectly. The only drawback is that it is sometimes inconsistent. It’s too bad that they don’t produce this blade anymore.
