The feeling of the rubber is not quite as hard as 47 degrees, but rather closer to 42-43 degrees. The throw angle is medium. It is a good rubber, but it is not suitable for my preferences.

This remarkable forehand rubber is a must-try for table tennis enthusiasts. It boasts exceptional spin capabilities, ensuring that every shot carries the desired rotation and precision.

I am a Moroccan table tennis player who has played for over 8 years and I have been playing with this blade for 3 years.
My conclusion is that the Andro Rasanter R47 rubber is great for attacks near the table and mid-range. It provides a lot of control and spin, ensures all shots are safe and allows for all types of serves.

I used R47, FH on a ZLC Hinoki, Stuor CPH blade. I think it is fair to compare this R47 to R50 & V42 that I used recently.

R50 was fast, spiny & aggressive, a real offensive rubber compared to R47, which is a bit lower in every aspect. Most of all is in durability, definitely not as good as R50. I used the R47 for about 2 months & 8-10 hrs/week, it showed signs of wearing already unlike the R50. The V42 is again slower in every department but is really light in weight.

Boosting works really well for this rubber. It provides a very fast speed. The rubber excels in serves and offers a “controlled catapult effect”. The thinner topsheet enhances the feel of the ball. However, without boosting, the arc is very low making it difficult to lift underspin.

If one is willing to boost the rubber every week and reglue it, it is doubtful that a better rubber could be found.

Sweet backhand rubber. It has good spin and great blocking and punching capabilities.

Goma X

Very good control, spin, and speed.

Great rubber! However, you need to play for at least 3-4 hours to unlock its full benefits. The weight for a 157x150 sheet is 48 grams. I played this rubber on a Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon blade backhand and Andro Novacell OFF blade forehand.

The R47 is very grippy - quite fast but slower than T05 - it produces a lot of spin - more stable than T05 in pushes - strongly recommended!

Tough, with little control.

This is an awesome update of Rasant Spin!

#12 — January 2020

I used this rubber in a 2 mm thick forehand. I would like to compare it with Tibhar Aurus Prime.

The sponge of Rasanter is slightly softer than the Aurus Prime. The ball enters the sponge slightly. It is a little easier to play with Rasanter.

In terms of spin, the two rubbers are similar. Coping with the plastic ball is easier with the Aurus Prime because Aurus is more powerful.

It is also more stable and easy with smash throw Aurus. It is difficult to decide between the two rubbers.

Been using this rubber on my FH for a couple of weeks, with a max thickness. First impressions are that this rubber is incredible. Switching from a worn-out Evolution EL-S to a brand new R47, I was amazed at the amount of spin that could be generated with this rubber. The speed is fast, it is sensitive to incoming spin, and has a medium-hard feel. For me, this rubber weighed 47g uncut. In conclusion, this rubber is an excellent choice.

UPDATE: After 7 months, this rubber is still very good. After the rubber was broken in, readjusting to the softer feel is necessary. Once you get used to the new feel, this rubber is top quality.

#14 — December 2019

For me, one of the best universal rubbers. Not for beginners; only players with well-fitting stroke and position game can use its whole potential and control it. The rubber is more forgiving than my other favorites (Fastarc G-1 and Aurus Prime). It works well on any blade; I can use it on both sides. I mostly prefer it on BH. Will use it next season round on TSP Balsa 6.5.

I think this rubber is just for rotations. The Powerful of 47° is not very good. When we go very strong in the ball, she goes down into the rubber. The feeling to the touch is 42°.

The throw angle is medium, not “medium high.” We must (still) to rub the ball in the topspin. So, this rubber is definitely different to the T05. Playing flat is hard with R47.

I’ve had this Fast Rubber for 3 months now. It’s good for chopping, blocking, and counter-attacking. Using an ALC carbon blade, I have trouble looping underspin with this rubber. When it does go in, it doesn’t have a lot of spin, which I struggle with because I’m a heavy looper. However, spin drive is a strength of this rubber. Sometime it’s hard to control.

Overall, it’s a great rubber. I wouldn’t recommend it if you like using soft rubbers (37*). I tried my teammate’s 37 and what a difference! You can feel the ball in R37 and know upon contact if the ball is going in or not. R47 does not have that feeling.

#17 — September 2019

It took some time to adapt from R37 to R47, but if you know how to use it, it’s a monster.

This rubber excels in touch play and fast play close to the table and mid distance. Smashes are also very easy to do with it.

The Spin Machine!!!

This rubber is a true spin machine. It produces an insane amount of spin, making it perfect for players who love to loop and drive. The ball just seems to jump off the table with this rubber. It’s also very durable, so you can expect it to last a long time.

#19 — September 2019

Good rubber, good velocity for players who play near the table, results in powerful shots with high spin.

#20 — August 2019

Good for hitters. Inconsistent loops. Not bad for backhand. 05 still mops the floor with it.

#21 — June 2019

This rubber is a disappointment. It feels uncomfortable and lacks spin. The speed is also average at best.

#22 — May 2019

I bought this rubber from Aliexpress for $47 with free shipping, which converts to £36. This is much cheaper compared to the shipping charges from other websites.

This ultra max rubber is extremely fast and provides excellent spin. The control is also great. I am using it with a Galaxy T11+ blade. Since it is a high-speed rubber, it is not suitable for defensive players. In my opinion, I believe it outperforms Tenergy 05.

Sin duda alguna, la mejor goma que he tenido.

Gomas probadas: Andro Good, Nittaku Amin, Nittaku Factive, Yasaka Rakza 7, DHS Hurricane 3, Xiom Omega VII Euro…

I have used the Rasanter R47 for close to a month now, and it is a high-quality rubber. It is heavy and fast, yet still offers great control and good spin on topspin shots.

As an aggressive player who normally loops the first ball back to the opponent, I have found that this rubber generates spin with a lot of speed, even on slow controlled loops. Chopping is also effective, and the rubber is responsive whenever I need to play it.

Most impressively, I am now able to generate more spin on my serves than before. The rubber shines well in counter top spin situations, and I was surprised by the control I have on my blocks as well.

Overall, I highly recommend this rubber to advanced players who are looking to switch to tensor rubbers soon. It pairs well with Allround or Offensive Carbon ply woods. I currently use it on an Andro Treiber CI OFF blade for my forehand.

#25 — February 2019

Andro’s grippy rubber has been consistently impressive over the last five years. This particular rubber features innovative technology, combining a thicker sponge and thinner surface. As a result, it offers exceptional speed and spin. It’s arguably one of the spinniest rubbers on the market, comparable to a speed-glued Adidas P7 multiplied tenfold. Highly recommended for forehand use.

#26 — December 2018

Played since 1983, I’ve tried them all :)
This is a definite keeper! I play it on a Temper Tech ALL blade with a 2.0 thickness.
The rubber is very comfortable with all kinds of strokes, making it easy and natural to switch from loop to flat hard hit with good control.
It provides very good spin when serving.
It’s probably the best I’ve played and beats the overpriced Tenergy as well.

#27 — December 2018

Very nice forehand rubber. I will test it more and write a review soon. If you have any questions, just ask. I can say that I like it more than EL-S and MX-S on forehand. On backhand, I am totally satisfied with the MX-S.

#28 — September 2018

The best rubber I have played with. I have tried 126 rubbers and 53 blades over the past nine years. It took me four to five times to tame this beast, but now we are one!

#29 — July 2018

Switched from the Rasant Grip since I needed to replace my old one and they stopped making it. So I went with the R47 based on a few reviews and it was the right choice.

This is much spinnier than the grip and the throw angle is a little higher. My power loops were dropping closer in on the table and some of my usual opponents had a way harder time returning my shots and even commented on the increase in spin. Doing my usual serves I could clearly see results from the increase in spin as well.

I don’t think the speed on smashes, drives, etc is much better than the grip, probably just about the same. There is less catapult than the grip based on some passive blocks I did to test but still enough to get balls over the net with some pace if you ever needed to.

I use the R47 2.3 max on FH on my Andro Ligna OFF blade. I use V47 in 2.3 max on BH. But I might switch to R47 on BH as well based on how it handles.

#30 — July 2018

Very good update of the Rasant Grip: the rubber has more power, and the spin is very strong in topspin and serves too. It has very good control in every shot, amazing countertopspin, pushes, and short returns. Not for beginners.

UPDATE 18/06/17: I love this rubber, but the durability is very poor. After 30-40 days, you have to change it if you have training sessions of 7-8 hours a week. I think I’ll go for Donic Bluestorm Z1 or Z2 or DHS Gold Arc 8.

UPDATE 16/07/18: I tried Rasanter R50; if you are able to play with a harder rubber, this is the perfect choice. The spin is higher than the R47, the throw angle is lower, but it has very high durability compared with the R47.

#31 — July 2018

My review is based on a comparison with Andro Grip. It is a nice update, and it is really faster. Every aspect of the game has been improved:

  • Speed: It is faster than Andro Grip.
  • Spin: It feels like playing with a C-ball and makes it easier to score points with serves.
  • Throw angle: It has a slightly higher throw angle.
  • Short game: It is easy to play short games with this rubber.
  • Blocks: It is good for blocking.

However, there are some drawbacks:

  • Passive shots: If you are out of position and expect this rubber to do the trick, it won’t happen. You have to play all the points, otherwise it is really difficult to control.
  • Control: It has less control than the Rasant Grip.
  • Durability: I haven’t tested the durability for now, but I trust Andro for this.
#32 — April 2018

Perfect forehand rubber for topspin lovers. It doesn’t get out of control and can spin like a monster. This rubber has surpassed T05, MXP, or the likes. Just don’t pair it with extremely hard blades. Durability is also good.

#33 — April 2018

This rubber has some great qualities but it’s not without its faults. I’ve used about four sheets now. The speed isn’t as fast as I expected, but it’s still pretty good. The spin is also very good.

However, I think there’s a lot of hype surrounding this rubber. Compared to T05, it’s quite close in terms of performance. But there’s some variation in quality.

Occasionally, it creates a very low throw angle, which forces the ball straight into the net. I’ve never experienced this with any of the other 20+ rubbers I’ve used, including MX-P, EL-P, and T05.

My former pro coach also mentioned this issue. He felt that there might be some kind of defect with the rubber. He tried three of my sheets and all of them had the same problem. Maybe I just got unlucky and got a defective batch, but that’s just how it is. I’ve also used three sheets of V47 and the issue persists.

#34 — March 2018

Great rubber, played on both sides on an off blade.

Serves have good spin, topspins are fast with good spin, the curve on the ball off the forehand is very noticeable and in faster shots, pushes can be kept short and decently spinny, or pushed deep. Backhand flicking is not great but is okay.

The main complaint is forehand flicking. After upgrading from R42, flicks never land, the spin always affects it too much. Otherwise, a fantastic rubber, definitely recommended to any medium-level player who wants to step up their topspin/offensive game or to a high-level player looking for a good rubber with control without sacrificing speed or spin.

#35 — February 2018

Best best best!

This is an excellent table tennis rubber. It is very grippy with a hard sponge. It also is very fast. However, the lifespan is a bit short. Table tennis rubber is considered a consumable good. So it must be replaced every few months. Still, for that few months, it will play very well.

#36 — February 2018

Definitely an upgrade of power grip.
Rocket fast, quite spinny and lots of control.
Best rubber I ever played with.

#37 — January 2018

Best rubber ever. Better than T05!!!

#38 — December 2017

This rubber is faster than the Tenergy series, but it can generate nearly as much spin. The noticeable difference is that Tenergy has a sharper feeling when hitting the ball and reacts more violently against spin. However, the Rasanter compensates for this with a little more control.

It’s unclear why so many intermediate players waste their money on Tenergy when they could buy something equally good at half the price.

#39 — December 2017

A friend told me to try the new Andro Rasanter. Ever since then, I am in love with it. Thanks to the Ultramax sponge and its 2.3mm thickness, the spin that I can generate is massive. This very fast rubber will take some getting used to, but it’s worth it. The ball throw is also higher because it is a new rubber for the 40+ ball. Trust me, this rubber is a killer compared to other topspin rubbers!

#40 — December 2017

Beast! Like no other rubber out there. SPIN IS AWESOME!

#41 — October 2017

This one is hard to review. For the first four weeks, it’s great (spin, speed, feel). By the fifth week, you can start to feel the decline (a little less spin/speed/feel) and gets progressively worse in the following weeks.

I mean it’s not unplayable, but it’s just not enjoyable. So if you have the money, it’s great. But for my budget, it’s too expensive.

It could be that I’m used to playing with rubbers for months on end. I could replace TG2 Neo 2 or 3 times a year and be happy throughout (though it clearly does not have the speed of R47).

#42 — September 2017

Before, I was using Tibhar MXP and Andro Powergrip. Rasanter R47 is faster than Powergrip and has more control. I would give it a 9.0 for control. I feel more dwell time with it than the MXP and more spin than both MXP and Powergrip.

Rasanter R47 is a really good forehand rubber, but for my playstyle, I prefer Cornilleau Target Pro H47 on the backhand because the control in this rubber is the best with a high arc.

#43 — September 2017

Pretty good rubber that can do it all. The reported durability of 5.8 is an underestimate. Though it was feared that the durability would be very low, it turns out to be quite reasonable.

#44 — July 2017

Bought Rasanter R47 ultramax thickness. It is a very fast rubber with great control. As expected, it is heavier than R42. The sponge hardness is just right.

Passive + active block is great. I struggle with BH flick. Loop with this rubber is very nice with medium arc trajectory.

#46 — July 2017

Amazing rubber. I’m using Ultramax with a Nittaku Acoustic blade. It offers great feeling and control. Compared to many rubbers I’ve tried, it’s the best. It’s not as bouncy as Tenergy, so it has much better control with the same spin. I use it on the forehand or backhand and it performs well against heavy spin. You can even chop some balls with it. It’s not an easy rubber to use like Mark V, but it will boost your game a lot. You can play it on forehand or backhand with no problem, at least on the Acoustic blade. The rating of “very, very fast” may apply to carbon blades. Durability is still under review.

Some of us, like myself who played back when the ball was 30mm, remember the 2.5 sponge. So when I heard that this rubber had a thinner top but thicker sponge (2.3), I wanted to try it out. Previously, I was using Bluefire M2.

One thing I noticed right away while using different plastic balls was that there wasn’t much of a difference, unlike with the M2. The feeling was great! I could feel the ball grip into the sponge, and I felt I had more control. Yes, it’s fast, especially when you use a very fast blade like I do. But, I could play blocks more aggressively. Even counter topspins were amazing with this rubber. It worked great against pips players as well.

While playing an attacker, he served it fast with pretty good underspin for that amount of speed, but when I returned it, I felt the grip, and it returned it very low and fast with good spin — so good, in fact, that my opponent was so surprised.

This doesn’t mean that the rubber is good for the chopping game away from the table. If you are a modern chopper, this would be great for your offense. In general, this rubber is great for offensive and all-around players who want to put pressure on their opponents and able to defend if their opponents put pressure on them. :) Best rubber ever that I have tried so far!

#48 — May 2017

Great attacking rubber but it is very fast and lacks control if you have a game that is not based on constant offense. Not sure why people are giving this 9 out of 10 control, that is a joke…

Not a rubber for beginners and even intermediate players will struggle to contain this beast.

#49 — Long Time Ago...

Second best rubber I’ve ever used, second only to the Yinhe Mercury 2. It is great for forehand and backhand. I highly recommend it for offensive players.

#50 — Long Time Ago...

Table Tennis Rubber Review

This rubber is excellent. I used it for my forehand and experienced good speed and spin. It also provides an amazing feeling for the ball and sounds great.

However, I found it to be a bit too fast for backhand, which I am not as proficient with. I had difficulty controlling the ball while spinning with my backhand. Overall, it is a really good rubber for forehand.
