Didn’t like this one. Too slow and not enough spin.

#2 — October 2017

Good for FH. It is very spinny, with good control. Looping with this rubber is also very good.

#3 — February 2016

Same spin as P7, FastArc G-1, T05, but faster with lower throw. Less bouncy and more controllable in blocks and rallies.

I tested this rubber as FH and BH on Tenor, Violin, Acoustic, Acoustic Carbon, 7P2A, Extra Offensive, Ludeack, and TB ALC blades. As FH only on Excellent A, Extra Special, P500, Ludeack Fleet, Offensive S, and Joo Se Hyuk blades.

It performs well on all these blades, especially when paired with stiffer blades.

Recently, I acquired a Viscaria black tag and applied this rubber on the forehand. The combination is outstanding!

I’ve purchased another pair to replace the Asia on my FH and the Rakza 7 on my BH. Compared to the Rakza 7, it has less bounce, more grip, and a lower throw.

Note that this rubber requires about a week to break in. Afterward, the topsheet becomes very soft. It works effectively with plastic balls without the need for technique adjustments.

This rubber is one I often return to. It blocks amazingly with speed. The speed is incredible when powerlooping or drive looping, as the hard sponge engages with speed. In this way, it feels like Tenergy 64.

However, the grip is amazing on the top sheet, and the spin is immense. For slow spinny loops and brush looping, this rubber feels like Tenergy 05.

I play Modern Defense, and this rubber excels in distance pushing (not quite a chop). I often get netted balls due to the underspin. Full swing chops take more care due to the grip and speed. But once you get used to it, the underspin is nuts.

My favorite stroke with this rubber is the distance guiding topspin (not quite a loop, but more of a guiding distance block). Watch Filus or Gionis play, and you’ll see they do this stroke often. The control on this stroke is why I choose this rubber over Tenergy 05 or 64.

To summarize, if Tenergy 05 and 64 had a baby, it would be this rubber, but with more control and less weight.

I have played with Omega IV Asia for two years, as well as the IV Euro and V Tour versions.

Among the Omega series, this one has the hardest sponge. It also seems to be the fastest when hit at full power. I am unable to bottom it out, except when smashing with full body power.

For slow pushes and blocks, it plays slowly as well, with almost no catapult effect, making it very controllable.

Regarding spin, it performs about the same as other Omega versions, making it very good for spinny serves.

It is less forgiving than softer Omega rubbers due to its hard sponge. The rubber responds precisely to my input, allowing me to fully rely on its performance.

Don’t get hyped about this. Don’t get me wrong, this is good rubber. However, if you are a spin fan, this is not the way to go. Also, I don’t like the throw.

Very good rubber.

This rubber is very good. It is very grippy and has a lot of control. It is also very durable and lasts a long time. I would highly recommend this rubber to anyone looking for a good all-around rubber.

One of the best rubbers out there. Yet, I believe it is very under-rated. It is great for RPB (Reverse Pimples Block). It keeps the ball low and has great spin while also maintaining good speed. Much better than the O4Euro. Also, it is a tensor rubber, I don’t know why it is marked as not one.

I tried this rubber for my backhand on the Xiom Haybusa Zxi blade.

The rubber is slightly tacky and does not have the catapult effect like my previous Andro Plasma 470.

When you do a topspin attack, the ball tends to skid on the table after the bounce. This means it does not bounce up as much, which makes it harder for the opponent.

This is a Tensor rubber, I don’t know why it’s listed as not. Of all the rubbers I’ve tried, this is as close to Ten 05 as I have found. I use it on a Timo Spirit in max. It is a heavy rubber in the same weight as Ten 05, 73 grams on the max I got uncut. Of all the Xiom rubbers, I like this the best. I don’t know why it’s not a popular rubber!

I have used a Omega IV Asia on my backhand for three months. Since I use a Hinoki Shake Swift, which is a medium blade, I found its sponge to be too soft. I could block and do soft loops very well, but it isn’t a good choice for more aggressive backhands.

A very good BH rubber.
It is spinny and low-throw.

#13 — May 2012

Good rubber. It is fast and provides good spin with a mid to low throw angle. Despite its speed, it offers much control.

I bought Xiom Omega IV Asian to replace my Yasaka Rakza 7. It’s a pretty good rubber with regard to speed, spin, and control. My setup is a Nittaku G-Carbon blade, Tenergy 05 red on my forehand, and Xiom Omega IV Asia Black on my backhand.

Although Xiom claims that the Asia version has a very hard sponge, I found it not very hard compared to Tenergy 05, perhaps a little bit softer. But when you play with the Tenergy 05 and Xiom Omega VI Asia, they are almost identical. However, Tenergy 05 can produce more spin than Xiom.

The best point about this rubber is the ease of doing backhand drives with a pleasing click sound. It could be a good replacement for Tenergy 05 since it’s $23 cheaper and the performance is the same. I would say it’s identical. It has a carbo sponge similar to the sponge used for Tenergy.

In summary, if you were going to buy a new setup, I would recommend using Xiom if you like the feel of Tenergy 05.

Xiom is one of the best rubbers in the world. I have tried many rubbers, and Xiom is amazing. It has great speed and qualities. It is a great choice for professional table tennis players.

#16 — August 2011

It is quite a fast rubber.

When you loop, you must cover the ball at the right angle to catapult the ball with the desired speed you want.

#17 — May 2011

I use it on my backhand, and it provides me with better blocking and rallies.

#18 — January 2011

I love this rubber. It’s good for speed, and I can loop very well. The control is also good because I always hit back to the table.

After playing with OMEGA IV Pro and Asia, I became a fan of Xiom rubber. It has an amazing quality of topsheet, providing very high spin and sufficient speed for an all-in attacker. It’s suitable for near-to-table play but can serve well at mid distance as well. Compared to the Pro version, it’s somewhat slower and less bouncy, but it allows a bit more control.

#20 — Long Time Ago...

Good rubber, but not excellent. It is quite tacky, reminding me of Dignics 09c, but a little faster and less tacky, which is better for me. It is quite hard but not that fast due to its tackiness. It has very high control, suitable for players who prefer longer dwell time due to its tackiness. It is not a fast rubber, definitely slower and more controllable than Rasanter R45. It has a medium throw. It needs to be cleaned more often than usual because it tends to stick a lot of dust. The black version in 2 mm weighs about 45 grams when cut on a standard blade.
