All-wood
9.8 - Very good blade, excellent control, speed, and consistency.
For almost 2 years, I have been using this blade. After previously using JM Super ZLC, Nittaku BF, Freitas, and many more, this blade stole my attention with a classic Japanese appearance. It has an extraordinary character where the speed is quite fast. Spin is a nightmare for opponents. I really like the controls, especially for my game. Playing at a distance of 1 to 2 meters from the table is the strongest position. The block is very stable.
For rubber, I am using Dignic 09c for FH and Andro R53 for BH. Now, I am again trying Yasaka Rakza Z Hard. I think it is more suitable. I experimented with semi-sticky rubber with a hard sponge. I tried it at the base of the handle and smoothed it like it was a 3D handle (like the handle of the Ligna Series). The result is amazing. The grip is very comfortable to hold. Maybe this is my last weapon, and I will always carry it. It is truly amazing. Thank you Andro.
This blade is excellent. A young boy in the club uses it, and I tried it out. I was impressed by what could be done with a blade made of pure wood. It offers excellent speed and allows the user to put great spin on the ball. Serves are easy to execute. This blade is not well-known, but its quality is exceptional and rivals that of other brands.
One week ago, I started using Andro Wanokiwami Ren (81 grams), thanks to my wife and daughters for my birthday present. Previously, I used DHS HL 5. I felt something in common, but AWR was more obedient. For what I want, this blade will be able to do well.
I paired DHS H3N Prov BS on FH and Rasanter V42 on BH to get a total weight of 170 grams.
AWR is an extraordinary wooden craft without using composite materials. Spin, speed, control, and shifting FH/BH are incredible, fantastic blocking, a deadly smash even if the ball’s position is low, super fast blade that exceeds my collection of Carbonado, DHS HL5, BTY Boll Tricarbon.
Amazing topspin because of dwell and throw from this blade is really great. Almost no one blade can surpass IMO. I agree on revspin which put AWR in the top position.
I praise and respect Wanaka San for his outstanding work. Thank you, Andro.
Complete beauty, showcasing the blade’s exceptional craftsmanship.
Powerful for attack, it offers precise control, a perfect combination for dynamic gameplay. Rated an impressive 10/10.
- Pure class blade. — 7-plywood typical Andro style, fast attack and control are noteworthy. -
Weight: 82 grams Lacquered: 83 Played with R50 2.0 on both sides. Didn’t like R50 on the forehand, way too fast for dwell time. Tried Skyline 2 Neo, which was a bit slow and had a lower throw. Tried Skyline 2 Provincial Blue 40’. Best combo of control, spin, and speed. Rasanter 50 on the backhand maintained an off-tempo even when defending, making others under pressure even when you’re not attacking. Looping was easy and the gears are massive between soft and spinny to fast and flat or spinny. Power is there and can make you shoot off the table due to the inherent bounce. Speed: 9.6 Spin: 9.8 with options for low spin or high spin blocks, loops, and counters. Loops: 10/10 Drives: 9.0/10 Counters: 9.5/10 Short game: 9.25/10 Control: 9.5 with certain rubber combos. You don’t need high-speed rubbers to get the speed. So this blade harmonizes the ability for spinny rubbers while imparting a strong power/speed and rotation together. Very easy to loop and counter. Blocks can be difficult based on angle since it’s got power even when you’re trying to be soft and there is a spinnier opponent without less power. A better feeling and stronger version of Hurricane Long 3. It makes a tremendous arc option and can wait for a ball to drop and can still load up with power this giving time. High or low arc options are available but tend to go higher on slower shots and lower on faster shots, thus making it difficult for opponents to handle. Good blade and much better than Long 5, Long 3, and Nobilis. Less stiff than Nobilis or JMSZLC and similar to regular JMZLC in arc and spin but faster and with a better feeling and blocking.
This blade is a spin-generating machine. Its unique construction, featuring a combination of limba and hinoki wood, provides exceptional feel and control, allowing players to execute spin-heavy shots with precision.
The limba outer ply offers a crisp, responsive feel, while the hinoki core provides a soft, elastic touch. This combination enhances dwell time on the ball, allowing players to impart maximum spin on their shots.
The blade is well-balanced, with a comfortable grip that enhances control. Its medium weight and stiffness make it suitable for players of all skill levels, from intermediate to advanced.
Whether you’re looking to dominate with spinny loops or unleash devastating counter-attacks, the Spin Monster Blade is a formidable weapon that will elevate your game to the next level.
I glued Joola Dinariz CMD on both sides and didn’t like it very much.
The blade itself is made with a very comfortable handle.
Quality craftsmanship makes this blade feel great to hold, and it is well-balanced.
It’s a fast blade, but with great control.
You can generate a ton of spin with this blade.
I still have it without gluing the rubbers. It’s beautiful; its wood and craftsmanship stand out.
Excellent, high-quality blade. Handmade in Japan.
High-quality manufacturing makes this a lightweight paddle with a large sweet spot. It excels in speed with seven layers of wood so well assembled that they provide high rigidity.
However, it also offers very high control since it doesn’t have carbon layers or other synthetic materials. Blocking is fast, controlled, and very easy to do.
You can smash with placement wherever you want, and it is easy to generate a lot of spin on serves and topspin. It is also possible to chop with great consistency. It surpasses very fast paddles that do not have this control.
It’s a pleasure to play effortlessly with an inner smile with AWR and see the discomfort of the opponent who puts in a lot of effort without getting great results. This paddle is highly recommended and I believe it is at the highest level of manufacturing and technical performance. Congratulations to Andro.
Not significantly faster than the AO, but noticeably crisper. It generates slightly less spin and isn’t particularly fast.
It performs solidly in off- game situations. I paired it with a Genesis M on the forehand, but it lacked sufficient speed. On the backhand, I used an ELS, which proved to be a good match.
The blade weighs 83 grams and has a lacquered finish. I’ve tested it with various rubbers, including C53, C48, R42, R50, Rigan Spin, G-1, Hammond Z2, and Chinese Skyline and Hurricane rubbers.
This blade exhibits more flex and kick than I initially anticipated. It’s well-constructed, but it seems to “bottom out” when used with softer rubbers. It produces a satisfying crack sound upon hard impact.
Looping is relatively easy, and the blade rewards players with quick, spinny shots. It only provided sufficient dwell time when paired with Chinese rubbers. Other tensor rubbers felt excessively bouncy to allow for aggressive play, unless brushing only.
The short game and blocking are decent. The blade performs well with looping, punching, and sidespin techniques.
It’s not as stiff as I had hoped. While quite fast, it seems to lack the necessary “power” to hit directly through opponents. I recommend using harder sponge rubbers with medium throw characteristics. I’m still experimenting to determine the optimal rubber combination for this blade.
