Have this on my forehand now, and it plays like a dream. I should add that it is glued to a (rather soft) Ma Long 5 all wooden blade, so I don’t feel the supposed 47.5 degrees of hardness. It feels like I am playing with a spinnier medium rubber that almost feels like Vega Japan, but much lighter.

Brush loops are wonderful, and serves are good. I tried my Omega VII Europe (on my DHS 301 blade) yesterday and in comparison, Europe feels like a tame dog compared to a wolf.

Review:

Currently, I am using the second sheet of this rubber, and I have a very positive opinion about it. It is fast and spiny, as well as light, high quality, and durable.

What impresses me most is its ability to produce topspins with a very low bounce near the end of the table. Looping on backspin with a forehand is phenomenal, with great control, a medium and long arc, and brutal finishers. However, it is not a rubber for beginners; one must have good skills to use it effectively.

Despite its 47.5-degree hardness, the rubber feels softer due to its elastic top sheet, producing a nice and crispy sound. At 40 euros for a top-end rubber, it offers excellent value in my country.

I really like the Omega Pro 5. However, when I decided to check out and buy the Omega Pro 7, I was totally disappointed. The ball flies erratically, and the grip is no better than the Omega Pro 5. Additionally, it constantly peels off from the Andro Treiber FO at the point of contact with the ball.

Another easy-to-play rubber, quite similar to DNA M but with a slightly harder topsheet and a little less spin. The feeling is still quite soft, but it’s easier to flat hit (smash) than with the DNA.

Used the rubber for over 2 months now, switching from DHS Hurricane 8 tacky rubber. While the top sheet doesn’t feel tacky, the ball generates a lot of spin in both topspin and underspin situations.

It is easy to control both topspin and blocking (including countering topspin).

The rubber is not very heavy, allowing for faster movements.

This rubber can be felt more on the blade, producing a crispy and clear sound.

To date, this is the best forehand rubber for my style of play, which I use with a DHS Hurricane 301 blade (pen hold).

OMEGA VII PRO is a rubber designed to play from any distance from the table. It offers high control, making it easy to play with. At a great price, it delivers exceptional quality. The rubber is very comfortable for both forehand and backhand shots. With a throw angle of 47.5, it falls into the category of medium-hard rubbers. Its durability ensures longevity. I highly recommend this rubber for its combination of features and affordability.

This rubber is amazing. It’s no wonder why it’s Calderano’s new rubber. I’m a player with 2300 ranking points in the USA, and I’ve been playing for about 20 years. My previous rubber was Tenergy 05 fx, but now Xiom Omega 7 Pro is improving my game.

This rubber has good control for blocking. At the same time, it’s fast and great with counter-spin. It’s amazing at middle distance and perfect for the third ball. My configuration is Xiom Zetro Quad, FH: Xiom Omega 7 Pro 2.0 and BH Tenergy 80.

Great job, Xiom!

I highly recommend this rubber. I’ve been playing for 20 years and have tried everything, and this will be my current rubber and one of my favorites. Plus, you don’t need to invest $100 to get quality and consistency in your game. It’s the rubber Hugo Calderano uses today. I use it on the FH. My configuration is Xiom Zetro Quad, BH Tenergy 80.

Don’t play with it on hinoki blades or thick wood blades.

The worst thing for me is that it has very poor performance on new Xiom blades such as ZX2 with soft hinoki top layers: low speed, low throw. It definitely needs harder outer layers to perform. Quite surprised that Xiom didn’t test Omega 7Pro on their new blade series, half of which are with hinoki outers.

Plays really great on hard blades whether they are stiff or not (TB ALC, Innerforce ALC, Korbel Japan).

This rubber definitely needs boosting. I put two mild layers of Falco Tempo Long on the sponge, and it plays much better. It has more dynamics, a lot more spin, and very good ball feeling.

Unboosted rubber is hard, fast, and uncontrollable. Boost adds dynamics to the sponge, so lifting backspin is no longer a problem. The throwing angle stays low, making topspins difficult to counter.

If you are an attacker with consistent topspin strokes from both wings, this rubber might be a lethal weapon. I can’t agree that it is useful for beginners. This rubber demands a really good set of skills.

I played Tenergy 05 and now I play Omega VII Pro. This rubber is a very good option to Tenergy 05!

Good speed, spin, and control, but less durable.

Saya sangat menyukai karet ini. Bermain dengannya begitu menyenangkan. Putaran menjadi lebih indah. Namun, karet ini sedikit lebih lambat dibandingkan Tenergy 05.

High-quality product, both the top sheet and sponge are different from other Xiom series. It looks premium quality. The black sponge is very porous but feels springy and hard. The top sheet is extremely grippy and has a matte elastic finish.

Compared to the previous Omega V Pro, it feels very similar in every area. Omega 7 does not feel faster than Omega 5 Pro. Also, 5 Pro has more spin than the new one. So is it worth the new premium price for Xiom Pro 7? I think not. Maybe it has more juice in it and holds its performance longer, but that is yet to be seen for a full durability test.

One thing I do like better on the Xiom Omega7 Pro is its beautiful clicking sound when putting good topspins. Excellent rubber overall, minus the price.

I haven’t really rated or reviewed before, but I feel like this rubber deserves a shout out. Very light and high-quality rubber with a lot of capabilities. The lightness is very much noticeable. I used it on my backhand, and it felt nice.

I performed the test with six other players. The new Omega VII Pro has a very good catapult. The topsheet is very grippy and the hardness is a little softer than 47.5° when touching the sponge and topsheet with the fingers. However, the power and the feeling are precisely that of a hard rubber.

The Omega VII Pro is more suited for players who prefer middle distance than a close to the table position. This is because from the middle distance, the rubber accelerates and develops its strength in terms of speed, power, and spin.

The best feature of the O7Pro is the countertopspin. When the ball arrives at the opposite side of the table, it accelerates forward, increasing the spin and speed. This makes it very difficult for the opponent to return the ball. Only the Mizuno Q3 is better in countertopspin over the table and close to the table. This is because it is more insensitive to spin, allowing you to hit very hard every kind of topspin and you will always find the table.

In the opening topspin, the O7P has a huge amount of spin if you hit the ball tangentially and with a fast movement of the arm. On the fifth ball, you can go forward with strong power and easily finish the point. The ball flight curve is medium-high in slow topspin and medium in strong topspin.

The block is almost perfect, very safe and precise. Only the Z1 is on this level. The service is very good, but only players with a very good and fast movement of the wrist can impart a strong spin on services.

Another good feature of the O7Pro is the short reply to the service. The ball trajectory is low and with spin, and the step “short cut - short cut” is amazing. The O7P is also a beast in forehand flip, and you will rarely make a mistake.

The O7P is a powerful topspin rubber similar to the Aurus Prime. You can hit strong forward also the ball with a good amount of underspin above the table. Also, the weight is lower than other rubbers, which is fantastic. Enjoy!

Very good rubber. It is fast and produces good spin. Producing the amount of spin this rubber is capable of takes good technique. It has a medium throw angle. If you have good technique, it can do whatever you want very well (loops, drives, chops…). Some things are not as easy to do as with a Vega Pro, but the power and lethality of the shot are amazing.
