I’ve been using this rubber for 2 weeks. I purchased it after trying it once on a Viscaria blade in our club. I liked the feel and control it had, as well as looping close-mid distance.

However, it performs quite differently on my Petr Korbel blade. I like control and feel when playing close to the table, and chopping and driving are both good.

Looping was a disappointment. Maybe I don’t have enough skill, or maybe it’s the combination with this particular blade model, but I cannot generate enough spin on it. I could hit flat, smash, but producing a high-quality spiny loop is too difficult.

I compare it with Tenergy 05, which I had before. Because of the loop quality, I decided to switch to another rubber (T19) and it seems to be much better now.

Excellent spin production: This rubber provides exceptional spin, allowing for precise and powerful shots.

Excellent speed production: With the appropriate stroke technique, this rubber can generate impressive speed for aggressive play.

Control: Despite its high spin capabilities, this rubber exhibits remarkable control. It is not overly sensitive to incoming spin, providing stability and predictability in various playing situations.

Recommendation: Highly recommended for the backhand, where it combines spin, control, and power for effective defense and counterattacking.

Played in max thickness on Xiom Zetro Quad and Septear on forehand. Personally, I didn’t like it on backhand as the throw was too low for me to backhand loop with confidence. It would be good if you were just looking to push safe, block passive, and punchblock on the backhand. It matches well with soft blades, particularly hinoki top. It has the most similar feeling to speed glued Bryce that I have found. However, like speed glued Bryce, I found that this lower throw rubber forced me to play one way: get into topspin ASAP, offensively, and fast until the point ends. This is where the rubber shines, although I prefer newer generation rubbers where the topsheet grabs the ball more and allows a more varied and enjoyable table tennis experience.

For comparison purposes which may be helpful for others: lighter weight, a touch slower, less spin at low-medium speed/serves, lower throw than Rasant Powergrip 2.1. This is faster, more spinnier, more click feeling, catapult, similar throw to than Palio AK47 Max. As AK47 Red is slower and noticeably lighter, this may give the impression that it has a higher throw vs Omega IV Pro, though only because you can brush and hit harder with AK47 Red

A relatively firm and grippy topsheet combines with a firm sponge (47.5 ESN hardness) to give high spin and speed potential. Paired with a Petr Korbel blade, it gives consistent results on flicks, pushes, smashes, loops, and hits. Lifting backspin is effective. The ball does not slip off the rubber even in humid weather and when loop driving with a very closed racket face. Offensive shots, properly executed, will simply skid and shoot off the opponent’s side!

It may not be helpful to beginners because sound stroke mechanics are required. One needs to hit into the rubber for best results. For the improving player, this rubber gives clear feedback in feel and sound.

Compared to Xiom Vega Pro, the chief difference is that Vega Pro has a supple topsheet, even though both Vega Pro and Omega lV Pro have the same published sponge hardness. With Vega Pro, the feel is like the ball ‘plays’ on the rubber for a moment before shooting out. With the Omega lV Pro, the feel is more immediate.

The rubber is priced approximately 25% cheaper than the latest tensors. My rubber had to be replaced after about 90 hours.

Though this rubber has been around for 10 years, it is still an excellent attacking rubber for intermediate players.

Good rubber, but it lacks spin compared to the Tenergy series. For spin, Tenergy > Xiom.

However, for control and blocking, I prefer this rubber. It’s easier to counter-spin with BH than with Tenergy 64.

The speed and bounce/loop are similar to T64, but the throw angle is a bit lower.
Overall, I prefer this rubber.

Great rubber for an offensive game. I found it slightly better than MX-P. It took me no time to adjust to using it. It retains spin even when hitting a topspin with full speed. It also generates a lot of spin during serves. Highly recommended!

#7 — April 2017

Impressive rubber. I used it in the backhand position with a DHS TG7 blade.

#8 — April 2016

I have Omega IV Pro on Adidas Challenge Speed and Xiom Zetro Quad C-Pen blades. I am reluctant to use T05 because of my playing style and personal preference. I have and like T80 very much glued on harder blades.

Omega IV Pro is an excellent offensive rubber, spinny, speedy, and with great control in blocks. IMO Xiom is a great company with exciting new products (great R&D). Sometimes they introduce their products too fast paced.

I don’t really like this rubber on my BH (Tibhar SPW blade). I think the sponge is too hard for me. Maybe it would be much better on FH.

It’s fast and hard, and it lacks a nice feeling. It can produce nice spin, but it requires very good technique in my opinion.

#10 — February 2016

This rubber is perfect for topspin and aggressive play. I love it.

#11 — December 2015

Hard rubber is great in speed and blocking, rebounding in a straight line. However, I did not like its serve.

#12 — February 2015

This is a very fast rubber that can produce heavy spin when needed. The greatest strength of this rubber is its ability to consistently generate powerful topspins with a strong forehand stroke.

However, the forehand stroke is best executed when combined with a forceful turning motion of the body. This makes it an excellent forehand rubber that boasts exceptional durability, eliminating the need for frequent replacements. I have personally used a sheet for six months, with training for tournaments amounting to approximately 10 hours per week, and it still performs like new.

#13 — November 2014

Very nice rubber with only one caveat: it lacks some spin. However, all other attributes are highly rated.

#14 — November 2014

Pros:

  • Awesome spin

Cons:

  • Hard to control
#15 — October 2014

You can put this rubber on your forehand (FH) or backhand (BH). It is considered an “easy to use” rubber, but to achieve its full potential, you need to have a good swing stroke.

It has good control, dynamic linearity, and is lenient for all types of players. To create a decent heavy loop or topspin, the ball should be deep enough on the top sheet and penetrate adequately to interact with its black carbo sponge. In short, proper dwell of the ball on this rubber should be accomplished for you to create a good spin.

It is perfect for stiff hard blades.

I am around 1500 rating and use this rubber in 2.0 on FH on a Xiom Aria blade (5-ply wood). Coming from Vega Pro, Omega IV Pro has a noticeably harder sponge and faster speed. When flat hitting, you get a satisfying crack of the sponge and when looping a nice click.

Flat hits, smashes, and blocks: This rubber performs really well here. Blocks borrow all of the speed and spin of the opponent’s shot, and propel the ball back on the table. Smashes and drives are fun and satisfying.

Push: The fast speed and hard sponge make service return harder to control, but the pushes are spinny and fast. After some adjustment, I could drop them short over the net too. Requires a lot of finesse for the short game.

Loop: Like Vega Pro, this rubber grabs the ball and imparts tremendous spin. The sponge adds a lot more speed than Vega Pro. The result is lethal loops, but if you make sub-optimal contact, you’ll be punished.

Update: This rubber is incredibly powerful, but just too fast for me to manage. I went back to Vega Pro and am much more confident now.

I used this as my FH rubber for the last 3 years. It has very good spin, speed, and low throw. Loops dip after hitting the other side of the table. I didn’t think I would find a better one, but I have recently switched to Omega V Tour. Omega V Tour has more gears and more control than IV Pro, although it does not have the same destructive power. IV Pro is a very good rubber and is suited for aggressive attack.

#18 — April 2013

Excellent FH rubber for attacking style!

#19 — February 2013

Effortless looping.
Low serves.
Incredible speed.
Very nice rubber from Xiom!
Makes a good FH rubber, but would probably pair better as a backhand to Sigma Europe.

#20 — December 2012

It is fantastic rubber. Very spinny, good speed. It offers a much better feel and lasts longer than any Tenergy series.

However, I have a problem. This rubber bulges up a little bit around the edge of the blade 2-3 days after gluing. I have tried different blades and different glue on this rubber, but the result is the same.

I don’t know if it is only this rubber’s problem or not. My friend has Omega Asia and does not have this issue.

Is there anyone who has the same problem?

#21 — October 2012

Very soft, very speedy for drives.

#22 — October 2012

One of the best rubbers on the market! It is definitely a top 5 choice.

#23 — September 2012

This rubber is for pros only.

#24 — July 2012

#25 — July 2012

This is my FH rubber on DHS Power-G PG7. I was debating between this and Tenergy 05, and I’m glad I went with this one. I find this rubber very similar to Tenergy 05, but it is half the cost.

However, I can say this is definitely more speed and spin than a Sriver G2 FX, and it is also cheaper.

#26 — June 2012

One of the best rubbers I have used! It provides great speed, spin, control, and has an optimal sponge hardness. The rubber suits all types of playing styles, whether close, mid, or far from the table. I use this rubber on my backhand on a Hinoki Shake Swift Blade (medium) with a 5-ply hinoki construction.

#27 — May 2012

Too fast for me. I sold it after 2 sessions of practice.

#28 — April 2012

I think the sponge is quite good, and the top surface may create some spin. However, it cannot replace Tenergy05.

If you are interested in this rubber, you may also try the LKT Black Power. It is similar to this.

#29 — April 2012

The best rubber for me as a J Pen player. I am using it right now. I have no complaints at all. I love it.

#30 — March 2012

I used this on my Forehand (FH) with the Schager Carbon blade. It offers better spin than Tenergy 05 FX, Acuda S1, and Boost TX. This rubber excels for mid and close-to-the-table play, featuring a medium throw angle. It is recommended for hard blades.

While it may not match the speed and smash capabilities of Acuda S1, it is an excellent choice for short-term use (around 4 months) due to its affordability. If you seek a substitute for Tenergy (considered the best rubber), this option is worth considering due to its lower price point.

#31 — March 2012

Would this rubber be a good match with a Joola carbon blade like Joola MC1 PR or Joola Wing Passion Extreme?

Quick reply, please! Thanks!

#32 — February 2012

The rubber provides good speed and very good spin. It excels in drives and mid table game. The block and push are also very good. However, due to the bouncy nature of the rubber, it may not be suitable for play near the net. This may be attributed to my technique.

#33 — February 2012

Great rubber in terms of spin and speed. Control is also good for close-to-table play but decreases slightly at mid distances.

#34 — February 2012

Good rubber!!!.

#35 — January 2012

Before I bought this rubber, I thought I couldn’t play with it because it would be too hard for me since I always use soft rubbers. However, after I tried it, all I can say is that it is not hard at all. Unlike Chinese rubber, I can press my finger on it so easily. The topsheet is very soft, but the sponge is a bit harder. It gives me a great feel on loops, drives, blocks, serves. Very fast. Probably the fastest rubber I ever played with. It provides more speed and spin than Vega pro.

#36 — January 2012

This is an awesome rubber. If you hit the ball with hard top spin, it will produce a super fast, low throw angle ball to your opponent’s side. This rubber compliments my T05.

#37 — November 2011

I play both pen grip and shakehand style. After a 36-year hiatus, I resumed playing 18 months ago.

I sought out a Chinese rubber that would provide spin, speed, and control. The closest options I found were the G999 and Yinhe Moon Pro. I then experimented with the Hammond Beta Pro and Xiom Omega IV Pro. Both rubbers deliver the vicious sidespin I used to possess.

The Omega IV Pro, in particular, has an impressive kick. Contrary to some experiences, it embodies the Mark V rubber’s qualities, refined to create an exceptional attack and defense weapon that instills confidence. It communicates with the ball as you play, making your intentions clear to your opponent.

It excels against bottom spin, allowing for effortless loops from under the table to generate the sidespin mentioned earlier. For pen-grippers, it would be an ideal choice. Unlike Tenergy 05, which I used for an extended period, it is more forgiving and can effectively counter Tenergy opponents.

To me, the Omega IV Pro’s feel, control, spin, and speed create a formidable combination, making it a nightmare for opponents and a powerful tool for its user. Invest in this rubber and experience the thrill of payback.

#38 — November 2011

It’s an awesome rubber, with more spin and speed than Vega Pro.

#39 — July 2011

Changed from Bryce to this. They have the same speed, but this has more spin, a lot more control and consistency, better feel, is way more durable, and makes a lot more clicking sounds. This rubber has a lot of potential and should be as popular as Tenergy. Xiom has only been on the international market for five years, but if you’re an attacker of any sort, this rubber can really help you improve your game.

#40 — May 2011

I changed to this rubber to substitute the too-expensive Tenergy 05, and I am truly surprised. Now, I cannot change to another rubber. It has very good control, spin, and enough speed.

#41 — April 2011

This is a very fast rubber with very good control. I would prefer this rubber to Tenergy 25 since I play close to the table. Blocks and push blocks are excellent and serve very well, especially when doing disguised pendulum serves. A very good rubber for the offensive player.

However, I do not find it suitable for chops.

#42 — March 2011

I’ve got Xiom Omega IV Pro 2.0mm on each side of a Xiom Zetro Quad blade. It provides very good control in the short game.

Serves are spinny enough (similar to Vega Pro and Tenergy 05). Brush looping is easy, while powerloops are amazing. It offers lots of dwell time. Blocking and smashing are decent, but the Vega Pro outperforms in these areas.

It is much lighter than Yasaka Rakza 7 and roughly the same weight and hardness as Xiom Vega Pro.

#43 — January 2011

The Omega PRO rubber is my preferred choice. After using the Omega for a period, I experimented with the Tenergy 05 but ultimately decided to return to the Omega PRO.

Compared to the Tenergy, the Omega PRO offers notably better control and spin, albeit with a slight reduction in speed. These attributes make it an ideal rubber for consistent, attacking play.

I have been using the Omega PRO on a Stradivarius blade, which I believe is an excellent pairing. It provides exceptional feedback along with ample speed and spin. Additionally, the Omega PRO is lighter than the Tenergy, which is a further advantage.

#44 — December 2010

Owesome spin and control. Very good speed. Very durable topsheet. Low throw angle. Good substitute for Tenergy.

#45 — December 2010

Top sheet: Hard
Consistency: Excellent, with good control and speed
Spin: Good, with a good window effect
Price: Cheaper than Tenergy, making it a suitable substitute
Personal experience: Paid SGD 55 for the rubber and highly satisfied, with no plans to change rubber choice

#46 — November 2010

One of the best rubbers for attacking play, it provides very hard spin and good speed, causing many troubles for the opponent. It combines well with Xiom Ignito and BUTTERFLY Timo Boll Spirit and M.Maze

#47 — November 2010

More spin and speed than Vega Pro. Very durable topsheet, similar to T64 but more elastic. Throw angle is lower than T05 and T64.
