Blocks: Excellent
Drives: Pretty good
Counters: Insanely good and insensitive to spin
Looping: Good
Powerlooping: Not good, tends to dump in the net; requires brushing and hitting in the same stroke for power and spin.
Serve/Receive: Mediocre
Opening: Easy when brushing the topsheet only.

Overall, this rubber is average for players who want to set up for a shot on the other side of the racket or counter for the win. Counterlooping and topspinning fast and powerfully are not its strengths, but it offers good spin and countering capabilities.

One of the best backhand rubbers! It’s spin insensitive, so backhand flicks against heavy spins are easy. The medium-hard sponge makes the rubber consistent when flicking. It has good speed and control, a solid catapult effect, and reasonable amounts of spin. Overall, I would rate it 8.5/10. This rubber is a safe bet; you can’t go wrong with it. The Omega series is a much better choice than Vega in today’s era.

I use it backhand on YEO as 2 mm sponge in black color. It’s very nice for blocking, produces crisp feeling and is not sensitive to spin. It has a 45-degree sponge and a firm top sheet, so it doesn’t have a soft feel. For topspin games, you must brush the ball property. Then, it can be a spin monster and the speed is phenomenal. It has a nonreactive sponge, so it is very controllable over the table. If you hit hard, it will produce very spiny top spins with a lot of speed. And, it is durable too. For 35 euros in my country, it is a good value for money.

Best FH I played so far. You have to play with this rubber for 4-5 sessions to see its full potential. The rubber gets bouncier and faster after 8-10 hours of playing with it. After this, it holds its performance for a long time. Buy it, test it for 8-10 hours, and you will see what I mean. You will find my full review here:

For the price, it is horrible! I cared for this rubber like my baby, but after 3 months it went dead. If you want a good pushing or flat hitting rubber, this will do you fine. However, if you want anything else, then don’t bother buying this. I got my coach and other players to try it, and they were surprised how bad it was. No top spin, not much spin for the price, and no “wow” factor. Save your money.

#6November 2017

Very nice rubber. It’s easy to generate spin in drives with good speed. Although it’s the softest version among Omega rubbers serie, it’s not a soft rubber, maybe more of a medium one. It’s not a tacky rubber, so it is perfect for blocking and receiving serves because it’s very insensitive for incoming effect. Serves are just OK, not awesome, but not bad either. It is very durable. I’ve had it for 4 months and it’s still good, so nothing to complain about. I use this rubber on the FH of my Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Ofensive blade (Chinese penhold) and it becomes very easy to open game with topspin, even against heavy backspin serves.

Review Text:

This rubber is excellent for backhand play. Its exceptional control is the primary reason for its popularity. Transitioning from Andro Hexer to this rubber was seamless, offering similar gameplay. The spin-insensitive nature of this rubber enhances backhand reliability.

To generate spin, engage the sponge fully due to the non-tacky surface. Doing so produces incredible spin, even on short, fast strokes. This makes it ideal for backhand flips, openers, and drives.

#8July 2017

Very good rubber.

It takes 1-3 sessions to adjust to the rubber. After that, it becomes superb.

It is best for forehand, and the touch feels very good.

The spin and speed have a good punch, and the best is its control.

#9June 2017

Good but not the best compared to other rubbers in the same omega v series. Tour and pro are much better than Europe. I found Europe much slower and less forgiving.

#10January 2017

This is a good rubber with a decent amount of speed but focuses more on spin. Its throw angle is medium-high. Overall, this rubber is balanced and really good for an offensive backhand that requires good control.

#11January 2017

The sheet weighed 49 grams when cut to my 157 mm x 150 mm blade, placing it between Tibhar’s MX-P and Stiga’s Airoc Astro M.

FH flat hits had a tendency to go long. Properly executed FH loops resulted in a nice crisp sound and a beautiful arc over the net.

Soft, touch-based loops from mid-distance are encouraged over hard loop drives. Opening loops against backspin are easy due to the high throw, but generating high speed is difficult, allowing the opponent to get into position and attack the slow loop.

I am very disappointed with this rubber. Brand new out of its package and on the first day of play, the top sheet is stiff, the sponge is firm, and there is no dwell time. The speed is medium, and the spin is medium but nothing special. The manufacturer says it has dynamic friction technology, but still the grip is nothing special; it’s average. The Omega 4 Europe is a far better rubber.

#13November 2016

Excellent rubber. I am using it on a forehand (FH). It is fast, generates great spin, and has very good control.

#14July 2016

Excellent rubber that combines great speed, spin, and control. It’s remarkably easy to play with. I prefer using it on the backhand.

#15July 2016

I got this in a 2.0 sponge for my backhand. I think it shines on the backhand because it is not too sensitive to incoming spin and has nice control; however, it is also excellent for looping. This rubber is very spinny and has a higher throw angle, so it’s naturally suitable for looping. Drive and block are also very good. I’m sure this could be used very well on the forehand as well.

#16October 2015

Really nice rubber in all facets. Supposedly it is not all that great close to the table, but I found it to be accurate and linear at all distances. My favorite aspect of the rubber is its ability to impart topspin, which allows for sensational looping from backhand and forehand. For example, picking up backspin or topping side spin is made quite easy with this rubber. The push is just OK – not my forte, so it’s hard to rate. Smash is also really consistent and solid.

#17August 2015

I am using 2.0 mm on DHS Power G-7 as a backhand rubber. I shifted from Moon Pro to this about six months ago and found it very good at first. But lately, I realized that it has lost some spin and control. It may be due to my combo, but I believe that as a spin rubber, it is not grippy enough to catch the ball in difficult situations. This becomes especially evident when you are in an awkward position where an incomplete loop or topspin is required. In other words, you must always complete your move carefully to find the target.

#18May 2015

Originally, I tried the Omega 5 Euro on my Xiom Axelo blade, and it performed reasonably well for both forehand (FH) and backhand (BH). While it was a bit bouncy, it still offered decent spin.

However, I subsequently moved it to my 5P blade, and the performance became inconsistent. Sometimes, it generated excellent spin, while on other occasions, it lacked spin altogether on the same shot.

Despite these inconsistencies, I would still recommend this rubber.

Update:

I have since moved the rubber back to my Axelo blade and am now using it exclusively for BH. It exhibits good spin and speed, and while it remains slightly bouncy, it feels comfortable. I recommend this rubber, but it’s important to consider the specific blade it will be used on.

Review:

This is a very easy-to-use rubber. I use it in maximum thickness for forehand. First loop, second loop, or killing hit are all very easy to execute. It’s also very easy to play near the net with this rubber. However, it does not accept incoming spin. Passive blocking is easy, and I can make drop shots from loops.

I’ve been using this rubber for three months and it looks like it’s been used, but it still plays like a new rubber.

I use AVX P500 (5 layers, wood only, springy blade) with this rubber.

#20January 2015

Cut on a standard shakehand blade, the rubber weighs 50 grams (at maximum thickness). This makes it a heavy rubber, especially compared to Fastarc S-1, which weighs 41 grams (2.0mm being its thickest version).

The rubber offers super spin; you can notice the tremendous spin it generates within 10 seconds of using it. Speed and control are also great. However, if you can create a lot of spin, control will not be an issue, and the ball will maintain good speed even after hitting the opponent’s table.

In my opinion, the hardness of the top sheet and sponge are truly medium, as rated in this database.

#21January 2015

I tried the Xiom Omega V Europe on my TSP gaia. I have had a Xiom Vega Europe on this blade before and can feel almost no difference. Perhaps I am not a good enough player. However, in my opinion, the Evolution EL-P and the Adidas Tenzone Ultra have way more power and are more spinny while being just as heavy. It plays similarly to the Victas V-01 Limber and Donic Bluefire JP03 as well.

From my perspective, the Rasant Grip, mentioned above, is in a completely different level of gameplay. To summarize:

Good Off- control/spin rubbers:

Spin Monsters:

New Spin Monster/ Fast Attack/ Aggro rubbers:

#22January 2015

After using Andro Rasant Grip for six months, I sought a change and found this rubber to be ideal.

It offers a subtly softer feel and a higher throw. Subjectively, I perceive it to be slightly slower than Rasant Grip or perhaps the softer feel creates this impression. The spin is comparable, while I experienced significantly improved control.

Despite its slightly heavier weight, which is on par with Rasant Grip, I quickly adapted due to my prior experience. Overall, it provides an exceptional playing sensation. Among the rubbers I’ve tested, this one stands out as the best.

I opted for the maximum thickness and paired it with the Infinity VPS V FL Master blade, a combination that has yielded excellent results.

#23October 2014

The Best fh rubber I’ve ever used. It provides more spin and feeling than its predecessor, the Omega IV Europe. I also find it plays better than the Sigma series. It is easy to counter loop and counter smash. Pushing and serves are full of effect and easy to keep low on the table.

#24February 2021

I am using max on my forehand. I don’t find it difficult when playing well, to slow topspin, drive, or smash. It is not overly reactive to incoming spin. When I used 2mm it was easy to control but no noticeable catapult effect. With either thickness, I doubt if this rubber is great for the 3rd ball attack winner, other than a smash. I tried Euro 7 max. I had far less control, I couldn’t lift a low ball away from the table and smashing was too hit and miss.

#25December 2018

GOOD CONTROL, GOOD SPIN, BUT I HAVE TO CHANGE TO A HARDER RUBBER (MXP).

#26December 2017

Mizuno Wave Drive 8 is a great shoe. It is soft inside and keeps your foot stable when you’re playing.
I’m very happy with the quality and price.

Special thanks to the Tabletennis11 team for the easy replacement of the shoes with the correct size.

#27October 2017

Perfect.

#28July 2017

Tudo correto. Produto ótimo.

#29June 2017

Love this rubber. Will be ordering more today.

#30May 2017

It is really the bread and butter of Xiom. A reliable rubber that does everything really well. It has a nice arc with good catapult, very good spin and speed. It is not the best rubber close to the table because it bounces a bit too much for my taste. The fact is that despite my belief that there are better options out there (not many), you cannot go wrong with Omega V Euro. TT11 Service is always awesome!

#31March 2017

Great rubber, amazing feeling, consistent spin. It is almost non-reactive to opponent’s spin. Enjoy.

#32January 2017

Fine quality rubber. Put it on pg7. Can do anything with straight performance. Would recommend for up to average level of offensive style players.

#33January 2017

Not soft. Fast enough and spinny.

#34January 2017

Not as impressive as Tenergy 05, but lasts longer at half the price. I used it on my forehand, which wears out lots of good rubbers.

#35November 2016

Excellent rubber for backhand.

#36November 2015

A fast and strong rubber. Good for offensive players. It is even better for 40+ balls, obviously not as good if you are still playing with the old-fashioned balls.

#37July 2015

I just bought this rubber and received it very quickly from tabletennis11, very good service. Omega V Euro is very good for looping and powerful for me. Very good rubber!

#38June 2015

This rubber works wonders. You can play every shot, whether loop, brush, counter loop, block or chop. Everything can be done with this rubber. Sometimes even I myself am confused, wondering how I did that. The only caveat is that one has to be habituated to playing with Xiom rubbers. If you already liked playing with Vegas or Omega IVs earlier, then you might want to reconsider or you might get confused. Go for it!

#39May 2015

It is very consistent with Xiom Hayabusa Z+.

#40April 2015

Great for backhand, blocks, loops, and even chops are pretty good. However, you have to give it just a couple of days to get used to. Then, you won’t regret it.

Spin and control are awesome.
A bit more expensive. Should be around $35.

#42November 2014

Very good rubbers. I use them on my forehand and they are very effective. Tabletennis11.com delivered them quickly and in good condition.

#43October 2023

I think this is a kind of old rubber. It shrinks a lot when you take it off, with not a lot of speed and spin. Pretty safe nice arc over the net, works well with ZLC, Zexion, Super PBOC, etc. Also works well with hinoki blades. An all-around rubber, nothing special. A few years ago I was impressed by it, but now there are better choices, even from Xiom. Expensive for what it offers. Good luck!

#44June 2023

I installed this Omega V Europe on the backhand, and I had Xiom Europe before; I find this rubber performed better than the Xiom Europe, although not by much but as I ordered Max with rubber and I find the returning spin is more powerful than the Xiom Europe, and as for control, I find it quite satisfying. I am very happy with this purchase.

#45November 2021

Just put this on a Xiom Extreme S (all-wood) 2 weeks ago.
I LIKE it, but it’s less forgiving than the Vega Euro.
It’s faster and you can get more bite, but you have to put more into your shot to get the benefit of the harder sponge.
Blocking feels hotter, but I’m putting more in the net.
I’m just hitting the top of the net more on shots and blocks, so I’m still tuning.

#46July 2021

I’ve used this rubber on a backhand in 2.0 sponge thickness. Great control and good speed. The only thing that I didn’t like is the durability of the topsheet.

#47July 2020

Grippy and strong rubber for backhand. Durable.

#48February 2020

It is very good for backhand cuts and pushes.

#49March 2019

My blade is a Timo Boll ALC and I used to use Tenergy rubbers. However, I had problems controlling serves with a lot of spin. After reading reviews of other rubbers at Table Tennis 11, I took the risk of trying other rubbers. For suggestions of reviews, I selected Xiom Omega V Europe for forehand and Yasaka Rakza 7 for backhand. However, these rubbers were adjusted better in the opposite way - Xiom Omega V Europe for backhand and Yasaka Rakza for forehand. Currently, I am very satisfied with the combination I have. Xiom Omega V Europe is a fast rubber with excellent control.

#50March 2019

The table tennis rubber is very grippy. The paddle feels great in your hand. I’ve noticed an improvement in my spin and control since switching to this rubber. I highly recommend it.

#51March 2019

I use this rubber on my BH. Just love it.

#52March 2019

Laba, bet IV pro - labāka.

#53February 2019

Added so much spin to my game.

#54February 2019

Try it once, much better than Xiom Vega Pro.

#55December 2018

Good for backhand. Spinny and has good control.

#56July 2018

Spinny rubber. Suitable for my backhand. Recommended.

#57March 2018

This rubber is excellent. It has everything one expects from a good rubber. The only detail is that I think it is too fast for my backhand.

#58March 2018

Rather good rubber, reasonably fast, excellent spin, and control. Rather insensitive to incoming spin. A bit faster than the Omega IV Euro. Used on a backhand of Butterfly Maze (carbon) and later on Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition. Unfortunately, I didn’t get used to its high throw angle, and my backhand spins were flying over the table too frequently. Maybe for a higher-level player, it would be a good fit, but not for me, so I’m sticking to the Omega IV Euro on the backhand.

#59February 2018

Happy with the sale.

#60February 2018

Great backhand rubber. I could see it as a forehand rubber on a fast blade as well. Control is great. Blocking, pushing, topspin, and serving are all easy. My favorite attribute is the feeling of the ball sinking into the rubber before unleashing a heavy topspin drive.

#61February 2018

Excellent for fast and controlled loops.

Excellent service from Tabletennis11.

#62January 2018

Use on backhand. Doesn’t break down very fast. Lasts for several months. More responsive than the rubber I was using.

#63December 2017

My English is not good enough to write a review, but I can say that I am greatly satisfied with these rubbers, both for the FH and BH sides.

#64November 2017

Excellent forehand rubber. Ball control is impressive.

#65July 2017

Very good rubber with balanced character between speed and spin with excellent control of the ball.

#66June 2017

A medium-soft rubber, very consistent. A perfect option for all-around players who like to generate good spin and attack with speed, but still block next to the table using the opponent’s attack to place the ball back very fast. It’s not very sensitive to spin, so it helps a lot to receive serves. I use it on the FH with a DHS PG7 blade and it works well, but I think it can also be used on the BH.

#67May 2017

If you read my previous reviews on Xiom rubbers, you realize we’ve been trying them intensively for the last 2 years.

Omega V is a high-end, pro rubber. It has a lot of power, spin, and incredible control. Several players from our national team have recently moved from Tenergy to these rubbers. I’ve personally upgraded from Xiom Vega Pro to this one.

Omega V Pro has more arc than Omega Pro and Asia. It offers the same control, power, and spin.

#68November 2016

Switched to this rubber 5 months ago after a few years of playing with Xiom Omega IV Euro and Elite. All strokes and serves felt right from the very beginning. Control, many gears, spin - top class. Very happy with making this transition.

#69November 2016

It has very good spin. Not as fast as Nittaku Fastarc S1. Heavier than Nittaku Fastarc S1. All in all, it’s good. If it were a little bit livelier and faster, then it would be perfect.

#70November 2016

Tried it on the FH side of my Vega Tour blade. Loops are okay, plenty of speed on my drives, but I’m still looking for a bit more performance. I think it will be a pretty good replacement rubber for my BH when my last sheet of Adidas P7 wears out.

#71November 2016

I was playing with Omega IV Elite on my FH but felt I needed something with a little more pop. I tried flipping my racket and playing with my BH rubber (Adidas P7) on my FH, and was pleased with the result. The only problem is that Adidas no longer makes TT equipment. A study of specs showed Omega V Europe to be pretty close to P7, so I bought two sheets. I’m pleased with it on my FH; it loops well, has plenty of speed, spin, and control. When my P7 wears out, I will use it on my BH as well.

#72August 2016

Good.

#73May 2016

Very good, grippy rubber. Excellent spin and control. I ordered 1.8 and the control on the forehand loops or chops are great.

#74March 2016

Very good rubber for backhand.

#75March 2016

It seems like Omega IV feels better.

#76January 2016

Met my expectations with good value.

#77November 2015

Not as bouncy as Omega V Pro, but the grip is fantastic. Looping with this is good. You can do slow, spinny, or counterloops easily. I would use it more on my backhand, but it also serves as a forehand rubber to develop strokes. Very forgiving rubber.

#78November 2015

I use this rubber for my BH. This rubber is a bit heavy, good speed, and spin. Quality European/Japanese kind of rubber. Not a killer rubber but you will not regret. No wonder why XIOM is becoming popular nowadays :).

#79November 2015

This rubber is marvelous for looping with the new plastic balls. Speed 9/10, Spin 10/10, and Control 10/10. If you need more speed and can compromise a bit on control, go for Omega V Pro, otherwise, this is the rubber.

#80September 2015

Very good spin, fast enough for me.
I like it much more than Tenergy 05.

#81September 2015

Used on Donic Black Devil.
Playing style: slow looper, mid to long distance.

Rubbers are very subjective to each player. To me, this is a medium-soft sponge with a soft top sheet.

#82August 2015

Great rubber among any brand and model. Great on any composite OFF blade. Speed, spin, and control are all in it. An all-around attacking rubber for BH and FH. Tabletennis11 service is the best as usual.

#83July 2015

Who would have thought that after the magnificent Vega Europe there could be something even more… But it turned out that there can be, and that is Omega 5 Europe. Moreover, controlled play is possible from all zones, from close to far. No cautious movements! A short and intense touch, and the rest your rubber will finish. Thank you TT11 for the precise work!

#84June 2015

Xiom Omega V Europe is a lovely brand, good for spin and counterplay as well.
