What an amazing 5 wood blade we have here!
I always played with many Stiga blades: Classic Allround (for start), Stiga WRB, Stiga Offensif Classic, Stiga Infinity VPS, Emerald VPS (too Hard and Stiff), and Stiga Nostalgic All and Off for my last main blade. The Wenge wood gave a bit too hard touch with the Off and the All one was a little too slow without enough power in strokes, so I decided to come back with the Infinity.
Great blade for training my stroke and spin. Backhand flicking is easy, blocking is accurate. Using Mark V combo, they are great partners.
Similar quality with Tibhar Nimbus All, but faster…great allwood blade for allround attacking.
Update July 2019, after paired it with GoldArc 8 max (FH) and MX-S med (BH), the blade shows its true strength. Looping and counter looping are precised and powerful. Touch near the net is controlled. Top spin is lethal…
This is my second blade for training my strokes. It provides good speed and control, especially near and mid-table. I use it with Mark V rubbers, and they work great together. Smashes and fast shots are easy to execute while still maintaining good control. It is also a suitable blade for practicing backhand flicks and topspins. Blocking shots are also accurate. Overall, it is an excellent blade for all-around attackers.
Excellent Off-, this is my competitive blade. It is set up with Vega Tour on the forehand and Evolution FXP for the backhand. The blade seems to be middle of the line in most points. It has the same composition as other classic Off- blades, Limba-Spruce-Ayous, and is finished with the Nittaku quality.
I hear people say that the Nittaku Glaze does well with this blade. Though that may be the case for the Glaze, it is not for this blade. I used the Glaze on this blade and was left dissatisfied.
Use the Tibhar Evolution MP-X. That gives you a great merge of rubber and blade.
Pros: Fast, good for looping, and good price.
Cons: Small sweet spot, and a little heavy.
If you’re a fan of 5-ply all-wood blades, this blade is worth considering. I find it superior to the Acoustic blade due to its firmer feel, which enhances topspin performance. While it offers a decent amount of speed, it’s not overly fast. The handle is also longer, which I appreciate.
The best blade I have ever played with. It offers very high control and dwell. When paired with the Yasaka Rising Dragon, it becomes very easy to loop and produce a lot of spin. It also performs well for smashes and provides consistent blocks. Its high quality and affordability make it an excellent choice.
The Nittaku Acoustic blade offers good speed for looping, but it is relatively slow for flat hitting. It is an exquisitely crafted product by Nittaku and is priced lower than the Acoustic and Tenor blades. However, it possesses nearly identical characteristics. Pairing this blade with the Nittaku Galze and Magic Carbon rubbers is recommended. Its primary strength lies in its exceptional control and precise ball placement. In two months, I intend to upgrade my rubber setup from all-plus to offensive. Overall, this is an excellent blade with a superb finish.
This blade is suitable for all-around offensive players. It offers both good speed and excellent control, making it ideal for short to mid-distance play. For long-distance shots, you may need to exert more power than usual.
In terms of feel, this blade is comparable to the Stiga Clipper Wood CR or Avx P700, despite having only 5-ply woods, while the Clipper and P700 have 7-ply woods.
If you prioritize control in a wood blade, I highly recommend this option. However, if you prefer more speed, the Clipper and P700 might be better choices.
Personally, I have opted for this blade due to its balanced performance and suitability for my playing style.
Excellent blade in the OFF- category. Has the excellent Nittaku quality, great playing characteristics, and a handle that people over 5 feet tall can actually use. With the right rubbers, this blade is great for intermediate to high level players.
The Xiom Offensive S is a carbon blade with a hinoki outer layer. It is a 5-ply blade that is designed for offensive play. The blade is stiff and provides good control and power. It is also relatively light, which makes it easy to handle. The Xiom Offensive S is a good choice for players who want a blade that is both powerful and controllable.

This is an excellent blade, well-made, perfect for close-to-the-table play and long pips.
Mine is light, as I requested. Consequently, it has a lower arc and plays almost like balsa. Really good for close-to-table play. If you are a looper, go for a heavier example as mine is 78g, very light for a Latika. Very nice blade, excellent for pips players.
Light, well-balanced offensive blade with an all-wood character. It produces more than enough power.
Review text:
Normal blade. I expected something better from Nittaku. All shots are performed regularly. For me, a blade suitable for those who want to start with this sport.
Хороший мягкий отскок с отличным контролем.
No weaknesses. Very good speed, beautiful control, and feeling. With good technique, this blade will do what you want. So much power in the fast game and so much control in the short game. And it doesn’t lack power from mid-distance. Choose the right rubber, and you will love this blade. Everybody should try it. But don’t forget to seal your blade because the top veneer is really thin. Overall, one of the best blades I have ever played. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR BEGINNERS.
Super quality as usual from Nittaku. Large head size 158x152mm. Hard and fast compared to a woody blade.
It is absolutely the same as Kasumi Basic; the only difference is that Latika is 2 mm longer. It has an ideal mix of power and control.
For players of medium level, this is simply a find. Suitable for both defensive and offensive play. Good control base for development and work on technique. Excellent execution quality.
This blade is timeless. I work as a table tennis instructor. We bought this blade for four versatile players. The result is stunning. It suited everyone. An ideal foundation for mastering techniques at high speeds. Excellent control and ball feel. With Donic Acuda S1 rubbers, it’s just fantastic. Pleasant balance “in the head” of the racket. Thank you tt11, you guys are the best. :))) From all fans in Samara.
The blade is perfectly made, the ST handle is fairly long, very comfortable, and feels somewhat velvety. Speed - Normal OFF, similar to the Japanese Korbel, but a little softer. Weight of my copy - 81 gr. I recommend! Special thanks to the team at tabletennis11 for their efficiency and cool racket assembly.
This table tennis blade is highly recommended for players who wants to improve their speed and control. The lightweight design makes it easy to handle and maneuver. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and have noticed a significant difference in my gameplay. Overall, I am very satisfied with this blade and would definitely recommend it to others.
Good quality blade!
In my opinion, this blade is very good for looping.
It has a nice touch, and I also like the slight vibrations. It is as if it were alive.
I play it with Nittaku Magic Carbon on both sides to develop my strokes properly.
The blade I got was only 83 grams. Very nice finish. Has a good feeling and is a little bit softer and slower than Butterfly Timo Boll ALC. But just a little. Very good for all-wood blade!
Great blade with Chinese rubber. Predictable control with enough power for mid-distance. Nothing flashy but really gets the job done.
I have been using this blade for over a month now, and I have to say, it is great for everything. You will immediately feel the quality of the blade. Recommended.
There is a good quality-price relation. I used Thibar Stratus Power Wood, which is a good wood, but I like Latika better because it is slightly stiffer and good for flat shots. I combine it with hard DHS rubbers and I am satisfied. For an intermediate level, they are very good.
Very good control compared with Tibhar Samsonov Premium Contact.
This blade helps beginners improve.
A little heavy, though.
Got this blade as part of the weekly specials at a great price. The ST handle is a bit thin for my hand so I am using grip tape. Using MX-P on one side and Juic Couga on the other. The blade feels great and is helping my game improve.
Got this Nittaku Latika Blade to compare with my other ones in my collection. Fit and finish are quite good with a bit longer handle. It shows Japanese quality all over, more like the Butterfly blades. Put a Tenergy 64 2mm black for my forehand and Xiom Vega Pro 2mm on my backhand. This feels like my other Japanese blade with enough spin, speed, and power if you use the correct technique. Has some vibrations which I like since it makes me feel I am in contact with the ball when doing my power shots or when pushing and lobbing. Highly recommended and a 5-star for me. You can’t go wrong with the Latika.
First of all, its handle diameter is quite small and it is perfect for my hand. Second, it is an ALL+ / OFF- blade with no vibration and not too heavy; its power is good and control is very good. Finally, its quality is very high (like all Nittaku blades) and the price is very affordable.
This blade is surprisingly fast for a 5-ply pure wood blade. It has some flex, but not too flexible so it’s good for looping, but also good for smashing Blocks and pushes are very good. The quality of the build is excellent, just like other Nittaku blades. It has a good feeling with some vibrations. It’s the perfect, cheaper alternative to the Nittaku Acoustic.
I’m delighted with the comfort of the handle.
Very similar feeling to Acoustic, but the head size and handle are both bigger.
The Nittaku Latika was my second purchase from TT11. I wanted to try a Nittaku all-wood blade but didn’t want to splurge on an Acoustic just yet. Eventually, I did. The Latika is very similar to the Acoustic. It is a tad bit harder, which makes looping and blocking fantastic. The handle is nice and long and fits perfectly in my hand. I love its control while still having enough power to finish a point. Just like all blades, the rubbers need to coherently fit with the blade’s profile. For me, that is the Evolution MX-P and FX-P. Together with the Latika, I remember why I love TT so much. However, I do prefer the Nittaku Acoustic. The Latika is a worthy purchase just the same. Highly recommended.
TT11, as always, provided a top-notch customer experience. From their recommendation, to the perfect build and the efficient free shipping.
I bought this blade with Nittaku Flyatt Soft on BH and Nittaku Flyatt Hard on FH. Previously I’ve owned Tibhar Balsa Fibre OFF 60 with EL-P on both sides, so I’ll try to compare this blade just with my previous setup. It’s a good and controllable blade. Slower than Tibhar that I had before, and honestly, the combination of rubber I chose was not good. While Flyatt Hard was pretty good when I played it on BH and FH, Flyatt Soft was hard to control, and I needed to make a lot of adjustments to get my shots to land on the table or go over the net. Actually, I just switched to playing soft on FH and hard on BH. Such a setup gave me a better control on both sides and very spinny FH loops. I would say this blade is good for Allround style of play with good ball feeling and little vibrations.
Quality is exceptional. As usual, Nittaku handle is narrow. The balance is moderate towards the head. Top layer is limba.
